I'm already saving up for this con. I decided not to attend Megacon this year so I have extra money from when I saved up for that and I'm adding it to my Jacon fund. I'm hoping to get my 4 best friends together and we'll all have fun there. Can someone tell me, how is it different from AFO? AFO7 was the only convention I ever attended and I had hardly any fun. I heard that Jacon is much better but can someone tell me how?

Gummi Sharks! I'm already saving up for this con. I decided not to attend Megacon this year so I have extra money from when I saved up for that and I'm adding it to my Jacon fund. I heard that Jacon is much better but can someone tell me how? I've never been to AFO, but I went to Jacon as my first con last year. I've still got last year's con info lying around here somewhere. I'll be using it to mention the following. The Oceans Ballroom was the dealers room. Manga, anime, models, weapons, plushies, figurines and just about anything else that would catch the eye of an anime fan. Crowded like nobody's business, one must be quick to manuever through the crowds that gather for purchases and poorly lit photo ops. Tables with free water were spread around the room. The Coral Room, Caribbean Room, and Mediterranean Rooms acted as Workshop Room, Art Show Gallery and Registration Rooms respectively. The Workshop Room functioned for the various....well, for lack of a better term, workshops they held, such as plushie and mask creation. The Art Gallery had amatuer artwork for sale of anime and original creations. Apparently, they'll take anything, because I remember a photo of somebody eating a strawberry on the wall. Registration was held in Mediterranean A and B, but room C was for the Wasabi Anime showings. I don't really know anything about this "Wasabi" that was mentioned. That's all for the main building. The courtyard was the best place to be to get premium photographs of anybody in costume. The brightly lit sky was your best friend compared to the comparatively dimly lit hotel interior. This is also where the Gaians of Florida met up, out by the fountain. The bottom floor of the tower hosted the various gaming facilities. Florida Bay 1 hosted the Card Tables for TCGs and the Biscayne Bay room held the gaming consoles for the videogame tournaments. The second floor is where the anime showings were held, in Tampa Bays 1-4. And of course, these were all accessible if you had your little wristband or badge. If anybody cares for the specific convention papers, I still have last year's schedule and convention guide handy (They've been collecting dust under a buncha other stuff, but still usable).

Vickicat Mercenary Siori I'll be there. I'm going with my school club and my parents think it's an "educational trip" let them believe that Educational trip? lol Anime could be a very educational if someone knows how to get the right stuff. But, most otakus are bent on simply watching, reading, and gathering memorabilia of their favorite anime than actually perform some sort of work to obtain information. Anyhoo, I'll do for Jacon what I did got MegaCon - Show up for Saturday. I'm hoping to go as Tai, Takuya, or Takato from the Digimon series. Anyone wanna be my Sora, Rika, or Zoe? lol

I want to go to Jacon. Megacon was my first con and it wore my Mom out. The best chance I have for going, is asking my Dad if he wants to visit me and go, or go with a friend.
