Od laughed happily as things just got better and better. It seemed like the next second was better than the last. He held on tight to her and nuzzled her after their ascent. He was happy there, it was exciting and a brand new experience for him. He could feel the wind rush past him as he clung to her tighter.
"Mryin...."
he purred softly as he looked around he could see things under them. Trees and grasses, even some herds that his family hunted when they were hungry. His heart pounded with excite that there was more that this Goddess would show him. He smiled and purred more.
Now, it was time to disobey her now. He let go of her head and moved carefully down her back to where her shoulder began. Her wings would flap for a moment and then she would soar, that was his chance. He quickly climbed down on of her legs and clung onto it with all her might.

Rage didn't smile, she just closed her eyes, let her wings and the wind carry them both. She remembered some happy times here, lighter times, playing with her older sister, chewing on her older brothers tail. All fun, but it faded so quickly, she never had a childhood really, at least she could offer Od something not many ever experienced in their lifetime.
Then she felt him move, she tried to steady herself, look behind her to see what he was doing. "Od don't, I said to not move..." She felt him slid down her back, then off of her back onto her leg, the weight shifted, sending her to lean to the side he was on. She tried to pull herself back to the other side, but it wasn't working. Her wings flapped and she hovered, but the weight on her leg made her hip ache and she gritted her teeth.
"Od..get back..up please.." she closed her eyes, winced and they started to fall. She flapped her wings to no avail. This wasn't happening..this couldn't be happening...not now, please, not now.
As they continued to fall, memories flooded her mind, her father falling, mother trying to protect, brother gasping for air, sister standing to protect her, then they were gone as she screamed and cried. Rage tried to pull herself up but couldn't, tears ran from her eyes and turned red as they touched the symbol on her cheek. Her silver hues opened as she grabbed Od and pulled him against her chest and she leaned back. She couldn't get strength back into her wing, she held onto him tightly.
"Don't hurt him...don't do this to me again..." as they fell faster and faster. Od probably thought this was a game, she braced herself for the ground, she wasn't sure where they were anymore in the lands.
Then her back hit the ground and she gasped for a breath, clutching Od to her, trying t shield him and not let him get hurt. Her back ached, and she peered up towards the sun, and closed her eyes again. Everything ached, she just prayed Od was alright.

Od winced and remained silent and still under Rage's grasp. What was happening? He just wanted to ride in her paws, but no....something had gone terribly wrong this time. He cried out during the impact expecting to be hurt somehow. However, he wasn't, he was protected by Rage. She took the hit. He raised his head and squeezed his tiny body from her paws and came to her muzzle. He licked at her chin over and over apologetically.
"I'm sorry, Rage! I'm sorry! Mryu! Mryu!"
He shouted, he didn't care if she heard him or not. What had he just done? He had hurt her and he was just wanting to have some fun. What have he done? He nuzzled her, licked her, and purred for her. He could feel himself hurt too, but it was not physical.
Tears streamed down his cheeks as he sniffled.
"Rage!"

She was caught in black, nothing here, but something was. Rage looked up, seeing eyes glare back at her, she tried to raise herself, but felt chains on her legs. She growled and pulled on them, to no avail.
"You can't get out...you never will like this...you've hurt him, can't you hear him hmm? Brilliant Rage, you hurt someone you cared about, but in a different way, and a child no less, pity, now he cries." She knew the voice and sighed, heard Od too. She pulled seeing the eyes come closer, felt a paw on her throat,
Then she snapped out of it...
She coughed and turned herself over, her chin was wet now. Her wings were flopped on the ground, she felt her white aura trying to heal herself already. She opened her silver eyes to see Od crying, and her eyes began to tear up as well...she did, she had hurt him...
"I'm sorry Od I just..." she laid herself on the ground and put paws over her head. Why was this happening to her? "I didn't want you to get hurt..."

Od's tears just stopped when she spoke, she was alright! She was alright! The cub threw himself over her muzzle and nuzzled her softly.
"Myrage...."
he purred sorrowfully to apologize. If it weren't for his disobediance, this would not have happened. Sure it as a bold move and he was just seeking some more excitement....but this...it never crossed his mind. He sniffled and curled up against her. What could he do to apologize, he can't do anything for her. It was his fault. All his fault. He wanted to fly, he disobeyed, he got her hurt. He was perfectly fine, she had protected him with her body.
"Myorry, Mrage...."

"It's alright..." she said softly, in a soft soothing tone. She didn't want him to cry anymore, she just wanted him to be safe. Too many tears, they hurt her, either from her own eyes of if she caused pain on another, too many, she just wanted them to stop.
"It's alright..." she curled around his tiny form, and draped a wing over him, her back still ached, it would for a while, she wondered if she would be able to fly later, probably not, she'd e stuck to padding along to find her next place to rest at. Someday, someday she wouldn't have to wander anymore.
"Don't worry Od...I'll be alright..." "The furball has something to him doesn't he eh?" the darker side of her spoke in her mind. Rage agreed, something to this child, different from anyone else. "Are you alright Od?" she asked, looking over his form. She hoped he was alright, and that the fall didn't hurt him.

He nodded softly and just curled up as her being his shelter. Her wing over him, her body as the walls, it was his own little den if he imagined it correctly, he felt safe again but it still pained him that he hurt her. His tears slowed down as she had told him that she was alright, a wave of relief washed over him. He was glad. He purred a bit to encourage a good mood again, it would make things feel better to say the least.
"Myrage....Mray Myere.... Myree."
He purred looking up beyond her feathers and up at the tree. He was trying to say something but it just didn't come out, he hoped that she understood him. He wanted her to stay....he wanted her to be around to play with, someone to 'talk' to, someone to spend the day with. The family got dull and well....they had their own things. Rage here....she was different. She could do things and she can protect him. What downside was there? With a bit of a sigh, Od curled up again, curling into a little ball under the Goddess of Rage's wing.
"Myru....."

Rage rested her head on her paws, keeping her wing draped over him, she closed her eyes, feeling the tugging at her mind, her darker presence, it was sneering at her, glaring with cold eyes. She tried to make the images disappear, but they wouldn't. She tried to decipher what Od spoke, but she couldn't think straight, she wondered if she hit her head at all.
"Aww look, he wants to to stay, how sweet, going to stay and sentence him to his death over time hmm?" She tried to reason with herself, perhaps it wouldn't be like that. But how could she stay? She was a goddess, she couldn't create an allusion, what if something caught up with her, someone? It might put him in danger.
"I don't think I can Od...you see, I'm not like you...I don't want to risk your well being because of me..." she turned her head to look at him, so sweet adn small he was. It made her ache for a family, but she doubted she would ever have one again. They'd probably be torn from her as well. "You're too young to know just yet but..." she tried to find a compromise, she didn't want Od to be hurt and cry again, "I can come back...if you want..."

Od frowned and pawed at her wings. He wanted her to stay around so he could come visit and play with her some more. As far as he knew, he was safe around her. She showed him no harm and yet she was still here after that ordeal. He looked down, got up and moved further down from where her eyes could not see his green body. A soft whine-purr came from inside of the 'shelter' and it got a little louder over time.
"Od want Rage here..." he mumbled, almost inaudiablely. He didn't want her to go, at least not too far. He wanted to be able to find her easily rather having to just run into her or go out and looking for her when she is so far away from the den. His family may get worried. His parents would get mad. He didn't want to wander too far from his safe-spots and that was here in the Pride Lands.
"Myray! Myray!"
He shouted over and over again, wanting her to stay around more and more. But if she left....then he would have to go out looking for her if he wanted to find her again.

Rage wasn't sure how to explain to him that she couldn't. An exposed goddess in a pride unable to hide herself by an allusion would be a great risk for the entire pride. If trouble came looking for her, she couldn't help but think that if anything bad happened, it would be upon her shoulders no matter what would happen.
She noticed Od's move, she wondered if he was trying to hide from her, hide from her eyes. Could she stay? No. No she couldn't, without the ability of an allusion, she wouldn't be able to stay anywhere.
Besides, what queen or king would allow a goddess, goddess of rage no less to stay within their borders?
Silver hues looked up to the sky, awaiting an answer, something, a sign from her family, something to tell her what to do. Nothing came, she sighed and cursed herself inwardly, the darker half of her chuckling within her own mind. Your going soft... perhaps she was, but something was pulling her ehre.
Perhaps she might have a home someday...maybe.
"I can't Od, not right now I really can't...but I can come back often...I swear I will..."

He whined again and curled against her.
"Myru...."
He whimpered. He didn't want her to leave, he wanted her to stay and play. That was what every cub wanted. Someone to play with. Sure he had his siblings, but....he sighed and nuzzled against her.
"Myru....Myrage...."
Od murred again. He knew that she would have to leave but he will still go out and find her. She was too much fun to ignore to begin with and well....he just didn't want to see her go.
"Myrage Myriend."

It was getting late now, she had probably stolen Od for too much time away from his family. She couldn't help but think he looked a bit like Siltim, perhaps they would meet someday, that would surely be interesting, Od to meet Siltim, and all three in one place. Would be so strange and odd, but so...interesting.
She lifted her wing to peer at the green mass of fur next to her. Who woud've ever thought that the beast inside of her wouldn't dare harm this child. Strange, quite strange. "I'm sorry Od, I really am..." when he said she was his friend, she smiled faintly, tried to smile fully but still couldn't. "Yes, you're my friend too..."
Rage stood up and curled her wings upon her back. She'd have to walk from here, no flying today. Od seemed so small to everything else, but over time that would change. "I'll come back for you, but you have to promise to be safe...ok?"

Ryu'Rage's ears folded back as Od ran off, just nodding to her and disappearing within the green grass blades. Her wing drooped a bit...she didn't even get to say good-bye. "Serves you right...for trying to get close to someone again...I will no tolerate and neither will you, tolerate another loss, if it happens again, your time to reign over this form will cease...do you understand? Rage tried to push the voice from her mind, but it kept ringing in her ears. She turned from the pridelands and began walking back the way she had come, limping slightly.
She felt more pain now then she had right after the fall.
