AaronTheGreat Azura Bladewright AaronTheGreat The funny thing is, I haven't seen any robots yet.... Perhaps that's because Dr. Eggman isn't the main villain here? That didn't stop robots from appearing everywhere in other games, however, the main point was simply that the whole aspect of enemies and such is different, as to further my point this game probably won't be "same ol' same ol'" I found that thus far, for the mini games, among selectable characters besides the main four, Shadow, Cream, Silver, and Blaze will all also be playable for the mini-games, and there will also be unlockable characters. Even more exciting, there are about 255 bonus unlockables such as history of Sonic videos and interviews. *drool* 3 words. ARE YOU SERIOUS?! eek

ARE YOU SERIOUS?! eek Well the US site says that it apparently is only 225 unlockables, and the number 255 came from an interview, so it's hard to say, but either way that is alot. Oh and Shahra, the Genie of the ring, is pretty cute. Apparently you can also by flying carpets eventually basically for replay value. I'm wondering if the carpets will be Sonic riders style or what....

It might be Sonic Riders style or more like Kingdom Hearts where you battle baddies on a carpet that you can't fall off of.

Not really to me, but what bugs me is, the game hasn't even been released yet and their acting like they've played through the whole thing from beginning to end....

AaronTheGreat Not really to me, but what bugs me is, the game hasn't even been released yet and their acting like they've played through the whole thing from beginning to end.... Uh, the game is out next week, reviewers get preview copies to play and review. That said, I didn't watch the video, but I'm sure all the reviewers have their copy by now. Infact, after watching it, I can guarantee they have a full copy. Reviewers aren't supposed to play the entire thing, all reviews would stop everytime a new Squarenix or Tales of... game came out, they just need to give buyers a feel for what they'll be buying before the game is released. What's the point of a review after the release date? They exist to let people know if it's worth buying or not, and everyone wins when people know this info before the game is out.

Well that logic only works if everyone buys a game on it's exact release date...... I say every Sonic game has great music, even if those two guys say different. Also I'm glad to here that some of the missions will be at a high difficulty....

The sales on the first week are what make or break a game, if it doesn't chart, chances are first off, it wont do well outside of that first week, and second of all, the publisher will anticipate a lower demand, make less copies and therefore go to lower costs to increase their profit as best they can.
The market of gamers who buy a year after a game is out do not factor much into the grand scheme of things. The market is all about those who splash out right away, and they need good reviews to get people to make the plunge. Thusly, a review after release date is not worth it.

Ya but with the dirty world of gaming magazines, who always try to find a number lower than a -#, it's impossible these days. Half the time game reviewers from magazines don't even play the games and just go off of what they think. A lot of games have been called flops only to be greatest hits. God of War(surprisingly), HALO, Transformers, etc...all were ranked lowly and look at them now! Best games ever made. I never go by reviews because you can't trust them any more. I prefer my own personal experience, i think when the rest of the gamers realize this gaming magazines will actually stop being corrupt and some might even disappear *cough* IGN *cough*

I can't wait to see what Nintendo Power gives it. They are pretty accurate when it comes to judging games. If you think about what they've said and play the game afterwards, you can see those flaws. Take the newest Spyro for example. I wasn't impressed, even though I played the series from the start. I must admit some should have gotten higher, like flsuhed Away, which was a bit overlooked to say the least. They may be harsh, but then again, some games deserve it.

I have to say I'm pleased with NP's rating system these day, back during the 64 days...they were a little over hyped on some games. Game Informer is also pretty accurate...*cough* I'm selling subscriptions because I work at EB Games/Gamestop *cough*

Ugh, their top 20 and games of the year are always questionable. They gave Twilight Princess game of the year for Wii, when Gears of War CLEARLY secured that spot for a much longer time. Their monthly reviews though are pretty accurate though.
