Are you serious?

You remind of those "tl;dr" people in the GD. >>
PostPosted: Tue Jan 23, 2007 7:05 pm

Sorry, Neko's weird like that.

And what does "tl;dr" mean?

Lol @ speaking in the 3rd person.

tl;dr = Too long; Didn't read

Ehh, I'm like that on school assignments, but I read mostly everything else.

I do that a lot. sweatdrop Sephie has concluded that I can't go a day without talking in third person.

And thank you for the translation.

I usually forget... Damn. I'm supposed to be reading a book right now...

Bye!

And I should be studying for my Chemistry final tomorrow.

Ugh, that test is gonna rape me. In 5 places.

( Math rapes me in 10 D: .)

Maybe I should type a lot of stuff. I'd type so much that you'd have to read so much text just to get what I'm trying to say.

Then you wouldn't read what I say.

Lines and lines of heavy text. I should try to do that all the time. Elaboration. Try to explain as much as possible, then when you're totally confused and bamboozled, your eyes will glaze over the entire post and you might fall unconscious altogether.

But that won't happen anytime soon, if ever. If I keep doing this, maybe Neko won't talk to me. Or maybe she will? I don't know. But it would be funny if I continued to type posts as long as my journal entries.

I will always read what you say.

Your long posts excite me. Srsly.

Well I don't aim to bore you all. Just Neko.

I'm glad that my long and hard posts excite and stimulate you. It gives me great pleasure to tickle your senses with what skills my fingers have.

On a different note, I would like to get a Paypal account. Well, I won't get it anytime soon because I don't earn enough money to support myself, but maybe when I get a job sometime later, I can get a Paypal account, analyze what income I have, allot some couple of dollars for donations to Gaia, and voila! Donation items. Monthly Collectibles.

But when I think about it, I don't think that I'll be on Gaia when I'm 30. Or 25. I don't know. Gaia has always been like this place for me to talk with other people like you, but when I go out into the real world (that sounds scary), I won't need to be on the Internet as much as I am now. That scares me, the thought of me not talking to you all as much later on. I guess life pulls us away from other things sometimes; it can't be helped.

But a thirty-year-old on Gaia? Sounds ridiculous, right? Yes, there are some adults on Gaia, too, but how many are there? A handful? A couple hundred? This is out of the total user base of nearly six million users. Okay, fine, maybe 3 million, since half of them are probably mules and people who quit. That's a few of us. To think that there will still be people to talk to.

"Hello there."
"asl"
"30/m/us"
"..."

Gaia Online is geared toward the younger generation. You folk. I feel so old; even though I am a high school senior (and there are many, many of us here), I don't feel like I fit into Gaia Online anymore. I feel like a deformed puzzle piece: I used to fit, but thanks to constant wear and tear, I don't anymore.

Ooh, hey, this is becoming another mini-journal entry. Just imagine me talking to myself. Yes, that's a journal. I shall stop here.

I understand where you're coming from, Xumbra.

I'm so afraid of the real world. I hate talking or associating with strangers. I get completely shy and feel like everyone stares at me and thinks I'm weird.

But I don't get that feeling on the Intarwebs Internet. I feel comfortable talking to you guys and I feel like you guys wouldn't be ones who'd prejudge me.

What will I do when age, work/ family obligations, and other things keep me away from the security blanket on the Internet?

I don't think I'll be on Gaia as a 30/ 25 year old, but I'll try to stay on as long as I still have friends.
( IRC isn't directed at a specific age group, so that's good.)

I probably could churn out posts as long as Xumbra's, but they won't be exciting.

Do you have something against me? I'm trying so hard to read through you guys' posts.

Oh, my posts aren't exciting, I'll assure you that. They just tend to transition from me explicating a theme I have developed into a rant that has runaway from its owner's mouth to the stage that is the world. Of course, such speeches and posts are embellished with what fine bullshittery bullshit I can muscle in.

Teehee. Bullshittery. I made a funny.

I am not entirely afraid of the real world, but I am more afraid of the real world than I am afraid of this Internet. To me, the Internet is my home. Gaia is my home. #ennui is my home. Here, I can talk to my friends, laugh, tell jokes, make cutesy pictures for you guys and myself, scan my writing, upload videos, make loads of innuendos, and whatnot. 'Tis a disappointment that I cannot dump what excess waste I collect in my rectum on the Internet. I'd love to take a dump in an e-toilet.

If that were only possible. At least you can delete e-feces.

IRC is not directed toward a specific age group, thank goodness. However, most people using IRC are generally older. Why, you ask? There's the ever-so-trendy AIM, Yahoo, MSN, ICQ (or what have you) for us teenagers with angst-inducing hormones. These instant messaging clients are easy to use and reliable; why switch to IRC when you already have something that works? IRC works too, and there are loads of functions on it that aren't applicable and are missing on other instant messaging clients, but chances are that nobody is going to switch just for these features. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I have nothing against you, Neko. But if I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me? You know me and how I like to joke around every now and then. I write long, long posts just to make your eyes glaze over. Maybe if Gaia develops a way for me to post flashing yellow text, I could make you blind. Okay, maybe you can develop cataracts or something. But this is all in good jest, Neko. Do not be disturbed by the sheer amount I have written. Half of it is bullshit, anyway.
