It has been hot (we are in the desert) and humid (lingering effect of the Tsunami inspired weather changes)... and the company slated to do our new roof started two weeks ago... we also had a power ottage that day, which has left one AC unit out of commission for almost two weeks now... then there was rain... which was enough of a worry without a roof, until the sheet rock in the master bed room ceiling started falling in the other morning sweatdrop which meant THAT room's AC had to be turned off for a few days hoping the extra heat would dry th room up faster rolleyes we will see. On thew plus side... the roofers finished this morning! YAY! now to tackle the mess in the master bedroom ....

Actually, no. I grew up in Southern California (about 20 minutes from the ocean) and only moved to Las Vegas 13 years ago this month. My reasons for moving to Las Vegas were mostly financial (there were not alot of job openings in California when I left, and housing was alot higher than it was here in Las Vegas) but quite a while ago, I realized that Las Vegas had become my new home and in fact, I rarely mention California unless asked... the governor they had before Ahhhnold made such a mess of the state in alot af way, it was nice to be somewhere with more potential for good, and not deep in debt and despair like my (former) fellow Californians... PLUS I still find myself wondering if California will ever end up doing what they claimed back in the 1960's it was going to do wink in which case I will be back at the beach! rofl

Oh, and not to mention, I was in California about a month ago on family business and could not believe the smog. I guess I have gotten spoiled by Nevada's clearer skies, cause back home it just looked sad crying
