Ukabe tilted his head, kept silent. That was unfortunate, he didn't want her to go away! He wanted her to stay. He made a soft whimper in his throat, soft enough so only he could hear it, he didn't want her to get upset because he got sad. "Alright then, we'll play when you're here, we can still be friends all the time though," he said nodding.
Yes, friends all the time they would be.

"It is a promise." Lejali told him, intending to keep it. "I will return as often as I can, I'm not too sure of how often that will be, but I will come looking for you." She meant every word she said and was determined to keep it. Some how she'd convince her mother to travel to the pridelands often, especially now that she had a friend.
"Maybe next time I come, you could introduce me to your family and if my mother is feeling better then you could meet her too."

Ukabe nodded and bounced in the air once and settled on his paws again, "Yes yes we can that'd be soo much fun," he said with a cheesy grin and a wag of his tail. His dual colored eyes settled on his new friend, he wouldn't forget her while she was gone, he'd wait for her to return, then they could have fun and play together.
Yes, teh future would be nice and bright and happy.
He had to go to his mommy about his new friend.

"It's a date then." Lejali told him with a smile when her eyes cast up to the sky. The smile faded when she realized that her mother would be waking soon and would throw a huge fit if she wasn't there. "I'm so sorry! I have to go, my mother will go beserk if I'm not back soon! I look forward to seeing and playing with you!" She turned and started to run off. Glancing back she called out "Until next time my dear friend!"
Then she was lost in the darkness.

Ukabe watched as she peered up at the sky, then had to go, his ears fell back and he sat back watching her run off. He blinked, his dual colored eyes watching her disappear, "Bye..." he'd miss her. But then again, he'd see her again.
He'd even have a date!..whatever that meant.
