"The information...isn't there?" Tyson looked perplexed, but it hit him when he thought back to what the bespectacled teen had said. "Oh."
The stormy-eyed teen ran a hand through his dark blue bangs. "I know the table had nothing to do with it, Rei..." he went on, sagging against his chair. "But... I-I just can't stand this, not knowing where to go, what to do...having nothing to go on..." He sighed for what seemed the umpteenth time that day. "It's...just really frustrating...and I know you guys're frustrated, too..."
C'mon, Kai... Tyson thought, chin resting in the palm of his hand. Where could you have gone...?

((Ok. Don't feel the need to comment on that one. I like thinking out loud so other people can a) Help improve on my ideas or b) Call me an a**l retentive who should stop being such a control freak. But, silence works))
Rei frowned, leaning over and picking up another cookie before proffering it to Tyson. "We're all frustrated, Tyson." He said with a smile. "Just let the Chief do his technophile thing and we'll wait for Hilary, 'kay?"
"Hey!" Kenny mumbled, already deep in the process of trying to find more information about the website and the person who had posted on it. "I resent that." He said as his body relaxed into a position of deep concentration, his hand tapping furiously at the keyboard.

"Want a go?" Oliver asked, looking over his shoulder at Johnny. "My arms are getting tired and kneading bread is actually great for working off tension."
"Only you could think of baking as a form of stress relief." Johnny told Oliver, rolling his eyes and taking over from the Frenchman. "It actually smells ok."
"Am I to take that as you were a skeptic of my superior cooking Talent?"
Johnny smirked. "Something like that." He said, mimicking Oliver

((As I said in the other RP, Gomen, but I had to put rather a higher priority on John's injuries than on Rping.... Sorry.....))
Bryan snorted. While he wouldn't deny he'd have enjoyed punching his blue-haired teammate at times, even he wasn't stupid enough to try it.
Tala sighed and rubbed his temples. "It's unlike Kai to miss a meeting though, without saying anything, even if he isn't hurt.... Is there a possility he could be being blackmailed by someone, Tyson? Rei? Someone who might be after the Bladebreakers, or Kai specifically?"
Before any of them could reply, Kenny's computer beeped. It seemed whoever had posted the sighting had gotten back to them relatively quickly.
I dunno; my sister said she saw him get in a van last week. Was al lthe post said.

"I know, Rei, I know..." Tyson said agreed, though it was rather halfhearted a statement. He took the proffered cookie and bit into it, not really tasting it anymore.
And suddenly, Kenny's laptop beeped. Curious, Tyson leaned over to read the message that had popped up.
"...'saw him get in a van last week.'" the stormy-eyed teen read out. "Someone spotted Kai just last week?!" A little of the frustration and despair vanished, to be replaced with a tiny amount of hope. "That means he may still be somewhere close!"

Let's see...that day, I was going towards the park, so to I should go in the opposite direction... Hilary was still trying to retrace her steps the day she'd overheard that bit of info about Kai's whereabouts. So far, the neighborhood looked familiar, and she was pretty sure she'd gotten quite lost that time.
If only I'd stopped to ask that time... the auburn-haired girl thought regretfully. If I'd thought to ask...well...we wouldn't be worried like this...

Tala rolled his eyes at the overloud bluenette. "Think, Tyson, a week is a long time. He could be anywhere by now; we need something more recent."
Bryan nodded and glanced out of the area. The brown-haired girl sure had taken her sweet time....

A figure shrouded in a brown robe stood against a storefront as Hillary passed by. Several onlookers stared both at the stranger's unual garb and at the chocolate-haired girl; -who was so lost in thought she was very nearly muttering to herself- and looked quite lost.

Tyson scowled. "Well, sorry for trying to be a bit more optimistic. Unlike some people..." Out of anger, he grabbed another cookie and chomped on it. Geez...talk about being a wet blanket...
The stormy-eyed teen glanced out the window. It had been at least fifteen minutes; where had Hilary gone?

I turned left somewhere around here... Hilary glanced around, trying to pinpoint her location, ...but the question is: where exactly did I turn left?
She stopped short suddenly as a strange feeling ran through her. The thin hairs at the back of her neck prickled; it felt almost like she was being...watched.
Hilary whipped around, dark brown hair flying with the sudden movement, and looked left and right, searching for any sign of whoever had been watching her - if she was indeed being watched. To her chagrin, there was no one.
My imagination's getting the better of me... The auburn-haired teen thought, returning her attention to retracing her steps - if she still could. Thinking about Kai and his disapearance is making me paranoid, I think...

Kenny scowled in frustration at the message and shut the lid of his laptop. "That was the only lead I could find." He said with only a hint of a pout in his voice. "Can I have one of those cookies, Tyson?"
"But Hilary didn't mention when she heard those guys talking about Kai." Rei said. "That might have been the most recent clue." He offered. "Maybe we should ask that guy where he was at least. That'd be a starting point, wouldn't it?" He looked over at Tala.

Johnny poked the pile of dough. "It's moving." He muttered. "That can't be natural."
"Welcome to the world of bread." Oliver said, shooing the redhead out of the way as he began searching through the cupboards to find an appropriate container. "We have to leave it for a while now so it can rise."
"How the hell do you know this?" Johnny asked, moving to the far corner of the kitchen.
"Picked it up while you were busy making eyes at anything that moved."
"That's a vague time frame you've got there."
"Can't actually remember so figured that was a safe bet."
"Ouch. I'm going to go back outside now and leave you to your... bread."
"Appreciated." Oliver twinkled at the redhead, finding the container he wanted and beginning the meticulous process of filling the middle with cheese and bacon.

"Sure, Chief. Here." Tyson said, handing two or three cookies to the bespectacled teen. Then he turned his attention back to the redheaded Russian.
"And Rei's got a point, Tala; Hilary did forget to mention when she heard those guys talking. Guess all we can do now is wait and hope for the best, huh?"
