Phoenecia Wow... I believe you now, Q. They really ARE horrible sweatdrop . Oh yeah, I don't lie about how crappy my life was. It has taken me great... (I forewarn you, do not read this white text if you don't want to feel insulted) As I was saying, it has taken me GREAT self-control to not simply post one "normal" journal entry of ye olde Q's life in somebody's ranting thread where they're convinced their life has gone to pieces, to show them some perspective. Not to say I had the worst life ever - far from it - but it still seems that my everyday problems were worse than guild's "major setbacks." No offense intended(for the most part). Sorry in advance for those insulted even though I gave a disclaimer.Anyway, It only makes sense that it was edited out of the lecture video. Let's just hope the video posted on YouTube is only processing. Hopefully it will be up anyway within an hour or two? Do you have that friend's email/IM/Phone? Ask them for more info or possibly a link, maybe? I want to see this so badly! xd edit: Hirun, I don't keep a journal any more since I've nothing to really rant about. My "problems" int he rant threads now aren't really that bad. I just rant because I'm bored. Whereas back in my journal-keeping days, I did it for stress release. And it makes a great stress release, too. =3

So the idiots don't leave when you get out of high school? gonk
I remember taking World History with quite possibly the most irritating people on the face of the planet. There was a group of girls who apparently decided that they should be allowed to talk whenever they wanted, not turn in any work, and still get A's in the class. Unfortunately our teacher was pretty new and instead of kicking those fool out, he argued with them for an hour and a half.
So one day they're arguing about whether the teacher has the power to dock their grades for disrupting the class (which the student handbook says he does) and finally I get fed up with them and tell them basically that they should just shut up and do the work, because that's what school is.
Suddenly I get three death glares and one of the girls is like "OMG I'll beat you up."
I wanted to kick her butt so bad. But the teacher called attention back to himself and the fighting went on. The worst part? Nothing changed. Except that teacher is less likely to take crap from people now. But the teachers at my school can't get away with disciplining kids because the parents whine to the principal who tells the teachers to be nice. rolleyes

Unfortunately, I don't have his phone number, e-mail, or anything. He's more of an accquaintance than a close friend XD. He's in quite a few of my classes, so I see him often. I probably won't be seeing him again until Monday, so I'd have to wait until then to ask. If people are still talking about it by then it'll be easier for me to find the video.
How long does it take Youtube to process a video after you've uploaded it?

Tedie: Augh, I hate that! That is where my dislike of most girls in general comes from. But no, the idiots don't leave. They climb the ranks on someone else's back. When I had Screenwriting & Storyboarding in my first quarter of college, a lot of the students were complaining about how much home work they got and how they shouldn't have to do it(that being drawing storyboards and writing a screenplay).
Each class is four hours long and one day a week. I did most of my work IN CLASS after the guy was done lecturing. I don't want to be anywhere NEAR the screenwriting &/or storyboarding part of the movie industry when I get out of college, but I DO understand I need to know this stuff to advance and understand how a movie is made(not to mention this class is required to graduate).
I handed my final project in an entire week early and skipped the last day of class to go to AWA - Anime Weekend Atlanta(anime convention), and I was the only person in that class who got an A.
I left early, hardly did homework('cause I did it after he was done lecturing, instead of playing on MYSPACE) and got a better grade than all of them. GO FIGURE. rolleyes
Phoenicia: It depends on how long the video is. My 3 minute video took about an hour or two. Generally it takes anywhere from 10 minutes(shortest I've ever had) to three days (longest I've ever had).

Bah. What you Westerners need is some good old Asian education. Take a big stick and beat the hell out of the rebels. Seriously.
I've experienced the education system of both sides (America, Canada and Asia) and frankly, I find the behavior of the students here to be somewhat... disturbing. At least in high school. The guys in university are much more well behaved. XD
A good paddling does wonders for the soul. Keeps you from disrupting class, coming late or doing anything at all. Except sleeping. Sneaky, sneaky me.

Westerners really are too lenient, but at the same time, I don't think we need to go to such great lengths as Asia.. I mean... Look at their suicide rates... ._,

o.o
Is glad he's in a community college... the classes are less like "lectures" and more like the "classes from HS"... LIKE... there are still plenty of differences...
But I'm damn glad that my Calc III class is only like 20-30 people as opposed to 200-300 people that would be in a big lecture class... else I'd prolly wind up flunking... x_x
As for the girl... and Q's description of those "people"... you've just gotta realize that there's gonna be idiots no matter where you go... and you'll live a MUCH happier life if you just try and live your life without thinking about them... 'cuz if you think about them, then you'll be perpetually angry... ._.
And I give ya credit for not going off and wailing on 'em... It's hard... I know... >_>

XD I don't think I would've punched her; someone else probably would've done it. Anyway, I found the video, but it was taken on a camera phone after all of the other students had left. Read the comments on the bottom, too. They're all people in my class and most of them were there when it happened. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ot_r0bfJucoApparently, everyone on campus is talking about it now. I'm actually starting to wonder if I should go to the lecture on Monday if the whole thing hasn't blown over by then; I do NOT want to have my entire day ruined by another outburst.

Wow, that's even crazier than I was thinking.
She's supposed to be advertising for Black History month, too? Well. She's doing a good job of promoting how stupid some of them can be. D:

It kind of reminds me of the people who used to go to my World Languages class. I kind of feel sorry for the professor, and the students, who had to put up with her. gonk

I feel a little bit sorry for the girl, though; everyone hates her, she's been getting a lot of negative attention, and some people think she has some sort of psychological problem. I've heard a lot of bad comments about her (mostly from students).
It was a bit of an overreaction on her part, but she did disrupt class and wasted time. Asking questions about lecture material isn't bad, but there's a time and place for it.
