More ranting. neutral
I had an RP that ran basically all of 2006 and was centered around Super Robot Wars. It was long and full of drama because half the players had severe problems. Now, before this, I had an RP based on Wing where we basically took the series plot and changed it by adding five more Gundams loyal to Dekim as well as increasing OZ's power. It slowly died because half the players who signed up never showed.
Now, as the SRW RP was dying down, a bunch of people expressed interest in me reviving the Wing RP. I got a lot of comments that were positive and a lot of people who really wanted to do the idea. So I set it up, and started it up again...and even LESS people actually bothered playing this time.
Now, I'm very frustrated because I put lots of effort into the idea, and everyone said "It's a good idea, go for it, I'm totally behind you", and yet that's not what happened. A couple of people think I'm overreacting. Any comments?

Most RPs tend to fail on Gaia. It takes a combination of a strong subject, good recruiting, charisma, and dumb luck for an RP to really come together for more than a short time and to do so reliably. Just keep at it, and make sure you inform anyone who you know that might be interested when you start a new one.
Once I finish SRW OG and the second one, I'll be happy to join any SRW RPs you may start.

Actually, this wasn't on Gaia. It was on an MB run by a guy I know and populated mostly by people I've known for a few years. That's part of what makes it so frustrating is that I've known these people for so long and their doing things like this really annoys me.

That's part of what makes it so frustrating is that I've known these people for so long and their doing things like this really annoys me. Smite them! Smite them all, I say! Lack of dedication in an RP pisses me off. On the other hand, I also hate it when all the other RPers are posting 20 times a day... I only have time for no more than a couple posts a day, and I generally don't post more than a couple times an hour unless its a good Saturday or Sunday. People need to take it easy...

At least you post, unlike 80% of the Xenosaga guild. its kinda irritating when people do that kind of stuff. you would figure that if they're going to go to all of the effort to join one of these guilds, then thy would participate in them.
