'Gingey, darling?' Now that was different. For a Kalona, he didn't expect to hear anything like that. Of course though, she didn't appear to be a normal Kalona, so he merely let it pass, just taking it as some form of compliment, if anything at all.

"Ummm.. Not much, to be honest. From the one or two times I've come across them, I've not really like the experience. They seem so mean... And relentless. It doesn't make sense as to why either. Maybe it's just in their nature or something.. I don't know. However, if I may say, you are not like other Kalonas, no?"

Looking her up and down once more, that statement was way more than correct. Kalonas didn't act this sweet though unless they had something planned. So, if anything, Gingey needed to be careful, regardless of her being a normal Kalona or not.

"I mean.. Look at you. You're almost pure white. Your mane is so beautiful, and you have a tail made of hair, not made of skin, like most. Your wings, as deadly as they look, have a certain charm to them, probably due to the colors. You wear bracelets, a necklace, and have candy tied within both your mane and your tail. You also have some sort of happy symbol painted on your back, only making you look more cheerful. You do have the horns and fangs of a Kalona, but even though your eyes sport dark rings, the pink color of them is so intriguing and beautiful. A stallion could fall to his very knees for you, for your body speaks the language of being ultimately sweet and kind... Even though your heart may be ruthlessly evil and horrid. For that last part, I do know.. For I could fall to my knees for you."

Now he started to get off track.. Which he honestly didn't mean to... But it just seemed to flow out, now that he had already gotten started.

"You're such a beautiful mare.. Kalona or not. You look so sweet.. And delicious.. Like a giant candy that's been wrapped up and prepared just right. You may be evil.. You may be mean... You may just want me to shut up and much on my bones already... But whether you do or not... Whether I'm making a fool of myself or not... You are a very, very attractive mare.. And that's just the truth that flows from my mouth."

Oh boy... Had he done it now.

Her lips curled up into a chesire grin and she could almost purr with glee. Her routine was doing better than it ever had done before, and she was very very pleased with the results. Most stallions always had an eye for her wavy pink curls and her lollipop'd rump, her hot pink hooves and her sweet looking candy bits; rarely would one see danger in her pink striped horns, her sugary coated bat wings, or her razor-like fangs that occassionally revealed themselves from within her mouth. It was a pity they never took notice from the start, for it was usually those that ended their pathetic lives, and were the last things they'd be doomed to see.

Not only had this stallion seemingly put his trust in her appearance and words, he seemed more than wooed by her sweetness and pretty looks. In no time at all, she would snare him in to the final steps of her trap and feast on a scrumptious looking cookie dinner.

Which was good, because her stomach was rumbling terribly by this point, having had nothing to eat for quite a while, but she willed herself to continue on with her 'sweet' appearance and not get too cranky from being hungry.

"How... kind of you, Gingey," She finally said after watching his heart-felt confession. It was neither a thank you nor meant as an insult. Just a statement of fact. "It's not everyday that I meet such an... eager fellow, as yourself." Tossing her pink mane to one side, she gave off an exaggerated sigh, "But I am sooooo dreadfully thirsty after flying for so long. Just absolutely parched! By any chance, do you know of a nearby stream we could go to for a short sip?"

Seeing that all his words just seemed to flow right over her head, the stallion sighed slightly, his eyes falling to the ground indefinitely, not really knowing what else he could do to sway her to his side. More than likely, all she wanted to do was to just bite into his neck with those fangs of hers, ending his life for her own gain. Of course, right now, he didn't care if his life ended or not, so he decided to just go with the flow of things, the way they were meant to be.

"Yea.. I do. It's about a mile or so from here. Would you like me to take you there? It'll be no problem at all."

His eyes gazed back up at the mare, noticing how she had exaggerated her sigh. Still though, he kept it to himself, just doing her bidding, hoping to gain at least a little bit of affection from her before his life flashed before his very eyes.

Her ears flattened as she saw Gingey's happiness dissapear like a popped balloon. Was her plan so obvious? She didn't think she had reacted poorly to his answer; she just was never meant to fall in love. Demons only loved themselves, so naturally, wouldn't Gingey have figured that out of her, since she was a demon breed? Or perhaps his hopes had gotten too high and she had crashed them down with her simple responses. Either way, it deflated her cheerful mood as well, and her pink eyes narrowed in his direction. She didn't want to attack and kill something so willing to sacrifice its life, and it was obvious that Gingey didn't care anymore what was to become of him. It lost the point and fun of the game, and she hated her games being ruined.

"You act like I'm going to devour you in one snap, Gingey." She remarked curtly, nodding at him with her head, signaling him to lead the way to the water. "I don't take kindly to those who think so little of their own lives, so you have no worry of being eaten today. I can see it in your icing eyes that you're prepared to die, and frankly, that's no fun at all to me. Now, you can either show me the way to the water and have a decent conversation with me on the way there or you can scram. Just don't waste my damn time, got it?"

Her sour voice quickly turned back sweet, and she tilted her head with a smile, her pink locks of hair tumbling down the side of her face. "So what's it going to be, sweet stuff? You gonna tell me more about this land, or are you going to go sulk somewhere else?"

Smiling, but only a little bit, Gingey nodded and began to lead the way to the water source that she had inquired about. Maybe, just maybe, he could get her to change her mind about things after all, but that would take quite a bit of work to accomplish, no matter what he tried. So, for now, he would hide any feelings that he may of felt for this demonic mare, at any and all costs.

"So... What are we to talk about on our way there, sweet stuff?" Gingey asked, the smile only widening on his face.

Dia snorted, pleased with his turn of attitude.

She began to follow him as he walked onwards towards their destination, and her pink tail swished back and forth happily, the candy wrappers in her hair rustling more as they swished. She watched as his rump moved up and down as he walked, his own cropped icing tail moving along with his stride, and she giggled. Somehow, it just looked amusing to her. It wasn't everyday that a Soquili showed their backside to her.... kalonas had the reputation of killing anything and everything they wished to, so it took her by somewhat of a surprise that he would be so willing to expose his vulnerable side to her. But then again, he had just given her the impression that he was ready to be gobbled up by the likes of her beautiful self, so nothing should surprise her at this point.

"I don't know, Gingey. I'm new around here, after all." She said gaily, her pink eyes examining the environment surrounding them. "So I don't know what creatures like you do every day. You certainly don't seem to fear predators, that's for sure."

The large, brown-speckled shoulders merely shrugged, his head turning back for a second.

"Ehhh.. I do fear them. I'm just not as scared as others would be. Since I'm alone in life, I know that I have nothing to lose if something decided to gobble me up. As much as it would be painful to be eaten by something, or just killed in general, I won't let my fear get in the way of my own destiny. If I'm to be killed, then so be it. It doesn't really matter to me."

Turning his head back around, Gingey continued to walk onward, the stream of water slowly coming into view. Beginning to think to himself, Gingey was starting to realize that death didn't scare him all that much. Sure, it was a scary thing, for any creature, but like he had said to this demonic mare, he had nothing to lose. So, why should he worry?

"We're almost there. It's about a good mile away yet. Do you think you can wait a little while longer?"

"I don't think I'd have a choice, whether or not to wait," she snorted back, sarcastically. Her pink hooves followed closely behind his brown ones, and she wondered what was going on in that cookie brain of his. Did this gingerbread horse have a family of his own? Perhaps some foals?

Foals, in her experience, could be very delicious, if they were plump. Their skin and meat was very tender, but being so small, they usually failed to have enough meat to satisfy her hunger. Thinking to herself, she wondered if a horse that looked like a cookie had children that tasted as such. It was an amusing though, albeit an illogical one.

"Oh well," she thought to herself, her mind focusing back on the present, "it was fun to imagine..."

As he trotted ahead of her, his white tail swishing behind him, Gingey's mind roamed, his thoughts focusing on a mare he had met. This mare, a mother now, was pregnant, and was due to birth her foals any time now. The pregnancy had been a complete mistake, but it had happened, making him a father and her a mother. So, now that he thought about, he did have something to lose... A dear friend and foals of his own.

Shaking his head some, he tried not to think about all the negative things that could happen. There were just too many of them. As long as he kept his cool and stayed alive, he'd be alright. Plus, he still liked this Kalona mare that trotted behind him, and he was determined to show her that, one way or another.

With some thoughts entering his head, a smug grin came across his muzzle, his temper starting to come into play.

Dia quickly noticed the grin growing on the stallion's face as he thought to himself. What in the world was he up to?

"What's on your mind, cookie-boy?" she finally questioned, her curiousity getting the best of her. She usually didn't care to pry into others' business, but since she had made her acquaintances known with this stallion, felt she had a right to know if he was thinking something and not giving her the priviledge of knowing his thoughts. It would be quite rude, after all.

"Oh... It's nothing. Don't worry about."

Smiling, Gingey continued to trot along, the stream that Diabetia had asked for only a few feet away now. Surely she was still thirsty and now somewhat tired, in which case, Gingey had plans for her. He wasn't going to hurt her or anything, but he felt very mischievous, and since she wanted to know what was on his mind so bad, he would just have to show her.

"Well, here we are. The stream of water you asked for, correct?"

There was a twinkle in his icing eye, and Dia didn't like it. Not one bit at all.

"Yes..." she said, pausing, "Here it is."

Leaning down, her suspicious pink eyes never left Gingey as she bowed her head and drank from the small, cool stream. She watched the tan colored stallion, wondering what was going on in his head. She didn't like surprises, unless she caused them, so she was wary of what he had in mind. But then again, she could be overly paranoid, as she tended to be, and that twinkle could be a mere addition to the smile spread across his face.

She'd never understand stallions.
