Inside Aurora screamed at the intruder possessing her body, and wept. She didn't want to ruin another relationship.
Outside, the posseser just smiled. "Lets just say she got upset when you left, and well...she needed a break. She didn't want to be hurt again. We didn't want to be hurt again, so the sweet girl you knew is still in here, but she can't come out to play right now, sweetie" She said, stepping closer to nuzzle him, mockingly.

SnowChaser stepped away, avoiding her muzzle, "I told her I'd be back. I swore to her that I'd never hurt her." his voice became stronger, "Now give her back. I didn't fall in love with you. I fell in love with her."

The strength of this statement shocked both of them.
It gave Aurora hope, maybe things would be okay. She cleared her mind and thought. What happened the last time this thing took over? Her mind was racing. What WAS it? She had to remember.
The other voice laughed at her. "Silly children. Maybe this is best for everyone."
No! She screamed inside. No! I love him! Now, think damnit! Well, the one time I totally blacked out....but the other...the grass...FOOD! I'm too weak. She cursed at herself for letting it happen. I was so worried about waiting for him, I forgot to eat.
She used all of her might to force her head downward. On the outside it looked very strange. She was fighting herself. Wanting to bend toward the grass and fighting herself at the same time. The same fight was apparent when she tried to open her jaw. Finally though she managed to rip a mouthful of grass and chew.
The voice laughed at her. It won't work...I'm stronger this time. Food can't save you. You were careless. Each time, I get stronger.
She forced another bite, but when she went for a third her head was raising. She tried to force another, but wasn't strong enough
"No!" She cried, and much to the others dismay it was vocalized.

Chase stood there watching. He knew she was fighting and he wished there was something he could do, "Fight it Aurora! Fight." he said to her. He nuzzled her cheek, hoping it would give her strenght.

She tried with all her strength, but couldn't manage to do anymore. Her knees buckled and she fell to the ground, the world swam around her and she laid head down on her legs and closed her eyes.
"I'm sorry..." She whispered, to no one in particular. Her world went black and all she could here was blood rushing in her ears. She was so tired.

Chase laid next to her and nuzzled her. He covered one of his wings over her. "Please come back to me." he whispered, "I can't and I won't go one without you. I'll wait forever for you. Please come back."

Aurora lay there, breathing shallowly for quite some time. She twitched from time to time, bad dream leading to bad dream. She was being chased, getting further and further from SnowChaser, from her home, from her family that she hadn't seen since she made them upset. Then the dream changed, she was with her family everything was perfect and then they were all teasing her, calling her mean names and telling her to leave. Then SnowChaser was with her, laying next to her and everything was perfect...and then he was gone.
She woke with a start, calling out for him. Her heart racing, tears in her eyes. She looked around frantic, not seeing him at first.

SnowChaser lifted his head from the ground to look at her. He placed one of his wings over her, hushing her to relax. He nuzzled her warmly, "Shhh. Its ok, I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere." he smiled and ruffled his feathers to tickle her abit. He scooted right behind her and nuzzled her cheek, showing her effection, she obiviously needed it. His ears twitched as they lay togeather. He refuse to leave her. He would die before he left her.

Aurora calmed and blinked her eyes to clear them. She looked at SnowChaser and began to cry. She was so happy to see him. She seemed to be rid of the other voice, wheter it was for good she didn't know...but for now it would be alright.
She smiled with tears still running down her face and nuzzled him. "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to... that's why everyone else doesn't like me. I get weird sometimes." She lowered her head, hoping she would not drive him away too. "I don't know why it happens, it just does. Sometimes when I get too hungry. That time it seemed like it was because I doubted if you'd come back. I'm sorry..." She trailed off, nuzzling him again reassuring herself he was really there.

Chase smiled, "Hush now. None off these distasteful words. No need to be sorry, I'd never leave you. So there is no need to worry about that, sweets." he smiled and nuzzled her again, keeping his wing over her.

"Promise?" She asked meekly. "Maybe we should try to find someplace closer to the others...incase something happens again, that way I wouldn't be alone. It's probably not a good idea, but I don't want to hurt them either...I don't think they like me much. But not now...now I'm still sleepy and..." Her stomach grumbled loudly in the middle of her sentence. She laughed a little "Yeah, and that... I need some food."
