Adi'sa hadn't smiled much since arriving here, still burdened by the spirits of his sisters taken-too-soon. But he smiled now. He was on his way towards the river when he bumped into Tailsin, so he continued forth, walking beside the dark lioness.

"This way," he beckoned.

The clumps of forest on their travels positively buzzed with bugs, but for those like Adi'sa, the songs of spirits drifted on the air too. Occasionally, Adi'sa was seen to glare at a leaf or a bug or even thin air, shaking his head shortly afterwards. But the sound of water soon played on the air.

"I'm the only Earth clan I've met. Elder Tawa'di is of the Bird clan," he replied in a manner-of-fact way.

Tailsin kept her head low as she followed him letting her mind wander a little.

"I don't want to be in a clan on my own..." She had never liked being on her own and being the only one left of her clan? The thought frightened her.

"Do you like being on your own?" She was curious.

Now that was a good question. The loneliness Adi'sa had endured was during his trek through the new Ela'wadiyi lands in the hopes he'd find company, family, friends. But was he really alone? All the time, spirits had spoken to him, either in soothing tones or in mocking jibes. And as much as the experience had frightened him, to know that there was something else out there other than nothingness was a morbid kind of reassurance.

He hesitated a short while, just looking forward and waiting for that river to come into view.

"No. What clan are you from?"

"My mother was of the shadow clan and I believe my father was too that or he moved clans when he took my mother as his mate." She paused and looked at him again before looking at the ground. She didn't have much to add to that, it answered his question which was all she needed to do.

The river was in sight, and for a moment, Adi'sa lost himself and forgot his guest, rushing to the water's edge to splash his paws into the cool water. They may have been the colour of mud but they often burned like fire when he'd been walking a lot.

He glanced back over his shoulder.
"The river's here," he replied in a naive way, cute almost like a cub.

Adi'sa leaned down to partake of the water, sticking his whole muzzle in sometimes.

"Was the Shadow clan a big clan? My clan was not very big, there was enough of us."

Tailsin couldn't help but give out a chuckle as Adi ran towards the river, she waited a little untill he spoke and then ran after him, in a playful manner, jumping at him in hope of pushing him into the water. The way he had just spoke made her feel ever so playful.

"I can't remember much of my clan, I was young when I got lost." She laughed as she spoke, just because her playful nature had taken over.

Adi'sa lifted a sopping muzzle from the river only to be greeted by the quickly advancing form of Tailsin. He froze, barely taking a small step back in order to avoid her pounce but still he was startled by it all and his backside was dunked into the water.

He shot forward from the brisk coolness on his warm bum, and just pouted but never complained. He just wasn't a lion to fight back.

"Yeah, I can only really remember my family properly. But I remember all the faces and colours."

She laughed at his pout, "Not the playful type?" She chuckled a little and sat down on the dry ground. She wasn't going to be getting wet anytime soon that was for certain! Though she was amused at the thought of playing in the water, oh what a mess would be made.

"I don't want to be alone... the thought of being the only one of my clan frightens me." She lowered her head and let out a soft sigh. She wasn't a solitary creature.

"Well you'd never really be alone. There are the other lions in the pride, and you could always join a different clan," he replied, that little sparkle of enthusiasm sneaking into an otherwise flat voice.

Adi'sa skirted her first question completely. He was playful...or at leats he liked to think he was...but it had been a long time since he could play with anyone. Maybe he'd just forgotten what it was like to play?

"Join another clan?" Was that even possible? She didn't know, she knew most of the prides traditions but as she wandered off at such a young age it seemed near impossible that she would know everything and even so if there were only three lions here then the traditions wouldn't be able to be kept surely?

"We should play some time. Teach you how to have a good time." She chuckled a little. She had pondered the idea and didn't like to think that a lion wasn't playful so in some way or another she would make him playful!

"Yeah...I think you can. I mean, doesn't that happen when you find a mate sometimes? You hafta move to their clan if they are different?" he asked, now acting like the shy adolescent he was.

Tawa'di was teaching him well, but with the pride being built back up from the ground, things may have changed. He assumed, with Tailsin being older than he was, she might know more.

"Play...what? What games do you know?" he asked, almost reluctantly, as if he'd be laughed at for asking. It was certainly a sorry state of affairs if an adolescent didn't know ANY games. Which he didn't.

It was possible that she had been told about the mates moving clan but as things happen, she hadn't been around the pride for most of her life and the things she could remember she could only remember little bits of. It was rather annoying but she was sure over time things would come back and she would be able to remember something.

She didn't answer his questions, she just nodded at the first one pretending she could remember and if not, well they would find out at some point! To the second question she just smiled, it was a cheeky smile and she moved a little closer to the water. She lowered her head as if she were about to take a drink but instead moved her paw into the water and in a swift motion managed to 'throw' some water in Adi's direction. She laughed almost instantly. You didn't need to know games, you just made things up on the spot, like that.

The fact Tailsin didn't answer the questions didn't actually bother him, as he was now engrossed at this prospect of 'playtime.' He watched her expectantly, waiting for her to start explaining the rules of a game or something. His head even followed her right round as she ducked to the water-

SPLASH!

Adi'sa was hit in the face with water. His instinct was to yelp with the coolness as it hit his warm face, and then to hop and wiggle about to shake it off. When he opened his eyes to the sound of laughter, he looked at her, sort of dumbfounded. This...was a...game? But what was supposed to happen? Was he supposed to dodge her? Stand here and see how much water he could withstand? Or should he splash back?

For some reason, it finally clicked in his head that a game shouldn't take this much effort. The clue was in the name. So, he just did what his gut told him to.

With a big leap, he jumped and landed close to Tailsin, splashing her with a great amount of water. This was amazing!

Tailsin hadn't realised how much Adi didn't seem to understand playing but when he jumped and she got sopping wet she automatically pounced him. He may have been younger but he wasn't much smaller so she was able to jump him without too much trouble but enough so that they had an equal chance of winning a play fight if that is what it turned into. Tailsin was more in the mindset that jumping on him when she was dripping wet would make him wetter then her doing what he did!

So She tried to clamber on top of him hoping that maybe she could tug on an ear or something. He seemed to be a quick learner so she was sure that she would be able to pick up the aspect of playing rather quickly!

What? Had the game changed again? She took him by surprise, and he sort of flopped as she clambered all over him in an attempt to gnaw on his ear or something. He hit the stream-bed with a sploosh, but his back-end stayed standing.

"So, what is...this game...called?" he asked through gasps for breath.

Eventually, his back-legs gave way too and his bum landed with a sploosh too.
