Vesh'meris (Asheris) & Luinehir (Laisewiel) A fine day in weather and for a relaxing outing, Luinehir found himself slithering a path beside a placid lake. Though he had left much of his daily belongings at home, he had a small belted pack with a few items that he never left home without. Settling beneath a tree, he watch the water lap the lake shore and the nature around him.
Not prone to outdoor walks of the late, Vesh'meris sought the solitude of Mother Nature to clear his mind and re-center himself. The lake with it's cold, clear, blue-green waters, fed by a river swollen by the recent melting of the mountain snow, was inviting to the pale Medusa who would have normally shirked them for warmer ones. Diving deep, his body slicing through the waves, reveling in the velvet caress of the lake waters.
Though he was on the opposite side of the lake, Luinehir's eyes did not fail to cature a shadowed form dive without abandon into the waters with liquid grace. It didn't take much to figure that the other was not some other humanoid or demihuman, but a Medusa like himself. Extensively curious, he settled back and continued to read his book, occassionally sneaking a glance at the swimming figure far off in the distance.
He lost track of how long and how far he swam. While he still had alot of energy left, Vesh'meris sought the nearest shore. As he emerged on the sandbank and brushed off as much water from his himself as he could, his eyes caught a silhouette beneath one of the trees. Not giving any indication of his knowing, he continued wiping the water off his skin for a moment more before removing his sash to wring and hang dry on a young branch of a sapling. After checking that the cloth would not fly off in a burst of a breeze, he began squeezing the water out of his hair while combing it with his fingers.
Throughly stunned, to the point that he dropped his book, to find that the swimmer had come to the shore in front of him, he could not help thinking that the stranger was like that of the Greek god Adonis! His eyes lingered over the form.
The skin so pale that it almost seemed to glow and contrasted so sharply with black scales that covered the lower half of the body. A face that appeared to be the work of a master sculpter, which looked blessed even without emotion. The lithe build had a fluidness that was unseen, almost like a dancer.

A package arrived on the door early in the morning. Upon opening, three smaller packages and a leaf of paper (with the gift giver's name on it) were within.
One for N'meivhil.  One for Avaruis.  One for Vëlsechor.

Thomas: yes they were a mistake... *sigh* but not mine. *glares at his master* Not like i knew the dragons were going to show up at the same damn time. *flicks the cap off a beer*
Muses to himself at the Medusa's comment, then chuckles. "Well, it can't be all bad. Look at all the people they've attracted in."
Thomas: you say that like its a good thing XP *he flicked his tounge out before taking a long drink* .... on the plus side, the fish won't be around long. =_= they are almost as demanding as Viktor.... *hisses*
He cannot help but laugh. "Well, I'm sure from Kipestshin's standpoint, a lively shop is a wonderful place to be. Besides, there's always that phrase: 'The more, the merrier.'"
Glancing over to the Mer-ladies in their containment pond (I'm assuming this. XP) and at Viktor, he blinked and didn't make the connection as they didn't seem to have anything in common. Then again, the Medusa had a tendency of not matching up to what they were known for...and he would know considering several instances.
Thomas: oh i'm sure she loves it XP pfft. I normally just let Viktor run this sort of stuff, so i think we are all going to have to help out. ... *sip* though i'm gonna break fingers off the first person that touches me XP
"So, how'd you get mixed up in all this then?" He took a seat on armchair, rather fond of the personality of this Medusa while at the same time cautious to avoid getting on his nerves, not being too fond of crushing grips and tail smacks.
Thomas just lifted his bottle an inch or two as a hello to Kalis. "HAHA how?," He leaned in closer to him, "see... to stay her, you have to work. Viktor... Mistume... and I all work. I'm too 'damaged' to sell. Plus, i didn't want some filthy human touching me again, so i chose to stay." He killed his drink and set it down heavy. "That answer it for ya?" He flicked his tounge.
kaliskanny: *hands Thom a knitted scarf* You know who finished it...but she's asleep.
Thomas' face got a little pinker, but he brushed it off. "... thanks." *he took it and put it on*.... ninja heart
Simply smiled while shrugging in a fashion with his palms up, he replied, "Hey, no complaints from me. Besides I've my own slave driver of a Medusae at home."
'mused at the reaction the scarf elicited, he remained silent.
kaliskanny: Want me to wake her?
Thomas: *played with the end of the scarf and thought about it* ... i'm kinda tired.... maybe i'll just go thank her myself... *he paused* you are a pet... human? o_o *he was going to have to give mad props to your master* ... they couldn't get something a little... cuter? XP
kaliskanny: Well, she's in her usual place...*pointed to the igloo*
"Erm, he doesn't call me a pet though," he murmured. "He has me running on my heels to say the least."
Blinking, he chuckled recalling the last time he brought home a fluffy bunny, "Cute? Oh boy, he doesn't care for cute."
Thomas: *snagged another beer and desided to talk a little longer before visiting Dym* Thanks. Thinks that tend to be 'cute' also tend to be 'edib'e. *he gave a pretty mean grin. Have to meet thisssssss snake of yours. *sip*
Running a hand through his hair, he laughed nervously, "Yes, good thing I'm not cute.. Otherwise, I'd be dead or worse by now."
"As for meeting, him." He glanced to the door and all the window about, "Don't worry, he'll be bounding in here once he figures I'm gone. That one has an strong sense for tracking, scared the hell out of me when I first stumbled into him. No matter what I do, I can't avoid him." sweatdrop
Thomas: *killed his beer* heh, good at tracking eh? Wish i could clame to have that good of a sence of direction. ...Maybe you just smell or taste funny. *he licked the rim of his drink*
"Ha ha," he couldn't help finding this Medusa endearing in a crass-sort of way. Shifting in his seat to a more comfortable position, he replied, "But, no, I'm rather clean. Believe me, if I didn't, I wouldn't hear the end of it from Vesh'meris."
Thomas: the only thing worse then a regular biped is a stinky one. 'least he keeps you clean. Vesh'meris you say? That is quite the name he has~
He shook his head, a slight smile on his lips, "I say a smelly anything is worse no matter how you look at it. As for Vesh'mere (like cashmere! nickname. lol), I'm sure he'd agree as well."
Mutters something about wondering whether all Medusas have some strain of vanity streak in them.
