Initial Appointment...or We're Now A Pair of Drunk Tiefling MommasPrompt from Mule Initial Appointment Caitlyn and Mistalina visited the clinic. Mistalina was impregnated via the use of a life spell. The spell combined their DNA to form the child(ren), and everything went smoothly. Mistalina and Caitlyn made there way down the street toward the clinic, staggering and giggling endlessly as they went. They had just met at a bar, got to discussing life, friendship, futures and the like. Caitlyn brought up the subject of children, Mistalina then jokingly suggested they have some of their own. It seemed like a good idea to Caitlyn, who mentioned a clinic where they might be able to have this done. Now, there was only the small matter of which one would get pregnant. A coin toss would settle this! They tossed a gold piece into the air, only to result in swearing and pitiful whimpering from the black haired Tiefling. Now to the present…two drunken Tieflings in a maternity clinic, that could certainly spell trouble for them both. The young man at the desk had looked at them oddly, got them to fill out the necessary paperwork and assured them that it wouldn’t be long, as someone that day had cancelled their appointment. It would be a surprise if it didn’t take the young man at the reception desk a while to read through their forms, as the writing was barely legible in spots and he would be lucky if it was all in the same language. In any case, the appointment progressed as it should even the doctor who gave Mistalina a checkup before the spell itself was performed never noticed a thing. Another doctor and a life spell later, Mistalina and Caitlyn were responsible for two more lives than they realized; for two new lives had begun to grow inside the black haired tiefling's womb, which she had long figured to be barren. Though, time would pass before either would realise what had transpired that night and the consequences.

Finding Out & Telling Caitlyn The little lines on the strip...
Having been absolutely ill on and off the past few weeks and she'd been through her usual routines of dealing with her own sickness. This tiefling hated doctors with a passion, for a good reason. A fair few had prodded her quite a bit, because of her odd traits. So, for further help she looked to some old medical books she found in the library of the house she lived in; she had acquired it from an estate sale and still hadn't had time to look through every place just yet.
Thumbing through it for things that related to her syptoms Mistalina frowned. "Stomach Flu....no....already ruled that out." She flipped a few more pages. "Pregnancy?" She murmured, then shook her head, no, couldn't be. She had always known she was pretty well sterile, due to her bloodline, plus she hadn't been with anyone in...years. Slamming the book in annoyance she sighed. Nothing, absolutely no help.
A few more days passed and her conditions didn't improve. She still felt ill and at times could barely keep food down, so she decided to try something. She went into town and to the drugstore to purchase a home pregnancy test, better than nothing, plus it would soothe her mind to know that she wasn't pregnant.
She nearly screamed when she saw the tab on the stick change color.
Mistalina sat down on the edge of the tub and tried to steady herself. She was...pregnant. Suddenly her vision blurred and she felt herself falling.
When she woke again, she was in her bed, a concerned red head leaned over her. Another tiefling, a fiery redhead, and new friend. "Good your awake...."
"Caitlyn...." She tried to sit up, but her muscles wouldn't allow it.
"I found you passed out in the bathroom."
"Oh..." Mistalina vaguely recalled what happened.
"Yeah, I kinda freaked out." Caitlyn helped her carefully to sit up.
"I have to tell you something." Mistalina looked toward the other tiefling.
"Mmhm?" She shifted in her chair.
"I'm pregnant Caitlyn...and I think it happened...the night we met. I'm pretty sure the child is yours." Mistalina watched for an emotion to register on the red head's face.
But none did. "Mine? Don't be silly...two women of our blood...conceiving a.....oh dear."
"What?"
"Do you remember where we went after the bar...that night?" Caitlyn seemed worried.
"No, outside of drinking, talking about our lives...and something about a coin toss, I remember jack all." Mistalina frowned. "When I woke up the morning after that all, I was passed out face down on my pillow."
"We went to some...other place in town...I think it might have been a clinic."

Arguements, Decisions & TruthsA Decision To Split Up the Twins...Caitlyn Hellstorm Caitlyn stares at the house she is sharing with Mistalina with insolent stare. Her dark eyes travels from the front door to window that leads to the nursery on second floor. She is not sure how she got mixed up in this with Mistalina. One day they found themselves chatting and becoming friends then BOOM, Mistalina tells her that she is pregnant with her children. She is still reeling over this news and she is not sure how to react. Grumbling, the blood-haired female pushes the door open and walks into the living room. The last person she ever wanted to see is sitting there and she holds back a growl. She is not the one to get tied down with kids or a partner. "Hello Mistalina" She says in quiet voice. mistalina13 Mistalina sat slouched down on the couch staring at her stomach. She growled and mumbled softly. "If you turn out to be too much trouble, I won't be pleased." Her gaze narrowed when she heard someone elses footsteps come into the room. "Caitlyn..." Her tone wasn't the friendliest, to say the least she was annoyed about this. Her adopted son Shidiomi sat on the floor, with a coloring book and a box of crayons, coloring away, oblivious to most of the situation. His feline ears twitched when Caitlyn came in and he glanced over at her for a moment, then went back to his coloring. Caitlyn Hellstorm Looking surly, Caitlyn nods slightly at Mistalina. "Do you want anything from the kitchen?" She mutters as she walks toward the kitchen, ravenous since she have been away from the house almost all day. She made it her goal to flee from the house at the first sign of the sun rising and comes back home when the sun sets. Cursing silently to herself, she stops at the door that leads to the kitchen. Why did she had to go to the bar that night and meet mistalina? She mentally ranted to herself but she schools her face to be impassive as she turns around watching Mistalina, waiting for her answer. mistalina13 "No...I don't." Mistalina pulled her feet up onto the couch and shifted to lean on it's arm. She sighed, part of her wished she and Caitlyn would get along better. "Shidiomi, do you want anything?" The small boy's tail twitched and he turned, "No Momma..." He chewed his lower lip and sat up and peered around the couches edge at Caitlyn, "..Hi Momma Caitlyn..." He said timidly, knowing she was angry. Caitlyn Hellstorm The corner of her eye twitches as she looks at the boy, and she couldn't stop herself from feeling bad about being angry in front of a boy. Her body visibly relaxes but her face is still cooly collected. She nods slightly at Mistalina. "All right..." She curtly says as she disappears into the kitchen for little bit then she reappears with a tray consists of a pot of tea, cups and plate of cheese and crackers. She places it down on the table and plunks in the nearby seat. "How are you guys doing?" mistalina13 "As well as can be considered..." Mistalina chewed on her lower lip lightly, and tugged at the bottom of her shirt in an attempt to cover her stomach. She sighed and turned on the couch, so her back rested against the couch's arm and she got a better view of Caitlyn. At least she had good taste in partners when she was drunk, there was something to be said for that. While they talked Shidiomi closed his coloring book and crayon box, picked them up and set them on the table, before climbing up on the couch beside Mistalina. Caitlyn Hellstorm "Thats good to hear.." Caitlyn's eyes moves from Mistalina to her now new son. She doesnt think she will get used to hearing the word "Momma Caitlyn " or just plainly "Momma". Her eye twitches more as she tries to stay calm because she know for sure that the boy doesn't deserve to see this hot-headed tiefling fly off the handle and start ranting and raving. She mentally bites back on the comments. "I bought in some more money if you want to work more on the nursery..." She says in netural voice as she picks up cracker and cheese. mistalina13 "Sure...I stayed up late last night painting...so that is done at least." Mistalina let out a small yawn and drew Shidiomi onto her lap, she was grateful for the moment that he didn't want to go outside and play, he kept Caitlyn from letting loose and getting upset again. Shidiomi rested his head on Mistalina's shoulder and cuddled against her. He purred lightly, grateful for his new Momma, who despite her temper sometimes, took good care of him. Caitlyn Hellstorm Biting into the cracker and cheese, Caitlyn purposely kept her mouth stuffed with food so she wouldn't have to talk or at least b***h at Mistalina like she have been doing lately when the boy wasn't around. But lately she have calmed down considerably and she have better grip on her temper. Caitlyn just merely smiles strainedly at them before she clears her throat. "You shouldn't be staying up late to paint, Mistalina." She frowns disapprovingly at her. "You need to rest more." mistalina13 Mistalina groaned inwardly and stroked Shidiomi's hair. "Caitlyn, the children don't even look like children yet...." She wrinkled her nose. "I'll worry about rest when you can see that I'm pregnant. Besides, a few nights of lost sleep isn't going to hurt anything." Shidiomi wrapped his arms around Mistalina's neck and closed his eyes, he knew better than to talk right now, because that would be interupting. Caitlyn Hellstorm Caitlyn swiftly gave Mistalina a very sharp look as she visibly bites back on some comments. "Showing or not showing, every stage and steps in this pregnancy is very important. I might don't want any children right now but that won't stop me from caring and making sure that you and the children are all right." She says in now calm and cool voice. "Mistalina, just don't paint anymore. If you need something painted, just get me and I will do it." She says in almost impatient voice. mistalina13 "If you don't want children then why care, Caitlyn?" She asked her partner flatly. "...once they're born, perhaps this should end. You and I don't seem to get along in the least." She commented and rubbed Shidiomi's back absently. "And the last thing children need is a pair of parents who do nothing but scream at each other." She closed her eyes for a moment and sighed. Caitlyn Hellstorm Caitlyn's eyebrow arches as she looks at Mistalina when she spoke to her in flat tone. "I MIGHT not want any children right now but the studies proves that during the pregnant, the father or other mother do eventually get bonded with the kids. Unless you want me to leave right now, I will do so." She arches her eyebrow challengingly at Mistalina while she pours some of the tea in the cup. mistalina13 Studies? She growled quietly. "It would seem we need some sort of arrangement. I will at some point during this....time..." She avoided the toward pregnancy intentionally, it still made her uncomfortable. "...need your help, so you might as well stay for now at least." Caitlyn Hellstorm Caitlyn sips some of the tea and nods slightly. "Thats fine with me." She simply says as she drains the cup of the tea, placing it down on the table. "We will have to talk when the kid is not around. I do agree with you that the children including that boy doesn't need a set of parents that scream at each other all of the time" She quietly says. mistalina13 "So just stay until the br-children..." Mistalina winced mentally, she had almost called the unborn children 'brats'. "...are born, and then one is your responsibility and the other is mine." She kissed the top of Shidiomi's head, he was begining to doze off. "...is that agreeable?" Caitlyn Hellstorm Caitlyn smiles wryly as she shakes her head lightly. "That is fine with me, Mistalina. We will have to visit each other occassionally because I don't think its fair to the children that they won't get to know their other sibling or mother." She stretches her legs out and sighs. mistalina13 "Alright." Mistalina shifted Shidiomi slightly to better cradle him against herself, then got off the couch carefully. "I'm going to put him to bed, and I don't want to hear any complaints." She sighed and walked out of the room and up the stairs toward Shidiomi's bedroom.

Mistalina's Diary 27 January 2007
Needless to say, I feel like a bloated cow. I'm all swollen and sore, not to mention it looks like I swallowed a goddamn watermellon. None of my clothes fit, and I can't even wear my kimonos or gowns anymore. I had to go into town and buy maternity clothes, and I felt like everyone was staring at me, especially since I was alone. Stupid people, passing judgement.
My back hurts so much that I spend most days in bed, or on the couch now. My breasts have also swollen, along with the rest of me, and are quite painful. It's amazing how my much body changed with the pregnancy, seeing as how I'm supposed to be infertile.
My stomach is quite large now, probably just because I'm carrying twins. What I find odd is I haven't actually been pregnant that long; I thought pregnancies were supposed to last the better part of year, since Caitlyn and I are both elves. Perhaps I should go see a doctor at that clinic where I supposedly got knocked up.
I'm tired now, and I need to put Shidiomi to bed.

Mistalina's Diary04 February 2007I have no idea what I'm supposed to anymore. Perhaps I should go back to that...place. Maybe they can check to see if the twins are...alright. It's just a question of where would I have put the address. I alwaysloose things when I'm drunk and I'm lucky if I find them months later. Caitlyn is such a grouch lately, but I am thankful for her help in all of this. She helped me (meaning she did most of the work) of moving furniture into the nursery the other day. It's quite cute, only one crib though...since we made that decision a while back. Shidiomi is taking it quite well, despite the circumstances. It was funny, the other day I let him feel my stomach when one of the twins kicked. He thought it was so neat. Though, he keeps asking when the twins be born. Which I haven't the slightest clue, another reason to find that clinic. Part of me hopes it's soon though, because as nice as it is to know I'm bringing new life into the world. I want them out of me. I'm tired of all the aches and pains. Oh, I nearly forgot Shidiomi wanted me to help him with a project for school. Plus, I have to go cook something rather for dinner. Ciao. P.S. Stupid homones are making me giddy.

Caitlyn's Journal Feburary 5, 2007
.....what do I put in here? I have no damned idea what to say except I think I impregnanted my friend Mistalina. But I didn't intentionally do this, I swear! We met at the bar and hit it off greatly (I think its because we both are tieflings) but we got drunk.. we started talking about families and there were a clinic nearby. (series of angry scribbling here, too blurried to be readable)
So now I am a ... father? of two babies that is currently growing inside Mistalina's stomach. I will have to say that I am grateful that its NOT me that is pregnant because I don't think I would have handled it gracefully like other tiefling. I feel like a jerk.. I bitched and screamed at Mistalina when its not even entirely her fault that we are stuck in this espiode... but I can't apologize to her because... it will mean that she wins this one. I just....
can't.

Mistalina Meets Caffe...and then Caitlyn comes after her.mistalina13 It had taken her a good couple of hours to find the address to this place. Mistalina was suprised that she even find the paperwork from his place, seeing as when she was drunk she tended to easily loose things. She walked to the door and pushed it open walked in and let it close behind her. Nearly immediantly a hand went to her back. Even that length of a walk exhausted her now that she carried the extra weight of twins. Her other hand came to rest on her belly, as she felt one of the twins shift. They had been suprisingly active today. She smiled faintly for a moment then made her way to a chair in the waiting room and practically collapsed. And to think, these children had been an accident of drunkeness, with someone she barely knew. What puzzled her so, is how they were actually conceived, that part of her memory from that night had been extremely hazy. She leaned her head back and groaned then, nearly all of her ached. Her only reason for taking that long of a walk was to see if there was any way to find more about the twins she carried...and if they were alright. She rubbed her belly. "Be still now for Mommy...will you..." She murmured and glanced at her belly. "...she's already tired as it is." caffeinecraving Caffe was walking down the street looking in windows and smiled seeing another expectant mother. Caffeine walked into the door slowly. She smiled "Hello"she said to the women in front of her holding out a hand slightly."Im caffe and i was wondering if you could tell me just about were we are"she looked around not really taking in everything of were she was. "Im kinda new around here"it was the truth she had just moved into the town for her work and she was starting to regret it. She missed her ranch home and her 125 acers of land. She came back from her thoughts and smiled "Sorry im not quite all there with the baby and all" mistalina13 "I'm not too sure about this place either. I just found the address again." Mistalina frowned slightly, she didn't really want to explain the story of how she conceived the little brats children to a total stranger. "I'm Mistalina. I would get up to offer a better greeting, but I don't think I can just yet." She offered the girl her hand instead. caffeinecraving Caff smiled "Its nice to meet you"she looked at her softly "Need some help, a drink maybe?" she smiled pulling a water bottle out of her purse and offered it. "Its ok i dont mind shearing"she smiled "So just noticing when are you supposed to be due?"SHe frowned and quickly amended "Im expecting soon too" mistalina13 "No thanks, I'm alright." Instinctively hand returned to her swollen stomach again. "I honestly have no idea, that's why I'm here." Mistalina sighed and ran her fingers along her belly. "I hope it's soon, since I'm expecting twins..." Apparently anyway.. She thought to herself, after all, that's what it had said on the paperwork she'd found. caffeinecraving Caffe smiled "Im not sure how many yet im really shooting for one "she smiled and looked around i wonfer what this place is. she said walking to the back of the room and looked through an open door. She shrugged "I dont know"she smiled back mistalina13 Mistalina shifted in the chair, in a vain attempt to get comfortable as she watched Caffe walk around the room. Did she not know where she was? The tiefling thought to herself and shook her head. "One is a good place to start. These two weren't exactly on purpose, I didn't even know I could have children." caffeinecraving Caffe smiled looking back yeah well i didnt acctually think i could get pregnet after the fire but ..."sshe shrugged softly and smiled "This must e the clinic for this town" she smiled walking back over to sit down next to the other women mistalina13 "I mean...I just adopted a little boy too...I hope I can handle this." Mistalina chewed on her lower lip slightly, perhaps it was just her hormones getting to her again. She glanced at the girl. "I think it might be, oh, and I never caught your name." caffeinecraving she smiled "Sorry im caffeinebut you can call me caffe i prefer it"She smiled softly and sighed "Once my son or dughter is born im going back to my ranch and going to go riding my horses."she smiled and grunted as the baby moved."You should come it will be fun when you get your kids"she smiled softly looking out the window slightly Caitlyn Hellstorm Caitlyn's eyes narrows slightly as she finds herself standing in front of the dreaded clinic where everything in her life began to go wrong from the night of drinking with other fellow tiefling to "umm.. I am pregnant..." news from Mistalina. Her demonic tail twitches slightly as she frowns deeply when she could see Mistalina's head in the window. "Figures..." She mutters as she pushes the door open and walks in, seeing if Mistalina will acknowledge her or something. mistalina13 "Sounds nice, but no thanks. I prefer the city." Mistalina's headwings flexed and she glanced off to the side. He fingers tapped on the arm of chair, slightly suprised that Caitlyn hadn't come after her yet, the other tiefling had always thrown a fit lately when she went anywhere. caffeinecraving Caffe just nodded "Doesnt surprise me at all"she laughed slightly and looked around slightly eyes stopping on a nother women. she stood up being polight and smile nodding to the new person Caitlyn Hellstorm Caitlyn looks directly at Mistalina, obiviously not pleased with her but she knows that she couldn't throw a fit in front of other woman. Her wings twitches as she stares at Caffe with almost hostile eyes and she nods curtly. "Hello.. I am Caitlyn, Mistalina's partner." mistalina13 Mistalina looked over her shoulder and spotted Caitlyn. "Here we go." She murmured and rested her head on her hand while she waited for the inevitable lecture. She watched the other tiefling walk across the room, looking quite...annoyed. She smirked, as long as the other girl was here she was safe. Caitlyn Hellstorm Caitlyn contiunes to watch Caffe for few minutes before she rolls her eyes, looking at Mistalina. "Talkative is she?" She says in wry voice as she walks over to her. "Are you all right, Mistalina?" She says in netural voice as she watches her partner with impassive expression on her face. She is trying her best not to snap at Mistalina, she did improve considerably in that part. She learned how to hold back on her bitching around Mistalina in the public and occassionally in private. mistalina13 "As well as to be expected." Mistalina looked up at the red headed tiefling. "I came here to see about an appointment, that's all." She frowned slightly, hoping that would brighten the others mood.

Mistalina's DiaryFebruary 11, 2007I think Caitlyn just might kill me if I mention another midnight craving again. All the twins seem to want half the time is chocolate ice cream in the middle of the night. Admittedly, something I'm not really fond of myself. So, some nights Caitlyn comes downstairs looking for me and there I am, standing in the kitchen with a bowl of chocolate ice cream balanced on my belly. Makes me look, and feel, like a goddamn moron, but I can't help it. I went to see about the checkup appointment and they said they'd get back to me on it. I hope it doesn't take too long; I want to know how the twins are doing. 3 days until Saint Valentine's Day. I have no idea what I'm going to do.

Friday Crafts DayShidiomi gets creative...and Mistalina meets Amyla...Amyla Edana After her recent discovery of Aryana's... uniqueness, for lack of a better word, Amyla had decided they needed a little mother-daughter bonding time. While out shopping, she had seen a flyer for a program running out a local children's center. "Come do crafts with your kids. For infants to elementary school children", it had proclaimed, and since Yana seemed to enjoy such things, Amyla had elected to take the girl to this activity. Thus far, she counted it as a success.
This week's craft was a simple one. Each child received a little white cardboard box, complete with lid-- it looked rather like a small shoebox to Amyla-- and glitter, construction paper, pompoms, and a variety of other things were provided to glue on said box. Under normal conditions, one child could make a substantial mess with these things. The place looked like a complete warzone.
Yana, just having started, was randomly glueing orange triangles of construction paper to her box. While Amyla couldn't understand half of what her daugher babbled, she concluded that the girl was having fun, if the wide grin across the toddler's face was anything to go by. As long as she didn't touch the glitter... mistalina13 Mistalina had come across the same flyer on one of the tables in the clinic's lobby when she had been there last. It had seemed like something that Shidiomi might enjoy, so on one day when she was feeling well enough to go for a walk again she brought the young boy there. Perhaps he could make friends with some of the children here. She held Shidiomi's hand as they walked through the door and her other hand rested on her swollen stomach; the twins had been ticking and moving around all day and she needed a chance to sit and relax. Shidiomi's tail swished back and forth as he looked over the other children. He was a little relieved they were all around his age, but he was still quite the shy little catboy. "Are you, staying here with me, Momma?" He looked up at Mistalina questioningly. "Of course, so don't worry. Let's go find a spot to sit down." They made there way through the room and managed to find a pair of empty seats at a table, which was the one Amyla and her daughter were seated at. Amyla Edana Amyla smiled broadly as the two newcomers joined her and Yana at the table. "Hi. I'm guessing you found one of those leaflets as well?" she inquired, noting the woman's distended abdomen. Ahhh, she remembered those days, and she was in no particular hurry to revisit them. Not a chance.
Yana, who had been completely unaware of the others' approach, looked up in surprise when they sat down. Her eyes widened in surprise, and she reached over to tug on her mother's sleeve, her gaze moving back and forth between the newcomers and her parent. When Amyla turned to look at her, she immediately made the sign for 'good', a wary and questioning look on her face.
Amyla nodded and made the sign for 'yes', even as she said it aloud. "Yes, Yana, they're good people," she reassured her daughter.
Appeased, the girl looked at the little catboy, tilting her head curiously from one side to the other. mistalina13 Mistalina let out a pleasant sigh when she sat down in the chair, it felt good to be off her feet again. "Hello..." She helped Shidiomi up into his chair afterward. "Yes, I did. It seemed like something that Shidiomi might enjoy.." Shidiomi looked from the little girl to her mother then waved shyly. "Hello." His ears twitched and he curled his tail around front of him. "This is Shidiomi, he's just...shy." She smiled and patted the little catboy on the head. Amyla Edana Amyla smiled at them both, relaxing a bit now that Yana didn't seem to be quite so wary of these two. "This is my daughter Yana. She tends to be a little bit cautious of people," she replied in what was perhaps the understatement of the year. Aryana was generally terrified of people. "And I'm Amyla, by the way."
Yana wiggled her fingers in a wave at the little boy before picking up a gluestick and commencing to rub it all over one of the yet-undecorated side of her box. Once the box was made thoroughly sticky, she glanced about the table for something appropriately decorative to stick on it. mistalina13 "My name is Mistalina..." She leaned against the edge of the table, seeming distracted for a moment before smiling. One of the twins had kicked again. She rubbed her stomach lightly before glancing over at Amyla. Shidiomi in the meantime had gotten himself a box and was busying himself with drawing on it with markers from a pack he had found on the table. The catboy grinned widely and giggled. He would be content just to sit and draw all afternoon. Amyla Edana "Wonderful to meet you, Mistalina. How far along are you?" Amyla inquired curiously, nodding her head at the other woman's stomach. She was still trying to shed pregnancy pounds herself, sad as it was. That reminded her; she needed to go out for a walk later.
After having sprinkled some glitter across the side of the box and stuck on a few pompoms, Yana turned to the opposite side. She looked thoughtful and rooted through the craft supplies on the table before she decided on a handful of crayons. She faintly heard the boy's giggle, and she looked over at Shidiomi, watching him draw for a moment. mistalina13 "I'm not sure...to be honest..." Mistalina blushed sheepishly. "...far enough for the twins to be pretty active though..." She sighed softly and rubbed the back of her neck. "I don't know how long it going to be either; It's not common for my kind to birth children." Shidiomi was drawing little stars and moons all over the box, switching colors of marker every so often. Then he looked around the table for something else to use, finding the little and a gluestick. "Help me, please, Momma?" He asked tugging on her sleeve and holding up the glitter container. "Sure sweetheart..." She opened the glitter container for him and watched him put dots of glue on the box and cover them with glitter and smiled. He was having fun, so she was glad she brought him here. Amyla Edana "Ohhh, I remember those days," Amyla chuckled, nodding in understanding. "They tend to choose the worst moments to be difficult, I've noticed." She frowned a bit, concerned. "Is your kind generally sterile, or do you just have kids differently? My... errrr, mate... and I had some problems as well."
While Amyla carefully moved an open container of glitter away from Yana's elbow range, sticking the cap on to prevent spills, Yana was busily drawing on one side of the box. It took her mother a few moments to understand what the toddler was drawing, but she eventually began to see a stick figure-style family portrait taking shape. There was Caleb, then Erin, then Kayce, then Eowyn, and...
Amyla resisted the urge to snort at her daughter's drawing of her father. Aiodhan would pitch a fit when he saw it. mistalina13 "Sometimes...most are nearly sterile, depending on where our bloodlines descend from. We there is a child conceived of my kind...it's very much a loveless thing...it's especially true with the more demon blood we have." Mistalina glanced off to the side as she spoke, her families history was unpleasant to say the least. "These children weren't even a mating accident." She sighed, almost seeming annoyed. "I would've prefered that they were though, at least I would've been in control of my actions." Shidiomi had finished with the glue and glitter, setting them aside; however he had forgotten to close the glitter container. He picked up a couple of othe crayons from the table and started to add more designs to the box outside. mistalina13 "Sometimes...most are nearly sterile, depending on where our bloodlines descend from. Amyla Edana Comprehension dawned, and Amyla nodded in understanding. She had had several patients with demon bloodlines come through her ER. "You didn't intend to have them?" she inquired. It seemed odd to her that a woman so affectionate with this little child would not want others, but maybe she didn't want to go through the physical strain of pregnancy. Amyla couldn't blame her; it was a real pain. Worthwhile, it was, but it was also a great pain.
Yana frowned suddenly and began searching around the table, obviously in search of a crayon of a different color. When she couldn't find the one she wanted, she made a sound of inquiry and very gently tugged on her mother's sleeve. She made another handsign, and Amyla immediately located a red crayon and passed it to the little girl. Yana smiled broadly and returned to her coloring, adding hair to one of the figures in her portrait. mistalina13 "I have no mate, not even a partner really. Though now, I suppose these two's other mother is my partner, for the time being." Mistalina frowned. "A friend of mine left Shidiomi on my doorstep, because he couldn't handle the child as well as he thought. I love my children deeply, including Shidiomi...but I would've prefered to at least have chosen who the other parent was...since it's likely that I cannot have any more children." Shidiomi had set about drawing swirls and other little symbols and patterns on the outsides of the boxes. After a time he decided the outside of the box was decorated enough, then removed the lid and got to work on the inside. Amyla Edana Amyla fell silent for a moment, considering that situation. It didn't sound like the best one to be in, pregnant with children whose other parent was... well, not of your choosing. She had a feeling there was a long story behind the unborn children's presence, but she opted not to inquire. "How many children do you have?"
Yana, having fully decorated the sides of her box, was eyeing the lid. She picked up the glue stick again and began putting small smudges of glue all over the top. Her previous hunts and yielded a variety of sequins, and she was now proceeding to stick them one-by-one on the lid, grinning widely at the completely random pattern of them all. mistalina13 "Just Shidiomi, and these two. I wanted to adopt more, but with the twins coming now...and all that after; I don't know if I should." Mistalina chewed on her lower lip a moment, neglecting to mention the agreement she and Caitlyn had made, to split up the twins after they were born and likely never see each other again. Shidiomi pushed his box to the side for the moment and reached over to hug Mistalina as best he could with her large stomach. "Momma..sad again?" He asked and his ears drooped slightly. "A little baby, but don't worry about it. I'll be fine, work on your box some more. It's getting to be very pretty." "Promise?" He looked at her with his deep pink eyes, full of concern despite his age. He hated seeing his Momma sad. "I promise." She smiled and hugged him in return. After that Shidiomi went to working on his box. Amyla Edana "It can be a little hectic with a lot of young kids at once. Once they get older, it gets easier," Amyla said with a faint smile. Having her kids plenty spread out amongst the age groups made her life a great deal easier, if more interesting at times. She watched Shidiomi's display of concern and smiled more widely as he went back to his box. "He seems like a wonderful child. And a good artist!" she added, eyeing his box with interest.
Yana, who was still gluing shiny sequins on the top of her box, kept on ignoring the others around her, save for her mother when she couldn't find a crayon. The fact that bright colors and shiny things were present negated all interest in other people. She frowned a bit at one particularly empty spot on the lid and then picked up a purple crayon to begin drawing in it. mistalina13 "Perhaps, once Shidiomi and the twins are a little older..." Mistalina said hopefully. Though, you're only responsible for one of the twins. She pushed the thought to the back of her mind. "...I'll think about another baby." Shidiomi continued to color on the lid of the box and evenutally looked over at Mistalina. "Momma look!" "It's very pretty. Are you all done?" "Yeah...I think so. It's for you Momma." The little catboy grinned, put the lid on the box and slid it over to her. Amyla Edana Amyla chuckled wryly. "I've learned that in this world, not all kids arrive as babies," she said, smiling at Shidiomi's artistic creation. It looked very nice to her. She was almost frightened to see what Yana came up with.
The little girl was either psychic or had exceedingly good timing, for Amyla felt a tug on her sleeve an instant later. She glanced over to see Yana carefully setting the lid on the box and grinning up at her. "Nice, Yana," she chuckled at the completely mismatched box, especially loving the purple duck drawn on top. "I'm guessing that's your duck," she said, making the handsign that meant 'duck'.
Yana nodded and pointed at the figure drawn on the box lid. Noticing that the other child had finished, she gave him a curious look, her gaze moving between him and his decorated box. mistalina13 Shidiomi hugged Mistalina again then looked over at Yana's box. It was quite colorful, shiney and a little silly. He put his hand over his face to hide the fact he started giggling. Mistalina hugged Shidiomi and looked over at Yana's creation as well. "Very colorful." She smiled and nudged Shidiomi in the back lightly to let him know it wasn't nice to laugh. The catboy forced down his giggles and simply grinned. "I think it's about time for us to be going home Shidiomi, since your done. Caitlyn will be wondering where we are...and I didn't exactly tell her we were going to be gone for this long." Shidiomi's ears dropped again and he frowned. "Okay Momma." It took Mistalina moment to get up from the chair. "It's nice to have met you, Amyla." She smiled slightly. "Yeah." Shidiomi nodded and grabbed Mistalina's arm, half hiding his face behind it, playing shy again. Amyla Edana Yana, unable to hear the boy's giggles, looked appropriately bewildered when he put his hand over his face. Then her look transformed to one of mild annoyance. How was she supposed to see him talking if she couldn't see his mouth?
Amyla grinned. No, Yana was not an artist in the making, but she had a definite sense of style, albeit a slightly abnormal one. Silly child. "I think I'd better head home as well to make sure Aiodhan hasn't burned down the house," she said, realizing just how long they'd been here. "It was nice to meet you as well, Mistalina. Good luck," she said with a smile, rising out of her chair.
Sensing that they were leaving, Yana hopped down from her chair, reaching back up onto the table to grab her brightly-decorated box. She looked back at Shidiomi and waggled her fingers as a wave. mistalina13 Shidiomi grabbed his box from the table as well and waved to Yana. She seemed like a nice enough little girl, though she was a bit strange. Mistalina in the meantime had turned and started toward the door. The catboy turned and ran after her and grabbed her hand again just before they got to the door.

Check Up Time! Are the twins okay?Doctor Julian Check-up Mistalina visited the clinic for a check-up. The twins seem to be doing fine, though Mistalina is undoubtedly sore and feeling the extra weight. As long as a well-balanced diet and decent excercise routine are maintained, there should be nothing out of the ordinary. The tiefling pair walked to the clinic together, with the young catboy walking in between them, holding each of their hands. Shidiomi had begged and pleaded to come along to the appointment, because he wanted to be a good big brother. “How far Momma?” The catboy’s tail swished back and forth as he skipped along between them. “Not far now sweetie.” Mistalina smiled at her adopted son. “Yeah, it’s just up the road.” Caitlyn grinned and looked over at the black haired tiefling. “You feeling alright today?” “As good as I can, Cait…dealing with forty-eight extra pounds isn’t easy.” Mistalina’s other hand instinctively went to swollen stomach. “…I might have to ask you for a foot massage when we get home.” The red haired tiefling laughed. “Sure thing…” “How long until the babies come?” Shidiomi looked back and forth between his parents, a little curious expression on face. “Hopefully we’ll find that out today.” Mistalina reached down and fluffed the catboy’s hair. “…though, I think it will be soon.” “Ah…we’re here.” Caitlyn let go of Shidiomi’s hand and pushed the clinic door open. The young man at the desk looked over when the door opened. “Hello.” Shidiomi followed Mistalina to the desk, still clinging to her hand and Caitlyn followed after once the outside door closed. “Hello. We’re here for an appointment…” The young man glanced at the clock, then at his appointment book. “Mistalina Norovir. Correct?” The black haired tiefling nodded. “Julian will be along momen-there he is.” Julian looked out from around the doorway beside the desk. “So you’re the next appointment. Come along then.” Julian led the three of them to one of the open rooms. Caitlyn and Shidiomi took sat down in the chairs by the table. Mistalina sat herself down on the table and sighed, grateful to be off her feet. It didn’t take long for the checkup itself, another physical exam like before, weight, belly measurements and checking the development of the twins. “Just fine.” Julian said as he pulled the stethoscope ends out of his ears. “You and the twins…all just fine.” He smiled. “You’re belly is a little larger than normal, even for carrying twins, but your due soon, so it shouldn’t be a concern. Make sure to maintain a good diet and exercise, but don't over exert yourself.” Mistalina pulled down her top back over her belly again and nodded. “Is there any way to tell how soon?” “A few weeks, I should think. You didn’t want to know the genders, did you?” “Su-“ The red headed tiefling started to speak. “No, I’d rather it be a surprise.” “Okay.” Caitlyn smiled and stroked Shidiomi’s hair. The catboy had fallen asleep in her lap a little while ago, tired from school, playing part of the afternoon and the trip over here afterward. “So, if you don’t have anymore questions…you’re through for this visit.” “No questions.” Mistalina smiled and rested a hand on her stomach. Just a few more weeks now.

Caitlyn's Journal Feburary 20, 2007
Eh.. Mardi Gras today.. I might take Mistalina to parade today since I feel kind of guilty because I have been too overly protective of Mistalina and kids to the extend where I will virtually stalk her to make sure she won't harm herself or the children. I know she won't hurt the children but there is something inside me that make me go "watch Mistalina...".
Today I will apologize to Mistalina and try to make up to her. Hopefully she will accept my apology and we can at least try to work things out for the twins sake. Well.. I need to leave the note for Mistalina asking her if she want to go to Mardi Gras parade with me tonight.
I can't wait to see the kiddies...I have been watching mistalina when she wasn't looking and wonder how things will go after the babies are born. I get this warm tingly feeling inside me.. it kind of .. make me happy.. I don't know how to explain that... anyway... bye.

Mistalina's DiaryFebrary 21, 2007Didn't go with Caitlyn to Mardi Gras. I was too exhausted and it wouldn't be any fun for me anyway. I should mention, Caitlyn and I went for the checkup the other day. The doctor said the twins were developing fine and it should only be a few more weeks until they're born. I'm grateful for that, because frankly I'm tired of being pregnant. The constant aches, pains, cravings and everything. Not to mention, I'm always uncomfortable. Oh, we decided not to find out the twins genders until they're born, it'll be more of a suprise. So, all the baby stuff being bought goes either way colorwise. Shidiomi is so happy that the twins will be born soon. He can't wait to be a big brother. I thought mention though, he's growing up so fast...he's sprouted up a few more inches just since he's come to live with me. And I'm glad he likes being here, it's nice to have someone young in the house, it cheers me up. I should go and rest, I've been playing with Shidiomi all morning.

Mistalina's DiaryFebruary 24, 2007I find unable to sleep this night. So I am sitting on Shidiomi's bed. He's fallen asleep, with his head rested against my belly. He told me he wanted to be a good big brother, and start telling the twins bedtime stories now. It's so adorable. For once the twins are quiet, perhaps Shidiomi's story helped, or they are trying to give me a little rest before they emerge into the world. Only a few weeks more, that's what the doctor said. I'm glad, because I feel like a cow...and one that needs milking at that. Normally my bust is a B cup, now it's C cup, and it's driving me nuts, I hate having a larger chest. That reminds me of another thing I need to decide, whether the child I'm caring for is going to be breast or bottle fed...I need to do a little more shopping as well, some more baby clothes and other neccesities. It seems I need come rest now, so I'll just stay in Shidiomi's room tonight, I'll wake him if I try to get up.

Exercise And RacoonsMistalina takes a walk, stops at the clinic to rest and meets Raiden..Raien Raidart Somehow, oddly, the bulbous round, furred belly of the raccoon anthro pushed the door open. Sort of waddling now, he made his way threw the clinic and towards the front desk. His hands were both on his stomach; kind of afraid he’d lose it or something.
Though, at this point, the poor man would be ready to get rid of it. Just as long as his unborn child was safe. Blowing out a sigh, he signed in then turned and went to a set of chairs to rest himself into.
mistalina13 Mistalina pushed the clinic's door open, stepped it and let it close gently behind her. Having been out for a decent walk, she was in need of a rest before she could head home. Both hands went automatically to her back as she made her way to a chair, the extra weight from the twins was starting to get to her even more now. She let out a relieved sigh when she came to rest in the chair, grateful from the pressure on her feet and back being lessened to a degree. Looking around, the tiefling noticed someone else in the lobby as well. Anthro was the word they used for his kind here, a racoon anthro to be more precise. The black haired tiefling smiled softly and gave him a little wave, before she noticed his swollen belly. Her expression shifted slightly, to one of suprise, her mouth forming a little 'o'. You here stories of things, among certain races where males can bear offspring as well as females, but she'd never actually seen a pregnant male. Realising after a moment how she must seem to him she tried to compose herself. Raien Raidart /What Race is she anyhow? You said...Tiefling? What is that?/
Of course, it was not in his race. Be it from the help of the clinic, the poor raccoon was in such a state of disalarm.
Noticing the female who'd came in, with her ratherly large swollen stomach, Raien shifted before he slowly stood and went to sit beside her. He noticed her exspression well enough, but rather smiled. "A male...with a child. Quite an exsperience really...The name is Raien. Raien Raidart." Wow. For someone who had been so, so very cold before, was quite open and friendly, perhaps a bit happy now.
mistalina13 Her hands went to her stomach and she rubbed it lightly. The twins had been active again this morning, but the walk seemed to have settled them down some. On her last visit, the doctor had only said it would be a few more weeks. She hoped it was a few short weeks. "Mistalina Norovir." She blushed sheepishly, "I'm sorry I stared like that, I didn't mean to. It's...just certainly different...to see a pregnant male." Her headwings twitched slightly, folding in and her tail coiled around her leg. "Is it your first?" She guessed it was, and from the look of the young anthro's stomach, it looked like he might be delivering any day now. Shifting slightly in the chair, she rested her elbow and some of her weight against the arm, resting her cheek on her palm. Her other hand still rested on her belly, rubbing it lightly. She giggled suddenly, the twins had decided to be a little active again. "One of them kicked." For some reason, she felt the need to explain her giggling, in the hopes he wouldn't feel he was being laughed at. Raien Raidart Nodding, he smiled slightly a bit. "Aye...it 'tis my first child. Well I am having....its basicly a long story." He sighed softly and glanced down at the ground before looking up at Mistalina.
"Ah...the little on here isn't active much. But I've gotten a few kicks myself." He stroked his furry stomach before dropping his hands. "Twins is it? Or more...for your larger then most I've seen, as well you said one of them."
mistalina13 "Yes, twins...and they're a long story too." Mistalina sighed softly, "So far from planned, it's madness. I kept them only because I don't believe I'll ever be able to bear any others." Her gaze flicked toward Raiden's stomach, and she wished for a moment that only a single life had taken root in her womb, so she wouldn't be so as the racoon put it, large. "I bet your little one will be adorable though." She smiled, her hand slipping from her own stomach, and coming to rest on the arm of her chair for a moment. "..do you mind?" Her gaze flicked toward his belly again, she was asking if she could feel his belly. Part of her understood why it was so fascinating to Shidiomi, to lay for hours with his head resting against her belly, just to sit and wait for the chance to feel his unborn siblings shift or kick. It was just something so special. She had felt it herself many, many times now...but she kind of wanted to discover this the way Shidiomi had. Such a curious thing, hopefully the young man wouldn't mind. Raien Raidart
Many a women had wanted to feel his abnormal, large bundle of life. Shifting, Raien's ear flickered slightly before he nodded. His fluffy tail swishing behind him, as he'd turned in his seat. "I think it knows you must be someone near. For it's finally pick up its own beat." He chuckled and shrugged softly, only winching slightly.
In the very beginning, any woman who had just touched his stomach, Raien had hissed at. And scared each one away, no one was gonna put paws on him. Or his unborn child. But now was not so bad.
mistalina13 The tiefling rested her hand on his belly and she giggled. "Your right." She smiled slightly. "I only asked, because my little boy seems to like doing it and I wondered why it was so interesting." She drew her hand back and let it come to rest on the arm of the chair. "I think I understand now." Her tail uncoiled from her leg and swished idly back and forth as she began to relax a bit more. Raien Raidart Raising a black brown, Raien smiled softly however, " you have another child then?" He settled back shifted as he waited for her answer.
A bit antsy to get this visit over with. He wanted nothing more then to go home and curl up. His own tail had swayed softly as it dipped down between the opening of the chair, near the floor.
mistalina13 "An adopted son, a friend of mine left him with me. Said he couldn't take care of the little boy well enough, and figured I could do better. His name is Shidiomi, I love him dearly." Mistalina smiled, thinking fondly of her little catboy, who at the moment was at school with his friends. Raien Raidart Smiling softly, Raien nodded. "Ahh...Luck smiled upon you. I hope all is will go well with the birthing." He stated and yawned slightly. Raien knew he was already tired and wished so very much to hurry the appointment up so he could get home to just do that. Rest.
It was then his name was called and Raien shifted slowly and very clumsily pushing himself up ou tof the chair a hand on his back. Grunting a bit he sighed. "I guess I need to go. 'Twas very nice to meet you Mistalina. Perhaps I shall see you another time." Turning away the raccoon man's ringtail swayed gracefully behind him as he waddled threw the door held open for him by the nurse.

Mistalina's DiaryFebruary 26, 2007I found a persacom catalog when I was in town yesterday, and I think I'm going to order one. It would be quite useful, helping with the children, a playmate for Shidiomi and a helper for me... among other things of course. Now to decide what to get. Added A Bit Later In the DayI ordered one. I believe they call it a 'Vampire Hunter' model. Sexy, good with children and gives wonderful massages. Absolutely perfect, and since I ordered it online, they'll be shipping it today, and it will arrive this evening. Caitlyn is gonna freak out. Is it sad that I'm getting excited about this?
