My first slash experience was about four years ago, and it was Joshtin (JC Chasez and Justin Timberlake from Nsync) I was actually looking for a JC/Britney story, yuck! I can't believe I just admitted that, and I stumbled upon Joshtin. Since then I've become so obsessed I read more fandoms than I can keep up with.

My very first was when Simon and... - can't remember his name - left Eastenders and they kissed, I was pretty young but I remember thinking that's so cute! Also at the time I had no idea how two guys could "get it on" and so assumed they couldn't. redface So I always thought that two men must really love each other to be together because all guys are obsessed with sex! ^ ^
I got into fanfiction when I read a slashy Gundam Wing songfic (I was searching for song lyrics), it was unbelievably tame but I was amazed stuff like that existed. So anyway I read a load more GW slash (always in the hope that Wufei wouldn't spend the entire fic having a nose bleed! Lol) and was hooked before I knew what was happening!

My first encounter with yaoi... in grade 7 I think... when Kaoru-chan told me about fanfiction... and how she wrote Yuugiou yaoi. I nearly gagged and ran away... but then she forced me to read a yaoi story and the addiction grew... all the way 'til now... I love yaoi so much... totally corrupted by Kaoru-chan... and I thank her. wink

i cant remember when was my first yaoi or slash encounter, but i remember it was great!!
maybe the first one was with sakura card captor. almost every character has something to do with yaoi!

My first exposer was (and omg, i feel old) was when I was 13 years old (which would be 8 years ago gonk ). It was when my family took a trip to Diseny World and the first day we were there it was Gay Pride Day. So I was surrounded by a bunch of guys that were holding hands and kissing. And I loved it.
The first slash fanfic I ever read was Nick/Brian from the Backstreet Boys. In my english course me and my friends got done with our project early so we had a free day in the library. Being the little 14 year olds that we were we started to look up BSB websites. We stumbled upon Nick Carter is Confused which was a fanfic/parody of Nick being in love with Brian. We read the whole thing in class. My friends were like "Gross!" but thought it was funny but I loved it. I went home and reread it, and then started searching for other fic like it.
Ever since then I've been a huge slasher. Every show, movie, etc. that I get involved in it's there.

My mother...She's into Yaoi and always has been. She would find yaoi from friends or random people.I would ask to read them and she let me read the mild ones. I was about 5 then. My first encounter with the major stuff was my mom again and with the movie Rocky Horror Picture Show. It's a cult film but it had plenty of Yaoi in it for a 6 year old. I'm currently 17 and have been writing yaoi for my family for about 10 years.

That's so cool that you mom got you into Yaoi.
I watched Rocky Horror with my mom for the first time to though. But that's about as far as any desire in Yaoi goes for her.

My first time was when I was surfing the web and went to keenspace.com. I was looking at the comics and I found one called Glamour Lust. I was looking at the art and there was a folder call "Yaoi." I wanted to see what it was and I got it right there! It was so much fun!! heart

Well, let's see. I've had gay friends for like... forever... but I guess taht doesn't count. lol. My first encounter with yaoi was way back in like, elementry school with Zoicite and Malichite from Sailor Moon. I was like, woo! gay people! lol ^^ My first yaoi title was.... *ponders* I think Fake.... Up.. I'm pretty sure it was, since it was one of the first yaoi titles to come out in the us. And now my collection has grown. I've got Fake, Gravi, Yami no Matsuei, Eerie Queerie (Gohst), Hands Off, Just about all of the yaoi titles by Be Beautiful and DMP (at least what they've put out so far), and a few others in japanese. It's so fun! *pets her collection* and of course

Ok, I just wrote a really long post, but I forgot to copy and paste it, and the page cannot be displayed thingy came up. So I lost it. So, short version:
At age 11 - Stumbled onto a Spike/Xander fanfic. Liked it and looked for more slash.
At age 12 or 13 - Found out best friend likes slash too. We send each other slashy links and fanart.
At age 14 - Read first shonen-ai manga, Fake.
Yay. whee
