"AIS is a perfectly good name, thank you very much," he said as the smoke wafted in Aiolos' general direction.
"What's it's purpose, you ask?" A grin crept across Tadashi's face as he answered. "Surely you're here about a marble, yeah? Haven't you noticed something about the marble? A certain power, yeah?
"AIS is a way to tap into that power without, y'know, going batshit insane. Probably."

"Batshit eh? Yeah I really don't want that." Zen replied. He was already beginning to feel discomfort from the steel seats.

Anji has trodden over to one of the many steel seats and plopped down before tucking his legs under him and looking at the men talking curiously. He could smell them. Taste them. Feel them. Bullets, there were bullets on these people. And this man knew something about them. "Eyes...?" he asked curiously, his demeanor shifting over to one of an overenthused innocent in an instant.

"Right."
Clutching the cig between two fingers, he brought it to his lips and took a long drag. Letting a great cloud of smoke waft up from his mouth, he looked down at the seated Zen.
"So, you've got a marble, right? Mind if I see it?" Gesturing towards Aiolos, he said, "This guy'll vouche for me. I'm not interested in stealing them, just want to study 'em."

Tadashi's eyes shifted to the newcomer. "Yes, eyes," he said. "Little spheres, like marbles... eyes." He made a motion as though he were caressing the circle of a marble, then realized how he must have looked, and stopped.

Perfectly good name, said the leader of the Institute of Lost Marbles. Something regal sounding like Harvard or Columbia would've done just fine, but nooooo... We have to go with the one the crazy mage liked.
Aiolos wrinkled his nose to the smoke. He took his conductor's whistle hanging from his neck and blew in it, the air sliced the smoke like a bullet.
"Yeah... Study."

Anji blinked at this as he watched the man carress an imaginary marble, staring for a moment before smiling under his mask from a dawning comprehension. "Ah, bullet!! Bullet, bullet, bullet...." this last part was mumbled as he reached back and rumaged through his pouch before holding up a his bright red and white marble to the light, proclaiming "Bullet!!" as he showed it to the man before him...

"Hm." A puff of smoke from his nose, which transformed into numbers and letters as it floated past his eyes towards the ceiling.
"Attacker," he said in monotone, squinting at the object. "A tiny boost to your... offensive capabilities, I suppose is a good way of putting it."

"Yeah sure." Zen pulled the marble from his pocket, it was blueish white, he flicked it to Tadashi in a leisure manor.

Tadashi jerked his head back, his hand whipping up instinctively in a flash of ash and smoke. When he came to a halt, the marble was balancing on the tip of his cigarette.
"Heh, sorry 'bout that," he said, taking it in his left hand. "Now, let's see here...
"Yup, here we've got the inverse. Defender, gives you a tiny boost to your... opposite of offense would be defense, huh?"
Rubbing the ashes off the marble with his shirt, he tossed it back to Zen. "Like having a shield from the gods or something, I suppose."

"Huh." Aiolos said, watching the scientist examine it.
Looks like these things did something after all, other than put a gaping hole in your head.

Anji paused a moment before looking down at his marble intensely for several minutes. A boost to his offensive abilities, an increase in his attack. Kind of like his knives then, as they also boosted his offense. "Heh. Knife bullet." he said with a small grin, known only to himself. He couldn't help it, this bullet seemed to mesh with him for some strange reason....

Anji couldn't help but perk up at Tadashi's comment, staring at him for a moment. Right then, an internal battle was raging within him, wondering what would happen to him if he used the marble unsafely, he who was already insane. What would happen to a crazy person if they used it? Would they become even more crazy? or would they...
"I'm loony!!" came the excited response, the internal battle no where present on his exterior...
