Elnara Aldrich Elnara's eyes flashed yellow, then blue, then red. "I am not," she hissed angrily. "That was my mother, and there was no seduction! My father loved her as she loved him!" She clenched her fists tightly. She could feel that familiar tingling feeling going down her spine again ... Triton Winters Triton put a hand on Elnara's shoulder, "Elnara-hime, calm down, it's not his fault he's not bright enough to listen to rumours and tale talking."
Tao gave a particularlly evil look at the man, she didn't really understand only that, that what had happened wasn't good. Elrohir Aldrich His horse took a step backwards and snorted nervously. Its ears flickered back and forth, completely aware of the tension in the air. On top of that, there was an unfamilar scent in the air, there was a strange creature here ....
The elf nocked another arrow, this time pointed at the girl. "Demon-woman!" he cried. "Get away!" Triton Winters Tao moved in front of Elnara and growled menacingly, gone was the childish griffin. Instead one that was trying to make herself look much bigger. Triton reached into his cloak for his sword.
"I warn you sir, this one does not want to fight," Triton told him calmly, "But I will not let you hurt another because you choose to listen to lies." Elnara Aldrich She felt Triton's hand on her shoulder and managed to keep herself under control. But she wouldn't let him threaten them like that. She raised one hand and held it with her palm facing him. She looked like she was trying to stop him from doing something. "I think you need to be a little less eager to use that against others," she said quietly, referring to his bow. She flicked her fingers and a ball of flame jumped from her hand to the elf's bow. He dropped it, and within seconds the bow was nothing but ashes. "Now get out of here," she growled. "And don't you ever repeat those words about my mother again." Elrohir Aldrich He stared at the remains of his bow, then looked at the girl once more. "We'll meet again," he replied angrily. "Count on it."
And he turned his horse around and disappeared into the trees. Triton Winters "Some people have issues," Triton muttered looking at Elnara, Tao chirpered and gently nipped the hem of Elnara's shirt.
Looking up at Elnara with wide eyes. Elnara Aldrich She nodded, still angry, tears in her eyes. "And this is what I lived with after my mother left," she whispered harshly. "All the time. And I'm afraid people will talk the same about me ..." She looked down at Tao and smiled sadly. "Ah, but you're a loyal friend aren't you Tao?" she murmured, scratching the griffin behind the ears. She looked up at Triton. "Thanks." Triton Winters Triton smiled, abid a bit sadly, "No wonder why you were worried about telling people. I can't imagine something like that back home, but I guess when you live in mainly cities where there are at least a dozen races it's hard to be bias. Granted there are a lot of Right Groups out there, and they're scary about other people's rights."
He rubbed her back.
"Come on, let the moron run off, it's clear he's just a bit high strung." Elnara Aldrich She reached over and hugged him with one arm. She didn't know what made her do it, it just seemed like the thing to do, the only way she could really show him how grateful she was for his support. She sighed and rolled her sleeve down again. "I guess that's the last time I use that as I.D.," she commented sourly. "Once upon a time it commanded respect." Triton Winters Triton nodded silently, he understood what she meant by that, it was kind of like the way the school pendants commanded the kind of respect in terms of schooling. After all, once one graduated, it was like your credital. Elnara Aldrich The hours passed slowly, and by the time night fell, Elnara was completely exhausted. After all, even though they had only been in the Four Lands for about 17 hours, they had been awake and active in Gaia for about 7 before that. She was pretty much falling asleep on her horse when she finally called a stop. "I don't know about you," she said to Triton with a tired smile, "but I'm ready for a good sleep." Triton Winters "Hmm...?" Triton cracked one eye open, Tao's large body made it easier to balance on her, so he didn't really notice he was have dozing until Elnara spoke.
He looked around warily for a bit, before nodding.
"I would think so, unless it's possible to sleep while riding we're not going to get far tonight." Elnara Aldrich "We could," she nodded, "But Tao and the horse need a rest as much as we do ... besides, I can't be sure that we'd be keeping in the right direction if I slept while riding." She stopped her horse and slid to the ground. "We should be safe here," she said, "but it might be a good idea to keep an ear out for anything ..." Even in her exhausted state, she couldn't forget what her lack of vigilance had cost her that one night. Triton Winters Triton dismounted and looked around briefly, "Take shift watches perhaps?" he suggested, knowing that it was done if people travelled in groups.
It would be the best for the both of them.

Elnara Aldrich She nodded. "Two hours?" she asked. It was a reasonable amount of time. One problem though ... "Are you wearing a watch?" she asked. "Or can you tell the time by the stars?" Triton Winters "By the stars," Triton murmured before chuckling a bit, "I had Yuki teach me, I thought I would never get it, I don't know how he does it."
He shook his head at the thought, but since he didn't wear a watch, he thought he should ask Yukito for lessons, and now was glad he did. Elnara Aldrich She sighed with relief. "Good." She took a thick rolled-up blanket out of her bag and threw it around her shoulders. "I'll take the first watch," she offered. "You looked like you were already sleeping there." She started collecting twigs and small branches to start a fire. Triton Winters Triton rummaged around his bag for matches, because he knew he had them and easier than using flint anyhow. He nodded at that thought, it was just very comfortable riding Tao that's all.
"I think we've been up for longer than 24 hours." Elnara Aldrich She nodded in agreement. She noticed him digging through his bag and asked curiously, "What are you looking for?" Triton Winters "Matches for the fire," Triton replied, "It would be faster than using a flint, and I have quite a number of them.. I think Mom used runes on the bag somehow."
He pulled out a small packet wtih small sticks tipped in red. Elnara Aldrich "Ah." She decided not to remind him of her firecasting capabilities ... he didn't like magic anyways. "Um, maybe I'd better warn you," she said hesitantly. "Here ... in this world ... magic is such an integral part of our lives that to us, it is life ... not magic. So ... if anything happens ... be prepared for anything. Fighting fair isn't something that happens often here." Triton Winters "After going against Gael, there is very little that would surprise me," Triton murmured as he helped set up the fire, "Besides, it's just another ability, why would a person not use it?" Elnara Aldrich Elnara pulled her blanket tighter around her body. "Who's Gael?" she asked. Triton Winters "I guy I got into a fight with once, or rather he got into a fight with me," Triton replied, "He had some pretty unique powers on him, it wasn't fun. The heads were freaking out for a while afterwards."
Pulling out a blanket he pulled it over himself, putting another blanket on Tao.
"I busted a rib, and got several deep cuts from it." Elnara Aldrich Elnara winced. "Ouch. Was that what happened to your back?" She bit her lip. "Oh, I wasn't supposed to say anything ..." Triton Winters "It's fine," Triton interrupted, "It's just my back seems to be a constant source to target, before becoming an adult I've gotten into three major fights no less, and then a fourth one more recently, but that was stopped before it could get out of hand." Elnara Aldrich "No wonder you warned me so much about leaving my back exposed when we were sparring," she said quietly, sitting back against a tree. "But then, I wasn't really used to fighting like that. Since my - incident - those years ago, I haven't even bothered to try fighting fairly. I'm almost too scared to take the risk." She shrugged. "Plus there's always the fact that no one spars here ... if you're in a fight, it's for your life." Triton Winters "Well that was a spar between teacher and student," Triton replied, "A real spar, one between two people testing their strength can be as dangerous as any real fight. The first time I was hit in the back was during a spar, an upperclassman was going overboard at the time."
He shook his head of that thought.
"Sparring really comes from a tradition of testing physical strength and aligty." Elnara Aldrich Elnara laughed. "Well, you sound wide awake again," she commented with a smile. "Do you want to take the first watch then?"

Triton Winters Triton chuckled, he would be like that, wide awake when talking about something as serious a fighting.
"I don't mind, you can rest if you want," Triton smiled. Elnara Aldrich She smiled. "Thanks." She lay down and pulled her blanket around her shoulders once more. "This just seems to be something else that I inherited from my mother," she said with a small giggle. "She could go for days without a proper rest ... but once she hit that point where she was just so tired ... she just conked right out, no matter where she was or what she was doing." Her voice was growing steadily quieter but for once it was not because of sadness. She was smiling. Triton Winters Triton chuckled a bit at that thought, well at least things should be fine for the night. He looked out into the night, letting himself use Tao as a backing. What a strange sight this would make. Elnara Aldrich For a long time, the night was silent. Then out of the darkness, Elnara asked quietly, "Do you think she might have returned home again by now?" Triton Winters "It's quite possible," Triton replied not looking at her, instead looking out into the open, "I wouldn't cross it out as a possiblity anyhow. More incredibile things have happened in the world. It would be quite a sight." Elnara Aldrich "I hope you get the chance to meet her." Her voice was barely audible, almost a breath. Triton Winters Triton nodded silently, it was about time he let her sleep. It sounded like she was drifting off anyways. Sitting back against Tao, feeling her breath deeply, he watch the night go on. Elnara Aldrich Footsteps ... she heard footsteps. Walking - no, running. This way.
A dream ... or was it?Something hit her in the side and she went sprawling. When she stopped, she found herself face to face with an elven child. Elrohir Aldrich The boy screamed and struggled to his feet. He could hear the shouts of the men who were chasing him not far behind. Triton Winters Triton was already too his feet, and Tao shrieked at being awoken suddenly. The boy had gone too fast for him to stop the kid from running into Elnara, but the fact the kid was running from others did not comfort him.
"Tao guard!" Triton commanded the griffin as he drew out his sword. Elnara Aldrich Elnara was immediately wide awake, and she grabbed the child and jerked him to the ground. "Stay down!" she commanded. She looked into the boy's dark eyes. "Who's after you?" Elrohir Aldrich The boy couldn't speak, he was so filled with fear. His eyes were wide, and he was bleeding from one cheek.
"Don't - don't let them take me!" he screamed, covering his head with his arms.
The shouts were getting closer, mixed with sounds of clanking metal chains. Triton Winters Triton threw his blanket over towards Elnara so she could get the boy covered. Tao shed her own blanket to trot over to the boy stretching out her great wings to cover him. Chirping and nudging him with her beak.
"Elnara, stay with him okay?" Triton asked as he turned to where the sound was coming from. Elnara Aldrich Elnara nodded and put her arms around the hysteric child. "Hey, it's ok," she said gently, trying to soothe him. "You're gonna be ok." She wrapped him in the blanket and held him close. Elrohir Aldrich He covered his ears and curled up into a ball, still screaming.
Only a few short moments later two humans crashed into the clearing. All had drawn weapons and when they saw the lone standing silhouette in the clearing they moved immediately to attack it.

Triton Winters Well the idea of talking his way out completely went out the window. Triton moved, closing the distance between him and the humans. Instead of however drawing up his sword for a slash, he hopped forward on one foot before giving the one closest to him a good roundabout kick, not really caring if it hit the man's neck instead of the shoulder. Elrohir Aldrich The first man hit the dirt and didn't get up again for a very long time. The second one turned in his tracks, wary now, and faced the cloaked silhouetted with his sword up and ready. Then with a yell he rushed him. Triton Winters Triton rolled his eyes, how many times had the headmaster beat them over the head with the fact you do not yell when you're attacking? He brought up his sword to parry, ready to move out of the way if needed.
"Don't make this one hurt you," Triton warned. Elrohir Aldrich The guy might as well have been speaking dwarfish for all the human understood of it. He vented his fury and knocked the guy's sword to the side. Elnara Aldrich Elnara listened to the sounds of the fight from beneath the safety of Tao's wings. The child wasn't screaming anymore, but he was still curled up tightly in a ball and holding his head. She could hear him sobbing and held him closer, trying to be reassuring to him. Triton Winters Triton's arm went to the side, as the force made him lose his position. In an act of a suddeness though he moved closer to the man, turning his body as to use his free arm to elbow the man hard in the face. Elrohir Aldrich The man clotheslined and fell flat on his back. His wind was knocked out of him, and he stared up at the sky, unable to move. Triton Winters "Now..." Triton said lifting the one he just knocked to the ground up by his shirt, "Why were you chasing that young boy over there?"
It was a curious thing, especially since it was clear they weren't even from the same race. Elrohir Aldrich The man had no idea what the fighter was saying, but he knew that if he moved, he was toast. He just lay there, glaring up at the figure who had him in such a vulnerable position. Elnara Aldrich Elnara poked her head out from between Tao's wings. "He doesn't speak this language," she explained. "Let me talk to him." She made sure that the child wasn't going to go anywhere, then joined Triton at the human's side. " Ken' tac theoiru?" she demanded harshly. Triton Winters "Great... I don't think we speak the same language," Triton sighed, and he didn't think the man knew Japanese, so that was out of the question.
He threw the man back on the ground unceremoniously before walking back to camp, to where Elnara and the boy was.
"They don't speak my language," he called out to her, "So I have no clue what they want." Elnara Aldrich "Give me a few minutes with him," she replied. After several minutes, she returned to Triton and the boy. "He won't talk, but I'm pretty sure he's a child slave trader," she said sadly. "He's got the tools for it ..." Elrohir Aldrich The boy peeked out from under the griffin's wing. "Is - is they gone?" he asked in a trembling voice. Triton Winters "For now yes," Triton nodded at the boy, "Do you think..." Triton turned to Elnara, "There are other children like him there? They seemed to go through a lot of trouble for just one kid."
Child slave trader, he didn't know they actually existed, Trition supposed, now they did. Elnara Aldrich Elnara picked the boy up - he couldn't have been more than five or six years old - and set him on her lap and hugged him reassuringly. "They probably have at least twenty," she replied quietly. "Unless they've just started collecting. But they can sell the kids for a huge pile of gold - the loss of one is a huge loss to them - but if the kids get away and tell adults where the children have disappeared to - well, then the humans have a bigger problem - immortals on the warpath."

Triton Winters Triton looked a bit thoughtful, he felt bad at the idea that all those children would be taken if it was his mother... well his mother would have a fit, it being his mother after all.
"How far away is the nearest settlement?" Triton asked this time. Elnara Aldrich Elnara thought carefully for a moment. "There are three villages within a few hundred miles," she said slowly, "but all of them are out of our way ... and I can guaranted this boy isn't from any of them." She ran her fingers through his thick black hair. He seemed to have fallen asleep. "He's a Southlander," she murmured. "At the closest, he'll be from the Borderlands; but I'm sure that once he wakes up he can tell us more." She looked around at the two humans who were still lying where Triton had left them. "What are we going to do about them?" she asked. "What if they had more children with them?" Triton Winters Triton sighed, "The only thing we can do, cut them off..."
He kneeled down in front of the boy, so that he was at eye level and therefore seemed less scary.
"Can you tell me in which direction you ran from?" Elrohir Aldrich The boy snuggled closer to the woman's chest and closed his fists on her shirt. He felt safe here ...
He looked into the fighter's eyes and shrugged his tiny shoulders, one after the other. Elnara Aldrich Elnara was surprised when she felt him move: she had thought he was sleeping. But he didn't know which way he had come from ... "We'll have to track them," she said quietly. "Follow their tracks back to where they came from ... unless ..." She tilted her head until she was looking into the boy's face. "Were there more of you?" she asked. Elrohir Aldrich He shook his head and shrugged again. "They," he said, pointing at the two humans. "Dist they." His voice was still trembling. Triton Winters "He's the only one?" Triton asked Elnara, wondering if he heard right.
It was possible, after all he didn't think it was that easy to get a hold of one kid much less many, and if they were going to sell him.... Elnara Aldrich She nodded. "It seems that way, fortunately." She looked down at the boy again. "What about you, are you ok? What's your name?" Elrohir Aldrich He looked up at her, his eyes still filled with fear. "They - they hurte' me," he whimpered, clenching her shirt more tightly. "They hitte' me lots!" Triton Winters "Well.. they won't be hitting anyone for a while," Triton murmured drly as he looked over his shoulder.
Though that meant they were going to have to move camp then, they couldn't stay there, even if chances were they weren't stupid enough to try and face off with them a second time. Elnara Aldrich Elnara stood slowly, lifting the boy with her. "We should move," she murmured. "Did you rest at all?" Triton Winters "Not that much," Triton admitted, "Don't worry though, I'll be fine."
He moves to pack away the blankets and anything else he had taken out for hte night. Elnara Aldrich Elnara knelt and put the boy on the ground. "We have to leave here," she told him, gently prying her shirt from his fingers. "We have to go away from the bad men. We're gonna go where they can't find you any more, ok?" Elrohir Aldrich He panicked as she started to step away. "Take me!" he screamed, grabbing her hand. "Take me take me!" Elnara Aldrich Elnara grabbed her blanket and wrapped it around the terrified child. "We're going to take you home," she said soothingly, hugging him with one arm. "You're gonna be ok." She picked him up and set him on her horse. She thought it would be safest. Then she took her cloak out of her bag and slung it around her shoulders, and swung up behind the boy.

Triton Winters Triton mounted Tao who chripped slightly in the darkness. She trotted up along side Elnara's horse and looked with expected eyes.
"Curiousity..." Triton murmured, "Where is his home?" Elnara Aldrich Elnara rubbed her eyes and shrugged. "He won't even tell me his name." She pulled the hood of her cloak over her head and held the boy close. "He's probably too scared to tell us anything right now. The best we can do is ride and let him rest a bit. Maybe he can tell us more in the morning." She squeezed the horse's sides and it started forward obediently. Triton Winters "Just as well.... it's not like we can do much anyhow tonight," Triton replied, "We'll be able to get more out of it when we're all well rested, and when the sun is up. The fact it's dark doesn't help matters." Elrohir Aldrich The boy turned sideways and put his spindly arms around her waist, burying his face in her chest once more. He felt warm ... it had been a long time since he had been warm ... and when her arms slipped around his shoulders, he felt safe again.
He drifted off into sleep. Elnara Aldrich The rest of the night passed uneventfully, and Elnara realized suddenly that the sun had risen and they were riding directly into it. She swore to herself silently and turned her horse to face a more southerly direction. Well, it was no big deal. She had just been so tired that she couldn't keep awake ... Her eyes stung a bit; apparently she had slept with them open ... now there was something she hadn't done in a while. She realized suddenly that the boy was no longer clinging to her; he was leaning forward on the horse, apparently studying the forest ahead of them. She smiled and looked around for Tao and Triton ... they were almost right beside her. "Hey," she called quietly, "You awake?" Triton Winters "Mrf..." Triton mumbled, he had fallen asleep on Tao again, it was quite amazing he didn't fall off, and Tao had been ambering along just fine for the night. Though she would probably need rest soon though. Elnara Aldrich She laughed quietly. "I think it's safe for us to stop now for a bit," she smiled, pulling her horse to a stop. "We've covered quite a distance." In the wrong direction, thanks to me falling asleep, she added silently. Well, they would only be a few hours out, nothing that couldn't be easily fixed. Triton Winters Tao stopped and laid down even with Triton still on her, so he took the time to dismount and pat her on the back before giving her a good rub down. It looked like she could use it quite frankly. Elrohir Aldrich The boy heard the others talking and turned around and smiled. "Hi hi!" he said cheerfully, his fear of the night before gone. "Lookit!" He pointed ahead at a bush that was covered in berries. "Brekky!" Elnara Aldrich Elnara shook her head. "Poison berries," she told him. "Only good for animals." She slid to the ground and held out her arms to catch the boy. "We have food to share," she told him. "But first I want to know your name." Elrohir Aldrich He left the blanket on the horse and jumped down into her arms.
"Dae-ron," he said slowly, exaggerating each letter as if it were something he'd had to practice. "Dawwen Dawwen Dawwen!" he giggled. As he was set on the ground, he pointed up into her face and said, "Who you?" Triton Winters "I'm Triton," Triton pointed to Elnara, "And that's Elnara."
He rummaged around for some dried fruit he knew was in there, he pulled out a packet of what looked like to him to be... dried mangos. Why dry mangos he wondered, not that he disliked the fruit, but why an unusual fruit? He rummaged again, he had dried bananas too, and apple chips, and... veggie chips?
He blinked. His mother was strange. Elrohir Aldrich "Nara-thêl!" he giggled, poking Elnara's nose. He pointed at Triton. "Titan-tôl!"
He scampered over to Triton and peered into his bag. "What's innere?" he asked, tugging on Triton's cloak. Elnara Aldrich Elnara rubbed her nose and smiled. What a cute kid. She rolled up the blanket he had been using and tucked it back into her bag, then started rubbing down the horse. Triton Winters "Food," Triton replied absently, "Blankets, clothes, weapons, matchs, and who knows what else they put in there," he muttered absently again as he pulled out on top of the other chips, a bag of nuts (almonds), and small package of something labeled rations.
He wrinkled his nose, "I hope that's not the dryfreeze stuff."

Elrohir Aldrich "Titan-tôl, whassat?" Daeron asked, grabbing one of the packages. "Nummy? Good for eating?" He turned it every which way and examined it from every angle. Elnara Aldrich Elnara laughed and joined them. "Was I like this at first?" she asked Triton lightly. Triton Winters "Kind of?" Triton laughed as he took the package Daeron was holding and opened it up before giving it back to him, "Yes it's edible, so don't worry."
Inside where apple chips, thinly sliced apples that were baked, skin and all, which was good, he liked nipping the skin. Elnara Aldrich Elnara laughed. "How ignorant I must have been!" She thought for a moment, then added with a chuckle, "And still am, I'm sure." Elrohir Aldrich Daeron threw some of the apple chips in his mouth and chewed. He pawed through Triton's bag eagerly.
"Oooohhh, losta stuffs in here," he grinned. "Big bag." Triton Winters "Yes, but not for someone to snoop around in," Triton replied as he took his bag out of Daeron's reach, "None of that now."
Tao had already wandered to look for something to eat, like a rabbit or maybe a squirrel... squirrels were good, especially the ones with really fluffy tails. Elrohir Aldrich Daeron sat on the ground and looked up at Triton. "You warm, Titan-tôl?" he asked. He pointed at Triton's cloak and threw some more apple chips in his mouth. "You gonna get hot lata!"
He looked up at him with big brown innocent eyes. Elnara Aldrich Elnara removed her own cloak, but kept silent. Daeron was right, Triton would get very hot later on ... but would Triton be comfortable without his cloak with Daeron around? She had a sudden idea. "Hey Daeron, have you ever seen a kitty?" she asked. Triton Winters "Elnara..." Triton sighed, not like he had a lot to fear from a kid, but still.... it was a long travel and it looked like he was going to have to take the stupid cloak off sooner or later.
"I'll be fine," he mumbled. Elnara Aldrich "We should at least prepare him," she murmured. "It's going to be a strange sight for him ... but I think he's too young to care, after the shock's gone." She watched him watching them in silence. Triton Winters "I know...." Triton sighed, "I should have figured that."
He glanced at the kid, well this was going to be a bit strange, but since they were going to travel together for a long.... long while.... Elnara Aldrich Elnara looked back at Daeron. "You wanna see a person-kitty?" she asked him playfully. When he nodded eagerly, she shapeshifted just long enough to see his reaction, then reverted back to her own form. Elrohir Aldrich He clapped his hands. "Again!" he squealed. "Wanna see it again!" Triton Winters "Well he's amused," Triton said a bit wrly, "And he seems absolutely fine with you."
He sat down crosslegged for a moment before taking another good look around. With a sigh, and a wondering, Triton pulled down his hood, he so needed to stretch his tail.

Elrohir Aldrich Daeron squealed. "Kitty ears!" he cried, jumping up and climbing on Triton's back. He giggled. "I wan' some too! Can I ha' some?" Triton Winters Triton laughed, "I don't think that's going to be possible Daeron."
He couldn't imagine why Daeron would want them, it was too easy to get water in them, his ears hurt at loud sounds and they always twtiched. Elrohir Aldrich Daeron pointed at Elnara. "She gots some that wented away!" he protested. "Why can' I have none?" Elnara Aldrich Elnara laughed. "Oh dear!" she giggled. She walked over to them and ruffled Daeron's hair. "I can do that because I can change what I am," she told him with a smile. "No one else can do that." Triton Winters "Besides," Triton added, "Hearing everything is not fun, trust me..."
He patted Daeron on the head as the popped a few apple chips in his mouth. Elnara Aldrich Elnara laughed. "I don't know if you know how elves hear ..." she commented, sitting down with them. "Our hearing is much like cats' hearing ... we can hear pretty much everything too." She smiled. "Compared to elves, humans are nearly deaf. It's always been so ..." She winked. "Just in case you ever try telling anyone a secret." Elrohir Aldrich Daeron nodded as he finished off his apple chips. "Hears lots," he agreed. "Sometimes daddy says I hears too much things." He jumped to his feet. "Thirsty," he stated. "You gots water?" Triton Winters Triton pulled out a bottle of water, and twisted the lid off thinking that maybe the boys' little hands wouldn't be able too, well his sisters had enough problems with the bottles anyways, he handed it to the kid. Elrohir Aldrich He took it eagerly and sat down once again on the ground, then lifted the bottle to his lips and drank. Some of the water dribbled down his chin, but he didn't seem to notice.
He drank until he ran out of air, then stopped, took a breath, and drank again. Elnara Aldrich Elnara watched in silence. She wasn't worried about depleting their water supply; they would reach the river by nightfall: but she was a little worried that the kid might choke. "Ease up a bit there, Daeron," she murmured. Triton Winters "I don't think they've been watering him," Triton commented as if to make Daeron sound like a plant.
But then again he didn't look like they really fed the kid neither. Elrohir Aldrich Daeron looked up at the comment and raised one eyebrow. "They watered me bad stuff," he said matter-of-factly, lowering the water bottle. "Maked me sick."
He raised the water bottle once more. "This good stuff," he grinned. "Makes me better." Elnara Aldrich Elnara winced. "Poor kid," she murmured. He had obviously been through a terrible ordeal ... she only hoped that he was young enough that it wouldn't have the same effect on him as her ordeal had had on her. Elrohir Aldrich He shook his head. "Not poor. Daddy has losta moneys. Losta shinies." He nodded energetically. "Daddy says, use moneys to help poor peoples, so they not no more poor." Triton Winters Triton wondered what the boy meant by that, but he didn't really want to know enough to ask. Some things were better left off, but at least they could travel easy now. Which was good.
Tao came back from her hunt, with a squirrel tail sticking out of her mouth. One should not ask.

Elnara Aldrich Elnara looked up and saw Tao returning. She smiled. "Well it looks like someone else has finished their breakfast," she commented lightly. "Maybe we'd better rest a bit, eh?" She nodded to Triton. "Go ahead and sleep for a while. You really look like you need it." Triton Winters Triton nodded warily as he let himself lie on the cloak watching Tao finish off the squrriel, she had learnt to not eat anything near other people. Just because it was kind of strange (and distrubing) to watch her eat. She seemed to like squrriel tails for some reason. Elrohir Aldrich Daeron saw something brown and fuzzy sticking out from underneath Triton and moved closer to see what it was. It was a strange, snak-ey thing. He poked it curiously. Triton Winters The tail, which had unraveled itself when Triton decided to lay down flopped lazily against his stomach. In a soft thuding sound that came with the fact he was well, sleeping. Sometimes it would swish back and forth on his stomach, but then thud again. Elrohir Aldrich Daeron jumped back, startled, but within minutes he was back beside Triton, watching the brown furry thing swishing back and forth. Elnara Aldrich Elnara giggled as she watched the curious child playing with Triton's tail. "Better be careful," she warned him quietly, a smile on her face. "You don't want to wake him up." She patted her lap. "Come sit with me," she invited. "So we can talk." Triton Winters The tail swished before thumping off of Triton's stomach onto the cloak covered ground, thudding against the grass almost like a snake beating itself with the ground. Elrohir Aldrich Daeron looked up at her, then crawled into her lap and curled up in a ball. "Whassat?" he asked, pointing at Triton - or more specifically, at the brown thing that kept moving so tantalisingly. Elnara Aldrich She grinned. "That's his tail," she told him. "Just like he has kitty ears, he has a kitty tail too." She brushed some dirt off his face. "You need a good wash," she muttered to herself. Elrohir Aldrich He looked at his hands, then up at Elnara. "Yup," he agreed. "Han's is dirty." He poked her nose again. "Nose dirty too, Nara-thêl!" he giggled. Elnara Aldrich She rubbed her nose. He must have gotten dirt on it when he poked me, she realized, and laughed. "Oh you're such an imp!" she giggled, tickling him. Elrohir Aldrich "Mm-mm!" he giggled, squirming. "Ada says imps en't real! Only stories!" He squealed as Elnara got him in a particularly ticklish spot. Elnara Aldrich She giggled. "And who is your ada?" she asked him. A name would be a great help ... Elrohir Aldrich He looked at her seriously. "My daddy of course!" he answered matter-of-factly. "On'ee my daddy is my ada!" He jumped off her lap and went to play with Triton's tail once more. Elnara Aldrich Elnara sighed. Of course. Ada was the elvish word for Daddy ... but still, if the child knew his father's name ... it would help things so much. And of course, there was the problem of his names for the two of them ...

Elrohir Aldrich Daeron sat beside Triton and giggled every time his tail waved past his face. He grabbed for it a few times, but without success. Then he wriggled down into a crouching position and started muttering to himself.
"Wait ... wait ... wait ... gotcha!" he cried, pouncing on it when it landed on the ground. He giggled and held it up triumphantly. Triton Winters Triton felt constraint for some reason, his eyes flew open as he jerked up only to find that his tail was behing held captive so to speak by the imp of a child.
"You're like a kitten." Elnara Aldrich Elnara laughed. "Come on, Daeron, let Triton sleep!" she called again. "We have to make sure he's strong in case the bad men come back again." Elrohir Aldrich Daeron was pleased with the compliment. "Kitty, kitty!" he giggled. But Elnara's comment caught his attention too, and he sobered right up.
"Bad mans?" he asked. "Don't wannit they come back!" He ran to Elnara and curled up in her lap once more, wrapping his arms around her stomach. "Don't wannit they come back!" he repeated, burying his face in her chest. Elnara Aldrich "Then let Triton-tôl sleep," she replied, hugging him close. She nodded to Triton and mouthed, I'll keep him off you, now get to sleep!"Want to hear a story?" she asked the child. She had no idea why she was suddenly being so motherly, she had never been like this before ... How did she even know how to be like this? Triton Winters Triton chuckled and shook his head at the thought as he laid back down, he closed his eyes, however his ears were turning. They turned to hear Elnara's story, that was the only good thing about cat ears, he could hear what he wanted. Elrohir Aldrich Daeron snuggled down into Elnara's lap and nodded. Elnara Aldrich Elnara smiled. "Once, a long time ago," she began, "before there were any kingdoms in the Four Lands, there was a young girl named Alyse. She was very smart for a young girl, especially considering that she was born a long time after the Valar left the Four Lands and its people to their own devices. She was wise in the ways of the people, and she was very good at stopping arguments." She paused and smiled. This was more than a story; it was family history. "One day," she continued, "there was a big fight among the people that she lived with." Elrohir Aldrich He looked up at her anxiously. "Wha' happened?" he asked, his big eyes filled with anxiety. Elnara Aldrich "Well," she replied, "some of them noticed that they didn't all look the same ... there were some that had hair that shone like the gold they dug out of the earth and made into beautiful objects; and there were those with hair as black as the coal they used to warm themselves at night." Elrohir Aldrich Daeron grinned. "Them're like us!" he giggled. Elnara Aldrich Elnara laughed. "Yes," she agreed. "They are." She paused before continuing on with her story. She noticed that Triton's ears had turned to face her, and wondered if he was listening as well. "They thought that because they looked different, that they were different," she went on. "And because they were different, they thought that one group of them must be better than the other." Elrohir Aldrich "But we's all dist the same, en't we, Nara-thêl?" he interrupted her. Elnara Aldrich She nodded. "You're absolutely right," she agreed. "But they didn't think so. There was a big fight among them, and some of them got hurt. Finally, the wise girl, Alyse, came up with a solution. She said that those who thought they were better than others should find a different place to live, and that she and anyone else who thought that they were all the same would live where they were." Elrohir Aldrich Daeron grinned. "She was smart, wad'n she?" he giggled.

Elnara Aldrich "Yes she was," Elnara replied, ruffling the boy's hair. "She was so smart, in fact, that those who chose to remain there asked her to be their leader. They wanted someone very smart to take care of them." Elrohir Aldrich "An' she becomeded the'r queen, did'n she?" he said proudly. "Ada telled me that too." He grinned. Elnara Aldrich "She sure did!" Elnara laughed. "And she took care of them for ... do you know how long?" She looked down at him, her eyes twinkling with amusement. Elrohir Aldrich He grinned and spread his hands wide. "Whole bunches and bunches or years!" he said enthusiastically. "Losts and losts of years!" Elnara Aldrich She laughed and tickled his sides. "Twenty thousand years," she affirmed, then sighed. "Twenty thousand years ..." She glanced over at Triton to see if he was sleeping yet. Elrohir Aldrich Daeron put one hand on each of her cheeks and turned her head to face him again. "But she lefted," he said seriously, looking up at her with big brown eyes. "She lefted an' then she maked 'nuther lady queen." Elnara Aldrich She smiled softly and nodded. "She made sure it was another smart girl," she agreed. "And she left to find the Golden Shores to find rest at last ..." Elrohir Aldrich He poked her nose again. "Wha's the Goldy Shorze?" he asked. Elnara Aldrich Elnara wrinkled her nose and took his hand gently into her own. "The Golden Shores is where elves go when they get tired and want to leave this land," she explained. "They go to live with the Valar and rest for the rest of time." She grabbed his other hand as it flicked up to poke her nose. Elrohir Aldrich Daeron looked over at Triton. "'Zat where Titan-tôl goed?" he asked. He added, "Looks like Titan-tôl still's here." He looked up into Elnara's face questioningly. "Innee?" Elnara Aldrich She giggled and pressed her forehead to his own. "Not sleepy tired," she laughed; "weary tired." Although she didn't know how she could explain the difference to a child as young as he was. "By the way," she asked curiously, "how old are you?" Elrohir Aldrich He grinned and held up four tiny fingers. "I's this many," he said proudly. "Ammost big enough to go work with Ada." He wriggled a bit until he sat more on Elnara's legs than on her lap.
"Ada says when I gets this many" - he held up four more fingers - "then I can go work wif him. Cos then I's big enough."
He started bouncing. Elnara Aldrich "Ow! Hey!" she cried, pulling her legs closer so that he couldn't bend them backwards. She relaxed slightly. She wondered again where he was from ... from his comment about them all being the same, she guessed from the Eastland ... but then, who knew? If things had changed that drastically in the years since she had left, he could be from pretty much anywhere except the Westland ... "Where does your Ada work?" she asked, hoping for another clue. Elrohir Aldrich "He's a furry," he replied happily, still bouncing on her legs. "He works inna fire. He makes a big fire annen he puts er piece of stick innit an' he hits it annit makes a big knife! Sometimes, even a s'ord!"
He was very proud of his Ada's work. As he bounced on Elnara's legs, his hair bounced on his head, leaving him with a bare forehead, then covered eyes, then a bare forehead, then covered eyes.
"I liked 'em s'ords," he went on happily. "They was pretty pretty. But once, my Ada maked a sh'rp en, an' I cutte' my fingas an' he did'n let me come back afta that."
He paused, then solemnly added, "He's a very good furry." Elnara Aldrich Elnara laughed. "A farrier, eh?" she questioned, eyeing the boy with a new respect. "And you liked the blades he made, huh?" For someone so young, he had experiece with blades ... though from the sound of it, he didn't know exactly what they were for ... Seemed to think that the sword he had cut himself on had been sharp only by accident ...

Elrohir Aldrich Daeron nodded enthusiastically and held his hand in front of Elnara's eyes. "Lookit there!" he exclaimed, pointing at a scar that ran lengthwise across his palm. "There's where I cutte' myself. Ada was'n mad though, he dist was sad and he dist said no more s'ords for me no more, not til I growed big to this many!"
He held up four fingers on each hand once more. Kara Winters Triton's bag wiggled, it wasn't a sudden wiggle where it was having a spazz attack, but rather it was wiggling like it had something like worms in it's person. If it was a person for that matter. Sometimes it would stop, and then it would start up again... and then it would stop. Elnara Aldrich The movement caught Elnara's eye, and she blinked, uncertain if it had actually moved or if she was just seeing things. ... maybe she needed to sleep some more too. Elrohir Aldrich Daeron noticed that he no longer had Elnara's attention and followed her gaze. He jumped when he saw Triton's bag moving, then slid off Elnara's lap and skittered closer. He put his face right beside the bag as if trying to look through the material, then poked it curiously. Kara Winters Wiggle, wiggle, went the bag until the clasp came undone and little eyes peered out from in the darkness of the bag. It blinked and stared back at the little elf boy. Elrohir Aldrich Daeron squealed and jumped back.
"Sumpin's innere!" he screamed, pointing at the bag and the eyes that were poking out. "Nara-thêl! Sumpin's innere!" Elnara Aldrich Elnara grabbed Daeron and hugged him reassuringly. "It's ok," she soothed him, looking at the eyes that were poking out of the bag. "I'm sure it won't hurt you." She had no idea what it was, but if it had come in Triton's bag, then it had likely come from his home ... and she hoped that meant that it was harmless. Kara Winters "I'm not a something," the voice replied, "I am a onething, because to say some means there is more than one me, but there is only one me, so I'm a onething."
A snout poked out of the bag and sniffed the air. Elnara Aldrich Elnara was amazed. Whatever was in there - it was talking! And it was quite logical, too ... to the point of being illogical. "Well why don't you come out here and join us, onething?" she asked, more than slightly amused. "We'd like to meet you, and to ask you why you've been hiding in Triton's bag." She sat on the ground and held Daeron in her lap, wondering what sort of creature this was going to turn out to be. Elrohir Aldrich Daeron leaned closer to the strange snout. "What's you?" he asked curiously. "What is you, onefing? An' why's you talking?"
He reached out with one finger and tentatively poked the little nose that was sticking out of the bag. Kara Winters The snout shorted before coming out, which was the most unusual little creature ever. She (for it was a femiine looking creature) had golden hooves and firely coloured fur and scales, with a fluffy ended tail. Her ears would make people thing of a cat, only more fluffy, (perhaps like a horse?), and she had a curved horn growing out of her forehead.
"I'm talking because the speech fairies are putting words into my mouth, and I am creature who is here and not here, because people don't really think I exist so therefore I'm not here, but since I'm here talking I'm also here." Elnara Aldrich Elnara blinked. She tried over and over to make sense of what the little furball was saying ... but it seemed impossible. "Well, I can see you," she said finally, one eyebrow raised; "so you're here ... and you are talking, so you're here ... so you must be here then," she logicked. "And I believe you exist, because I see you, so therefore you exist?" Hee. Now that was confusing. But it was so cute! Elrohir Aldrich Daeron jumped off Elnara's lap and scooted around behind the funny-looking creature. He examined it thoroughly, circling it slowly, trying to make sense of it. He hadn't understood a word it said, so he didn't even bother trying.
"What's you?" he asked again. "You's pretty." He tugged on her fluffy tail and giggled. "You gots a tail like Titan-tôl, is you a cat-man too?" Kara Winters "Cat-man?" the little thing looked horrified, though not really (more like she was pretending to be), "I'm no man, but I would be female so a woman, but I'm not of man of any sense, so would that make me just a 'wo'?"
She danced a few steps away from Daeron's hands so her tail wouldn't be grabbed again.
"Or perhaps I'm a horse, or a snake, or a goat, or maybe all three? Maybe I'm a ball without a paddle, or maybe I'm a Kirin pretending to be a ball." Elnara Aldrich "He's not a cat-man," she corrected him with a smile. "Triton's a Neko."

Elrohir Aldrich Daeron squealed with delight. "Funny!" he giggled. He pointed at the furball's horn. "I know what you's!" he said triumphantly. "You's a unercorn! They's gots a horn too!"
He stopped and thought about Elnara's comment. "Neko?" he asked. "I do'n gots a Neko, he wented to a hallway."
His eyes widened with sudden delight. "C'n Titan-tôl be my Neko?" he asked eagerly. "I wants a Neko! All the other kids gots Nekos!" Elnara Aldrich The last thing the furball said was the only thing that made any semblance of sense to Elnara, so she ran with it. "What's a Kirin?" she asked. "And why would a Kirin pretend to be a ball?" She tried to shush Daeron so that she could hear - and hopefully understand - the furball's answer. Kara Winters "Because people let balls sleep, and only bothers balls when they're awake and being patience," the little thing replied impishly, "Kirins though are different things they're the creatures that don't really exist, but they exist." Elnara Aldrich Elnara decided to try a different tactic. "What is your name?" she asked directly. Surely there was no way to confuse such a simple question. Elrohir Aldrich Daeron pouted. He wanted to be the center of attention, or at least have a part in it!
He scampered over to Triton and practically jumped on him.
"Titan-tôl!" he hollered. "Hey! R'you be my Neko? All th'other kids gots Nekos, r'you be my Neko?"
He poked Triton's nose impatiently. Kara Winters Triton jerked awake thinking he was being attacked until he realized it was Daeron. He blinked trying to get rid of the sleep from his eyes not realizing fully what Daeron was saying. His eyes drifted to Elnara to as if to ask what was going on until he saw.
"Nina!" Triton sat up suddenly, forgetting about Daeron, "What in the hell are you doing here?""I am here because I am," Nina replied, "Can you blame me if the cotton caccoon was sealled tightly by protection and light, or the fact the Kirin ball decided to sleep for a sun and a moon?" Elnara Aldrich Elnara breathed a silent sigh of relief. So Triton did know the furball ... that just left a few questions. "How did she get here?" she asked. "And what on earth is she?!" She didn't mean to sound to angry, but she was a little frustrated with the non-answers that she had been receiving. Elrohir Aldrich Daeron blinked. He was still being ignored. He poked Triton's nose again. "What's is?" he asked. "Silly furball sleeped in you's bag!" Kara Winters "Yea, you got it right," Triton patted Daeron on the head, "She fell asleep in the bag, I guess I didn't notice, but not like it felt any heavier or lighter," he mused at this thought.
He gave a glare at the little Kirin.
"She's a Kirin, or unicorn, call her what you like, we think her cloud didn't hold her up right when she was an egg." Elnara Aldrich Elnara watched the Kirin thoughtfully. "And how did she end up in your bag?" she asked. "Do you think she'll be safe here? I mean, Tao can obviously take care of herself ... but ... Nina, did you say she was called? How can she defend herself?" And then she looked at Daeron and realized suddenly that if anything happened, he would have to be defended as well ... She grimaced. How complicated things could get when all she wanted to do was go home and see her family again! Triton Winters "She probably wandered in and fell asleep, she sleeps at lot at this stage of her life when she's not sprouting off twisted sentences," Triton muttered, "If all else fails I can stuff her back in during trouble, it's not like it's going to make the bag any heavier anyhow." Elnara Aldrich Elnara was relieved to hear this. "Does she ever say anything that makes any sense at all?" she asked. "Or is she always this confusing?" Kara Winters Nina looked up at Elnara and blinked with wide eyes.
"Confusing? What is so confusing, all you need to do is take the here and leave the there and you get something perfectly unconfusing. It just takes time to unravel the knots and dump the scraps." Triton Winters Triton shook his head, naturally it would make all sense to Nina.
"Always," he replied drly giving her a look, "She's never said anything that doesn't seem illogical, you just need to know what to take as her actual answers and which is just rambling, and then try to make sense of the riddle."
He blinked and paused, "Which is just what she just said." Elnara Aldrich Elnara giggled. "Well then I guess I'll just have to start thinking again," she joked. Ouch ... it seemed she had a headache starting.

Elrohir Aldrich Daeron snuck up behind the furry little Kirin and poked her curiously.
"Why c'n you talks?" he asked. "Aminals en't s'posed to talks. Did you comed with Titan-tôl? " Kara Winters "Well then I mustn't be an animal then," Nina replied back to Daeron a matter of factly, "After all if animals aren't suppose to talk, then I can't be an animal because I talk. So therefore I'm not an animal."
She paused and then added as if to answer his other question.
"I came, I saw and I left."
Or not. Elrohir Aldrich He giggled and rocked back and forth on his behind. "You funny!" He pointed at Nina and tried to poke her nose again. Elnara Aldrich Elnara looked around at their group and sighed, smiling. "It looks like maybe we should have taken that other horse that Aunt Amalthea offered after all," she chuckled. "As it is, we're short on blankets ... I only have the one. Plus my cloak, but it's not a warm cloak at all." Triton Winters "It's not like Nina gets cold," Triton eyed the firely coat which spoke of her born element, "But she just gets weirder over time, if that's even possible. Nina can ride in the bag, it's not like her chattering is going to drive Tao nuts or anything." Kara Winters Nina twitched her nose going cross eyed trying to look at it before looking back at Daeron, "Am I? I thought I was a Kirin." Elrohir Aldrich Daeron squealed with laughter. "Silly Kirin!" he giggled, clapping his hands. "Silly speakies fairies! Making silly Kirin talks funny things!"
He dropped to his stomach and put his face right in front of hers, then nudged himself forward and poked her nose with his own. Elnara Aldrich "Well perhaps we'd best be moving then," she said, glancing up at the sky. "We lost a lot of time already ... we may not make it to the river by nightfall after all." Triton Winters "One more day won't kill us," Triton replied, "But we can keep going."
He mounted Tao again but not before reaching over and plucking the silly Kirin by the nape of her neck.
"Come on, back into the bag before you cause more trouble." Elrohir Aldrich The child jumped to his feet. "I gets to ride the horsey 'gin?" he asked, eyes bright with excitement. "Ada never letted me ride a horsey 'cos I falled off when I was little, when I was only this many!"
He held up three fingers and waved them in Elnara's face. Elnara Aldrich Elnara waved Daeron's hand out of her face and blushed slightly. "You're right," she admitted. "One day wouldn't matter ..." She paused. "It's just ... I guess I'm just used to moving constantly, never staying in one place for too long ..." She shrugged. "It's strange to have a destination and have no particular hurry to get there." Kara Winters Nina popped her head out of the bag letting her little hooves hang over. She blinked as she wagged her tail back and forth.
"The destination won't run away, it can't run away because the ground has it anchored, but it's good to hurry anyways because time steals things away when you're not looking." Elnara Aldrich Elnara nodded and hoisted Daeron up onto the horse. For once she understood exactly what Nina meant. She had only been gone one solar month, and in that time five years of her life had been stolen from her. Who knew what might have happened during that time? Elrohir Aldrich "Nara-thêl, why you looks sad?" Daeron asked, leaning down so that his face was close to hers. "You was happy dist before!" Elnara Aldrich She blushed. Were her thoughts always that evident? "I was just thinking," she replied, throwing her bag over her shoulder and mounting the horse behind him. "What about you, what do you think about?" she asked, trying to change the subject.

Kara Winters "Oh! I know! I know!" Nina nipped, "The word bugs have stolen the smile, they buzz around you see, you can hear them they're very loud. If you give her your lips right on the tip of her nose her smile will come zooming back, because the lips can do anything. Lips are amazing things really they are smack and the lips can steal a smile and give it back." Triton Winters "Coming from someone who doesn't have lips," Triton rolled his eyes and pushed Nina into the bag, "Now stop ranting or I'll muzzle you Nina, this is going to be a long trip."
In so many more ways than one. Elrohir Aldrich Daeron however wanted to see if Nina's advice would work, and he twisted around and kissed Elnara's nose before she could react. Elnara Aldrich She blushed and laughed. "Daeron!" she cried. "You're so silly!" Or maybe it was Nina who was silly ... well, that was a given. Though Triton was right, if things continued the way they were, it was going to be a very long journey. Elrohir Aldrich He giggled and poked her nose. "Smiled!" he laughed. "Silly speaks furball right! Nara-thêl smiled!" Kara Winters "Yes yes! Silly furball speaks rightly!" Nina paused, "Wait, that's me isn't it?"
She blinked again before singing.
"Silly furball speaking speaking, just like a bird is tweeting tweeting, will you give me a sweetling sweetling? Because I'm glad for this meeting meeting." Triton Winters "Good god..." Triton groaned, "Whoever gave you to Mom should be shot," he shook his head, he wondered if there was anyway to sedate her. Elrohir Aldrich Daeron laughed and clapped his hands again. "Pretty song! Pretty song!" he squealed. "Sing 'gin!"
He tried to copy it.
"Silly furball speaksies birds, nummy nummy nice meets her!" he sang, and laughed wildly. Elnara Aldrich Elnara looked over at Triton with half-closed eyes. "What was that you said about an extra day not killing us?" she questioned, raising one eyebrow. Triton Winters "If you want to be techinical," Triton started, "It isn't the extra day that's going to kill us, it's Nina teaching Daeron how to talk like her."
He sighed and rubbed his temples.
"On the bright side she'll evenually go to sleep, she's still at the stage where she needs sleep, so as long as she doesn't grow out of it we'll be fine." Elnara Aldrich "Technicalities, technicalities!" she laughed. She urged her horse to go a bit faster. "I sure hope Tao ended up getting enough rest!" Elrohir Aldrich "Tekkies, tekkies!" Daeron repeated. "Nina speaksies funny talks. Wannit learn speaksies like Nina." Kara Winters "But then the speech fairies will bother you, do you really want that with fairies buzzing your ears with nosense that makes sense?"
Her ears flapped abit happily, please to find someone who liked to be talking with her, because she looked to talk.
"Not that sense makes sense." Elrohir Aldrich "Senses, senses," Daeron nodded. "Fairies lefted long times ago, my Ada says, but now I c'n learn talking speaksies from Nina Pina."
He giggled, proud of his rhyme. He had thought of it all by himself. "Nina Pina Tina Rina Mina Lina!" he laughed. Elnara Aldrich Elnara groaned and held her head in her hands. It was going to be a loooong ride. She crossed her fingers and hoped that Nina would fall asleep soon and sleep for the next two days as well.
