"Nah. Stores are close and .. " he grinned back at Kaleb. "I figured ya could just portal it into the office. That way we don't have to explain anythin." He knew he'd find a good use for Kaleb's powers, beside healing, one day.

Kaleb just grinned, moving around a couch would be no problem. "I-I can portal it, I'd rather do that than trying to stick it in the elevator." For him it was more a matter of convenience than having to explain anything to Rufus, but he had other concerns along the same lines. "I-I don't know if it would be good for anyone to see me portal it though..."

Kaleb looked doubtful, but he didn't protest. It was more of a personal preference, he didn't like to draw attention to himself using float spells and the advanced portal magic.

About a block away form the Shinra building there was a nice second-hand furniture store that always had nice things in it. He'd picked up a few tables there for pretty cheap.
He opened the door and slunk in before waiting on Kaleb. "Couches are usually in the back"

Kaleb nodded and slipped in after him, heading towards the back where he could see some shelves with small appliances from over the racks of clothing. The place smelled old and dry, but it was kept clean and dust free. He smiled as they approached the area where the large furniture sat, hoping they would find something suitable for the office.

There were a few couches of various colors strewn about with the rest of the large pieces of furniture. "I think you should sit on'em to see if they're comfy"

"You should sit on them too, it's for your office," Kaleb said, wandering over to a couch with a pleasing, neutral colour. He sat down and fidgeted a bit, but that one seemed a little worn in all the wrong places.

He flopped down on a gray one and scrunched his nose. Too many springs and not enough fluff. Getting up he poked at a blue one but decided that the design on the fabric was slippery and wouldn't be fun to sit on. "Yea but i'm not gonna be the one using it, you are"

Kaleb found a light gray couch and sat down, wiggling around a bit and smiling. "But you might use it too, there would be enough room for both of us," he said, bouncing a bit on the cushions. "You should try this one," he chirped, leaning against one arm of the couch and finding it suitably comfortable.

Kaleb grinned and shifted over one spot so he sat closer to Riley, and right in the middle of the couch. It was comfortable there too. "Pillows would be nice, but it's still pretty comfortable. Are we going to get this one?"

"We can ..." He picked up the price tag. "It's only a bit over a hundred." That wasn't bad for a couch and it wouldn't clash with the office too much.

It cost a bit more than the couch Kaleb had at home, but he wasn't too concerned now that he had a larger financial budget to work with. "I can pay for it," he said, reaching over to look at the price tag himself. After all, he would be the one using it most.
