Altaria snuggled against his warm fur. Even though her body ached, she felt a little better knowing he was still here. Her tiny nose brushed against his maw gently, tail flicking a little at his hand paw. Being with Amador...time seemed to stop. Even when they were cubs, she didn't notice it...but now it was all falling into place. No matter how much she told herself she liked Iro the best, Amador was always in her head...in her heart...he had her. And when he ran away...oh, she was so worried, she wanted to run after him. But he was a teenager, and she was still but a cub. Altaria would probably hurt more than help. The Black Tribal could do nothing but nuzzle closer to him glad that he was back safe...

In the cave the time of night was impossible to tell and as the moon began to set and the sun rise to take it's place in the sky Amador stirred not wanting to believe it was already morning. He did not wish to awaken, he did not wish to uncurl from around Altaria. He did not move even as he caught glimpses of the light from the sun against one of the cave walls. He stayed curled about Altaria, he stayed silent and still, faking sleep so he would not have to move. There was a sense of peace at being curled about Altaria, a peace he enjoyed more than anything. It was a peace he didn't wish to leave.

As all cubs are, they become curious as the daylight breaks. Little Altaria's violent eyes opened slowly, the light hitting them causing her to shut them tightly. After a moment, she opened them again growling gently. She continued to stay close to Amador burying her head back into his fur. Night just didn't seem to last long enough. Her body ached all over from the bruises, but the cuts seemed to have healed nicely. Her tail flicked a little, causing the feather to brush against the male's back feet.

Amador felt Altaria moving about next to him and a small smile etched itself on his lips. Feeling Altaria against him, just when she was nuzzling his paw or rubbing her head in his fur as she was now always made him smile no matter what. Just her affection always seemed to do that to him and he enjoyed it. When her tailfeather brushed against his back paws he couldn't help but chuckle. The feeling of her tailfeather on his paw tickled and the sensation made him just want to laugh.

Enough of the play, Altaria opened her eyes. The cub stretched giving out a loud yawn, her teeth bared. Relaxing a little, she flopped beside Amador again, her head resting on one of his giant paws. Her eyes were half-lidded yet she was in thought. Deep thought...what would the future hold for them? Would Iro mind? What of her sister, Cygni? What of her parents? All these thoughts ran through the cubs head...thoughts of an adult really. Altaria gave a little huff, her tail feather continuing to tickle his hind feet.

In all actuality had him and Altaria been in the stages their thoughts were in Amador would have been Altaria's size and Altaria his size. Amador's thoughts were no where adult but more of a cub. His thoughts were on the present and how ticklish he actually was. After a few minutes of the tickling feeling against his back feet Amador opened his eyes and lifted his head up and shifted so he could lay with his head up comfortably. As he moved into his new position he moved his feet away from Altaria's tail. For a lion he had very ticklish feet. Looking at Altaria beside him he smiled. He noted the expression on her face and even noted the hidden expression beneath the one she had. "What's on your mind?"

Snapping back to reality, she looked over to Amador. "Hmm? Oh nothing, Ama. I was just thinking, that's all." She smiled gently before getting up. Flicking her tail a little, she yawned. Only doing so made her tummy command food. She smiled sheepishly up at the teen. "I'm hungry..."

Amador allowed the question he asked to drop with her reply. At her comment on hunger he grinned and nodded. "Shall we go get food then?" He asked as he shifted so he was standing on his paws but crouched down so Altaria could climb onto his back.
