"Well... if you're suuure?" He wouldn't force anyone to jump in, but it wasn't dangerous! Sure, there were things like anemones and stinging fish, but it wasn't any different than bees and snakes on dry land!
As long as you were careful, you were fine! Even if your mother didn't always think so. Kiju smiled to himself as he paddled over to where Juke was sitting.
"This is the best place to swim though, if you ever change you mind! It's always warm, and you can't get sucked out to sea or anything." Mama was always warning him about that. Waves pulled you out, and then you'd be in trouble! "And, even better, there aren't any stinging fish in this water hole! I checked."
The cub pulled himself up onto the rocks and trotted a little ways away before shaking himself off. Returning, he started to speak --
-- and something glittered. There was no other way to describe it! Interest caught, Kiju left off his conversation and trotted towards the source. His eyes widened as he took in the shells that gleamed at the bottom of one of the pools.
"Looklooklook!"

Amused by the youngster's excitement, Juke peered into the pool. The sparkling caught his eye quickly, reminding him of stars... stars over the savannah... He shook his head lightly to get rid of the memory. He was fond of the ocean, sure, but his birthplace still called to him from time to time. Perhaps a visit would be nice, yes a visit... he'd have to talk to Muujiza about it. His thoughts moved to the happy, green lioness. Where was she at that moment? Lying somewhere on the length of beach? Or maybe talking to one of the pride lions, as he was now. It was anyone's guess; she was such a free spirit, he didn't know if she could really stay settled in one place for very long.
Back to here, back to now. "I'll keep the swim thing in mind." He flashed a half smile, though he didn't really think he'd go swimming anytime soon. The most he did was walk into the waves, let them crash on him. Noting that the juve seemed to be thoroughly ingrossed in whatever was glittered, the adult found that it was time he got back to his Jiza. "That a shell? Nice one, if it is." He nodded to the glint in the water with a slight chuckle. "I need to get going, though. It was nice talking to you. Have fun growing up in paradise." With that, the blue male tipped his head to the youngster and trotted down the sand, many thoughts on his mind.
