"Eh?"
Rage heard someone crying out, and turned to see what it was. At least this person wasn't a giant blob of something, or yelling "varmint!"
He approached the man, asking what was wrong.

"Hey..." Owle said, noticing the man screaming and shouting. "..are you alright? What's wrong?"
Probably some other marble user tore through here.

"Aye, woe is me," the man said, head in arms. On closer inspection, he was wearing a rather Shaeksparian costume, with deep burgandies and muted greens. Oh, and puffy pantaloons.
Looking up at them, he said, "O my heart! My beating heart, that my own sun should appear to me! Juliet, where hast thou been?"
His eyes shifting to Rage, he spouted, "O vile poisons! Is it not Lord Capulet, he who condemn's my souls love? What brings you here thou villain, thoust lowliest of snakes!"

"Um, no," Owle said, holding out her arms in front of her and shaking her head. "I'm Rosalind. We broke up, remember?"

"Thou hast... dammit! Don't get me talkin' funny like you!"
What was WITH all these people?! "I don't want any trouble, bud. Unless you're gonna cause it. Then we can negotiate."
His left hand went down to his katana again. He really didn't like this whole "kill people in front of Owle" deal, but if they were going to start something, he had to be ready.
He just hoped he wasn't being paranoid.

"Juliet, why do you spurn me so?" The man, henceforth called Romeo, turned his back and sobbed into his hands. "Do you no longer love me? Didst our meeting on the balcony not cause your heart to race as it did unto mine?"
An almost instant change occured. "Vile cur!" he yelled at Rage. "If ye would give thine daughter's hand to mine, ye would not be such an... such an... such an a** hat!"

"Umm....um..."
Owle thought about this one for a moment, and, seeing Rage ready to run this guy through, she decided to do something drastic.
"ACTUALLY-"
She declared, stepping in front of Rage and taking hold of his right hand. "My father here has just given his consent this morning that we be wed. We rushed right over here to tell you the glorious news!
"Didn't we, Dad?"
And Owle lightly elbowed Rage.

Owle received the mental equivalent of a " scream " from Rage, but he went along with it anyways.
"Yes... dost... wed ye, to my daughter, O pantaloons man."
He had no idea what he was talking about, but he prayed Owle had the right idea.

"O joyous day! O blessed news! Hooray!" Romeo clutched Owle's hands in his, smiling brightly at her.
"Let us be wed at once!" Looking at Rage, he added, "Lord Capulet, where be the nearest chapel? We haven't time to spare!"

Owle began to think maybe this wasn't such a good idea, but she stuck by her ridiculous story...even if her smile was starting to twitch as he grabbed her hands.
"Um...well...see, we'll have to put the wedding off for a big, cause the chapel has, uh...burned down."
It was true. The Durem Cathedral HAD been lit up in flames, last she saw it. In fishing for an excuse, Owle had remembered the inferno from last night.
"And...well, there's the matter of my bride price, of course," Owle added, thinking on her feet. The marble had clearly driven this guy insane.
"Um, well, you see, as a show of good will, my father wants some token of your, um...good will."
"Sorry, Rage! But I don't want you to have to fight some innocent guy!"

"Surely doust thosth have that which is traded for my daughter's hand in marriage...eth." Trying to stay in the act was getting tough. But Owle seemed to have a good idea, so why not roll with it?

"Aye, me!" Romeo said, clutching Owle's hands more tightly than ever. "Than we shall be eloped! To the governor's office with us!"

"Wait, not so fast!" Owle protested. "Please, it will start a war between our two families if you do not first present your token of good will to my father!"
She hastily fished for more names from the play, anything to help persuade him.
"My cousin Tybalt - you know how hotheaded he is! Please, I could not bear if blood were shed over me...you must pay the bride price before we are wed!"

Not having much more to say, daddy Rage crossed his arms across his chest to see what Romeo boy would do. If they tried anything else shifty, they were about to get a stomach full of fist, and maybe a knee to the face, if Rage was feeling generous....
"Yes, thou must pay the bride price," he echoed after Owle.

"Yes, yes, of course, I shall have my servant deliver thine dowry immediately, but for mine very life, we must wed with haste!" His eyes closed, tears streamed down his face. "Every minute spent unwed to mine precious Juliet is another minute closer to the grave!"
