He smiled at her, “usually I’m passed out somewhere under a tree at sunrise, but I do adore the sunsets.” He shook his mane making the long strands shift back and forth across his powerful neck. He yawned softly and shook his coat trying to get the flies attacking him. They annoyed the snot out of him, he finally looked ahead closing his eyes once he let the sound of her hoof beats lead him as they walked together through the land.
Words he wished he could say raced through his mind like angry bees but he kept them locked away unsure if it was the right time to speak his mind so openly to her about the feelings racing through him at this moment.

Nyx laughed lightly and nodded. "Yes, fair enough. Night is the best time for our sort but I find myself awake and asleep at all different hours so that I get a chance to talk to the Nequus who wake during the day as well as those who prefer the light of the stars.” The mare's short tail smacked swiftly against her rump, dislodging a fly that had thought to take a bite out of her. They seemed to be everywhere tonight.
"Shall we run for a bit?" the splotched creature suggested. "We might be able to leave a few of these little bloodsuckers behind and plus we'll get to the border so we can start our tour sooner." Nyx didn't add that it would also be most pleasing to see all those strong muscles flowing in a gallop. That thought she planned to keep to herself.

Hasani grinned like a little foal whom had suddenly had a pile of sugar cubes pushed in front of him and given the go ahead to dig in. “I’d love to gallop,” that besides the night was one of his favorite things in life, it was about as close to flight as he could seem to get. A grin broke out over his muzzle and he slowed his muscles tensing up under his coat like a bunch of huge steel wires being drawn tight.
He smiled at her and suddenly took off like a shoot, he could go faster but was keeping it a little slower for her to see how fast she could go. The wind picked up his mane and tail, whipping them behind his hulking body like sparking flames dancing for the sight of anyone nearby as the reached up to the stars.

Nyx grinned to herself and took off after him like an arrow loosed from a bow. Her long legs and relatively slim build for one of her kind had always made her fast, though is hampered her in anything that required raw power. At that moment however, with the wind rushing in her ears and the pleasure of stretching her legs, she couldn't have cared less about strength. Speed was the thing and far more enjoyable than being able to push heavy things around.
"Come on then," she called cheerfully as she first drew level with and then passed the other Aeri. From his stride, he'd been taking it easy so far, doubtless to see if she could keep up or not. The brightly splotched mare smiled to herself; confidant that she could at least match whatever this dark-bodied stallion had to offer.

Grinning in delight Hasani lengthened his strides, his legs started pumping the ground like pistons driving the huge stallion forward. The world was a blur around them as he galloped beside Nyx. His heart was pounding in his ears partly from the gallop and partly from actual joy that reflected in his red orbs.
The stallion suddenly leaped and kicked his heels out in mid air. He landed with a thud and never missed a beat in their gallop. Suddenly he grinned at Nyx and throw his head up and down and dug his hooves into the earth he pushed himself even faster. His muscles were straining and rippling beneath his dark coat making it look like the sea on a moonless night.

Nyx grinned and stretched her own stride to keep level with the dark-coated stallion's increased efforts. This was more fun than she'd had in a good while; it wasn't often she got the chance to just run, let alone beside someone like Hasani.
"We're nearly there!" she called needlessly; the other Aeri would be able to see the approaching mound with his own eyes.
The Aeri mare smiled softly to herself, the gentleness of the expression at odds with the frenzied pounding of her hooves. She could spend many nights thus engaged, just doing simple things with the owner of those wonderfully alive red eyes. Provided the stallion turned out to be all he seemed of course. That he might not be didn't even cross the splotchy coated Nequus' mind however; she was far too absorbed with the rush of speed and instant attraction reciprocated.

He smiled at her and set his hooves into the dirt to slow himself down. He flicked his tail after coming to a halt and smirked at Nyx. He looked aorund his eyes takeing in everything, he didn't miss a single thing about the land and commited it all to his memory.
He meandered around sniffing here and there, nudging a rock and basically just exploring. His log tail fanned out as it drug across the ground almost like a wedding dress train.

Nyx smiled at her new acquaintance’s interest in the immediate area. "Right; which way shall we go first?" the splotched mare asked. "Would you rather pass the river first or last is a better question I suppose," she amended after a moment, feeling a bit silly for expecting a stranger to the lands to be able to choose which way to go.
The tall Aeri swished her short tail absentmindedly, her gaze on the flowing hair that Hasani possessed. Long mane and tail probably wouldn't have suited her, she considered, but that didn't mean she didn't feel a little jealous watching the silky midnight-blue flow. Still, if it were on her she wouldn’t be able to appreciate it, which was some consolation.

He twitched he silken strands back and forth across his rump for a moment then smiled at her. "I'm not to sure... you know where your oing far better than i do." He moved back twoards her, he moved slowly with a relaxed easy gate.
He paused watching the blue splotched mare with alittle more than just intruige within the bloody depths of his eyes. Twitching his wings for a moment he stretched them out letting the wind rush past them.

Nyx smiled shyly at the look in her companion's eyes but managed to keep her aplomb. "Right; I'm a little thirsty myself so heading towards the river sounds good." Decision made, the Aeri mare turned about and set off at an easy walk along her familiar route.
"I hope you'll get on with my friends," the splotched mare said after a while. "None of them are especially antisocial, though the elders can get a bit grumpy at times. They're seldom really angry or rude, they just think that everyone should listen to them because they're old and wise and such." Nyx smiled and shook her head. "You get used to it; they're wonderful really."

He chuckled softly "i'm not hard to get along with," he shook his mane walking slowly beside her. Rustling his wings he tossed his mane over to the other side of his neck letting the long silken strands fall gracefully down.
As they reached the stream he wadded in alittle and lowered his muzzle he drank from the cold water. He watched Nyx from the corner of his eye even as he drank.

Nyx smiled faintly and nodded to the stallion's words. He certainly did seem easy to be around and she found herself doubting that any real objections to his presence would be raised. Especially not from the mares, the orange-blue Aeri thought with a pleasant shiver. The majority would welcome a handsome, polite newcomer warmly. Perhaps a few stallions would be jealous if the dark blue happened to turn the head of one that he was courting but Nyx doubted that it would be a big issue.
Besides, she thought with a smile as they reached the stream and she lowered her head to drink, it wasn't as though she was intending to let the other mares get too close to him in any case. The short-maned female was aware that she was getting ahead of herself again but it was fun to get carried away sometimes.
The brightly coloured Aeri glanced over to the long-tailed stallion. He was looking back. Nyx flushed. “Umm… so shall we move on?” she asked, trying to banish the fluttering embarrassment in her stomach; a handsome stallion was looking back at her. “There’s still lots to see.”

"If you wish to move on m'dear than I'll be happy to follow." He stepped out of the water and gave her a gracious smile before moving forward to stand beside the female. A gust of wind whipped his mane and tail around for a moment and he snorted when it blinded him.
When the wind died he tossed his mane back into place and waited for Nyx to move forward before he followed after her a step behind.

Nyx chuckled softly as the tall stallion's mane floated rebelliously before his eyes. "I suppose that's one advantage to short manes and tails," she said as she set off at an easy walk once more. "No matter how windy it gets I'm never blinded and I don't get tangles either. Still, I think I'd swap just for the beauty of it... Not that mine would be half as nice as yours." Nyx flicked her tail, glancing over her shoulder at the short, coarse strands as she did so. "I expect I'd just be a mess if they were longer," the splotched female concluded with a rueful smile.
Blue eyes scanned the horizon carefully as the two Nequus walked, seeking for anything out of place but all seemed normal. Dark shadows of bushes, the winding stream empty of strangers and members of her herd scattered about in sleep generally in twos and threes. "All seems well tonight," she commented with a smile.
