i applaud and beg for more, plese, nyo...!
and yes, ax is right. the first time i read it, there were a few places that seemed a bit rushed, that part in particular. perhaps spend more time in character and setting description, too? ::has a weakness for doing this alo tin her own writing:: i was rather confused as to where this was taking place to begin with; it seems rather vague.
but the story is awesome so far! more, more...!!

Very compelling. I'm drawn, no doubt. Do post more when you have the time, Arc. I'm quite looking forward to it.

Chapter II
Present Day – Mars Class Imperial Battlecruiser Zendrake, Vezumus System, western edge of the Mordant Zone
***
“Commissar, please! The circumstances preventing my-”
“ENOUGH! Arbites, I'm through listening to his Tainted lies. Take him to the brig. He'll make a third winner for the upcoming jettison party.” “Sir!” The two servants of the Emperor's law responded to the Imperial Agent's decree. The acceptable loss then panicked and attempted to flee, but was blocked by the cyber-enhanced body of the physically smaller female officer. She quickly threw him headfirst into the wall of the corridor. Crumpling on the floor, he stopped moving.
The Commissar smiled, then turned around to stomp away from the scene. “Carry on,” he said simply. “Meet me at the bridge when you're through.”
The woman looked sternly and expectantly at the remaining officer. She outranked him, and there was no way she was going to carry the lump of flesh all the way to the brig.
The man then sighed, turned on the safety of his lasrifle, and hoisted the body over his shoulder.
“That's a good Proctor,” the woman started, leading him towards the holding cells. He snorted in return. “Don't be mad, Nico. You needed a work-out anyway.”
“Please, ma'am," Nico Fellemer started, annoyed and trying to concentrate. "He's heavier than he looks.”
“Nico, I told you. I'm not a Sister for Emperor's sake. Call me Romuel.” She adjusted the carapace on her forearms as they walked.
Nico grunted again.
***
Commissar Alexi Terianis entered the bridge swiftly, and made his way over to a particular communications officer. Her right eye was closed, and she was in deep conversation with someone on her headset. He waited quietly and listened, and stared at the bionic left socket which normally hid behind an eyepatch.
“...would explain why we haven't been able to hail it," the officer said. "And you're positive there's no escorts? I know you said there wasn't but we need to make sure. Wait, whoa whoa whoa, slow down Snow Girl. Take a breath. Okay, start again.”
Terianis raised a curious brow at the pause, beginning to feel the unwelcomed edge of concern in his mind.
She punched some keys. “Please duplicate and transfer the vidfeed along this channel, Snow Girl." Without opening her eye, she jammed a rather large adapter into her socket, a hose connecting her head to the console in front of her. There was another short pause, before a quick intake of breath. “Emperor have Mercy! Keep feeding, Snow Girl, the Captain needs to see this.”
“I'll get her, Axi.” the Commissar stated before turning away to go find his mark.
“Thanks Alexi. I'm getting a beep from the Astropath anyway.” The Commissar now wrestled with worry when the woman loudly echoed part of the new conversation.
“Warp Storm or something?! What do you mean or something?”
He found one of Captain Augiga's Cherub-servitors hovering on the other side of the bridge. The blank stare of the child-turned-tool watched the busy people, then focused on the Commissar when he neared. They were useful things, Terianis knew, but having winged children patrol around the ship was downright creepy. He respected Captain Augiga's efficient use of them, having a choir of them patrol around the Zendrake allowed her to keep an eye on everything, and allowed her to relax while still able to be quickly summoned.
Alexi reached his hand out to the Cherub, who took hold of it with his own smaller one. “Captain, this is Commissar Terianis. There's something you need to see.” The servitor blinked, and its eyes looked at him purposely as the Captain focused on this particular Mind Impluse Unit.
“Very well,” the kid said. “Lead me there.”

Ellie taps a riding crop against her thigh. And WHY isn't there more of this, hmmm? There needs to be more.
{Rommie as a cyborg. I think I just had an e-gasm.}

This was very interesting, I like it a lot. surprised There were more technical terms I'm not familiar with in the second chapter, but the context makes it easier to follow. I'll go browse through Wikipedia's article on W40k and familiarize myself a bit more with everything. ;3
Very good so far, keep it coming!

second chapter is good, though one minor issue i noticed. in the first paragraph of the second part (( after the asterisks )) the pronoun "she" could be accidently attributed to teri instead of icy (( it had me puzzled for a moment, since this is teri we're talking about -- not ally ::laughs:: )) . it's ntot that big a deal, though, and other than that, i think it's splendid! i look forward to the next chapter, nyo!

Well, I haven't come into this forum in awhile, so I'm glad to see there is some new material in here. It's interesting, though I don't understand if it's completely original or based off something. I'm clueless like that. sweatdrop Keep up teh good work.

It's based off of Warhammer 40,000, which is one of the largest sci-fi universes created.

Axioma My own knowledge of WH40k comes mainly from the Dawn of War game. And although close to the original story and universe, there are some differences.
