I've only heard of 'Dan Ta' before... sweatdrop
And 'Buo ba'???
I've never even heard of all those stuff you've mentioned...
Except for pocky xd

Eh.. I could have sworn it was pronounced as Dan Tang. Dan as in egg, and Tang as in candy. Egg candy? I dunno. xD. My mandarin is just that bad. Anyhow, Dan Tang or whatever is egg custard. You know, like at those chinese resteraunts. If you scroll up a little, there's a picture of it.

Oh, oh...
Now I know...
Haha, got a bit mixed up with the 'yin diao' xd

Do you speak English or Chinese at home?

Both. We have a nanny that cooks and stuff for us, and unfortunately, she can only understand Chinese. Dx. I think its a ploy set up by my parents to force me to speak in Chinese.

My parents will talk to me in Chinese, but I'll respond in English.

So basically, I can understand it just fine, but I can't seem to find the proper words to form my sentences in order to have a conversation that isn't at the level of a 1st grader.

...wouldn't it be kind of hard to go to school in Beijing? I thought that they were learning simplified Chinese. Unless you guys are learning simplified in Europe too?

Then the only other problem is the accent that they have.. but you could probably understand too, I bet. :B.

And I want to learn simplified! Dx. We have to stick with the traditional. Gaaah.

When I was in China, there was this sign on the wall. We were reading it, and it said, 'shiao xing pong ___.' We were debating what the last character said.

"It looks like a da!"
"But there are two of the dashes in the corner."

It took us like 5 minutes to realize it said 'tou.'

End of short story. ;D
