The male chucked at the reaction he got out of Ai, finding his shoulders falling into a more relaxed feel as the younger male just seemed to calm him. It felt great making friends with someone like Ai, and while Ta may have pushed himself to become an adult, sometimes he wished he could be like the adolescents of the pride.
He would sit up there on the rock and watch them play and train, not caring about the world around them. Each thought brought memories back of his times when he was younger, and the games he played with Kamilika.
Drifting out of his thoughts, he shook his mane and moved to the waters. Dipping his paw in one last time, he felt the heat of the day dawn into life, and tried to think of what to do next. Turning to Ai when he had an idea, he felt his face grow serious just a bit.
"So...you are interested than?" He asked casually, his maw lifted at the edges.

Ai beamed at the amused reaction his surprised jolt had received. Had he been younger, it would not have been unthinkable for him to have gotten angry at being laughed at. But.. he'd grown to learn that he needed to be amused by the little things.
Not to mention it wouldn't have been fair for him to get upset when he himself had done the exact same thing earlier when he'd scared the bajeezus out of his friend.
The sort of serious/attempting to be serious look on Ta's face daunted him a bit when it sudden made it's appearence. What the? Sudden personality lobotomy much? However, the adolescent was able to see the tell-tell signs of amusement around the lips of the older lion relaxed him a bit.
Okay, it wasn't as 'daunting scary' as he'd originally taken it. Then again, it was Ai. Ai wasn't very observant to most personality traits hidden in expression. Which was so unfair to him, it felt.
Interested? Well.. now that it was put into the 'strange man on the street corner offering you the secret of life and happiness in a jar-mysterious' voice, the dark lion had to nod.
"Of -course- I'm interested."

"Great!"
With that, Ta'Ziyan let out a very boyish grin and turned to start padding back towards Priderock, "Kami should be up by now, I'd be surprised if she wasn't...I'm usually the one who sleeps in..." The last part was low and seepish, but Ta let it go.
He had two things to be happy about anyway. First, he was helping Ai out, and doing his job as assitant to the queen. As long as he continued to help out the pride, he felt as if he could help make things easier on Kami before everyone got to be too much.
Secondly, he was going to see Kami again, and just seeing her made his day much better, so of course he was excited to greet her once again. Pausing, he turned back to make sure Ai was following, unaware of his sudden mood perk that had just occured.

The sudden perk in atittude almost smacked Ai in the face, but he perked up quite easily, hopping up to his feet to follow after the brown lion, a bit of a hop in his step. Then again, there always seemed to be such things in the way he walked. Yay for optimism!
"Well, if she isn't I wouldn't blame her. Sleeping is such a nice thing." he explained almost in an amused tone. Yes, Ai liked to sleep. He was just cursed with a perfect internal clock that put him out and woke him up at an almost precise timing.
He was -totally- awake!
Ai happily kept up with Ta, grinning in a sort of dorky-teenager way when he was looked back at. Had he the ability, he probably would have waved while he was at it. But he didn't have the ability, so he couldn't.
Any onlookers probably would have been blinded by the 'cheer' that came from the pair. Unfortunately, Ai was blind to the ability to be blinded by happiness. As fun as being blinded by happiness would have been.. (not really..) .
"Sooo.... what are we doing now?" he inquired confusedly.

Ta seemed to falter in his steps at the question, before turning around and letting out a thoughtful sigh. Pondering over it a moment, he let his thoughts travel until he relized he probably needed to answer.
"You see, the only way to get a specific job is for you to speak with the queen. So I figured I could take you up to the top of the rock, and you could go introduce yourself while I go on a hunt." Nodding at the logic a moment, he added in a hesitant afterthought, "That's alright...right?" Before his ears fell and he hoped he didn't become too pushy too fast.

A sort of 'OHYEAAAAAAH' look came on Ai's face before he laughed sheepishly. "That's right.. I forgot." he admitted, blushing a bit. Some pridelander -he- was if he couldn't even remember that he was -supposed- to actually chat it up with the queen if he was going to ask about taking a certain job.
Then again... What position in particular was he GOING for? He'd have to think about this one for a bit.
"Yeah yeah.. it's alright. I was just kinda out of it." he insisted, grinning. He wasn't being pushy at all!
Ai was just being stupid. Like he normally was. All good, though!

Ta just nodded again, a bit uncertin as he watched the expressions pass over Ai's face. Looking back to the rock, he quickly turned away and glaced towards the younger male once more.
"I think Kamilika was trying to make new jobs for lions, we've got so many now that we kinda need it, if you know what I'm getting at. These lands are filled with so many lions, it's hard to tell who's who, and even harder for me to get to know all of them..."
He let out a nervous sort of laugh at that, as if he just remembered his duties and the task he self-proclaimed. He had a lot of work to do, that much was for certin.

Ai listened as Ta spoke, nodding. New jobs? Well, with so many lions about, he had to agree with the idea. "It's easier to spread out various tasks since we have so MANY here. Makes pridal life easier, I think."
A bit of laughter came, not like 'HA HA, LOSAR' but 'Ha ha! That's so true!', as the older lion spoke about how hard it would be to remember everyone. "It seems like every day we find someone new. Every day, there's at least three more faces I've never seen, and I've stopped trying to remember who they all are. And I've had my whole life to try. So that didn't really work, to say the least."
He sympathized with him, however. Since Ai was only a ... well. He wasn't a 'specialhighrankprincessprincething', as he could put it simply, he didn't have as big of an obligation to try and remember all of those names.
Ai himself could remember, at most, his family, the royal family, now Ta, Kat, and ... maybe a couple of others.
So twenty to thirty names? Yeah, there were WAY more lions in the pridelands then that.

"I really am not too familiar with the tasks Kami
has in mind," He echoed once again, and stilled as they finally made way to the rock, "But my best bet is to just look deep inside at what you would like to do, and than try and explain it to her. She has many ideas in mind, so she probably would know right away."
Grinning, he silenced his voice before letting out a bit of a cough, "Would you like me to introduce the two of you, or would you rather go up yourself? I can say this though, Kami wont bite so there is no need to feel anxious about the meeting, she is shy but a very peaceful queen, just like her father."

Ai smiled sheepishly. Look inside himself? That would be a journey he'd admittedly get lost in. When Ta came to a stop, Ai did as well, peering up at the large structure, recalling having once sat up on the top and looked down from it.
It seemed like so far away each way.
"I'm sure she does. I'd imagine a lioness in her position has to constantly think." he mused, the silence that followed settling in his mind quite well before Ta spoke again, spooking Ai out of his little happy place in silence, though it was not enough to make his fur puff up.
Introductions?
"I've met her before.." Ai admitted, shrugging his shoulders a bit, then grinned. "Thank you for the offer, though. I think I'll go up myself, if that doesn't seem rude of me to say?"
He felt like he was trying to retreat from his current company.
Taking the first step up the slope, he turned back to Ta over one shoulder. "It was nice talking to you. I'll let you know how it went tomorrow." he beamed, before continuing to make his way up.

The adult male chuckled at the mistake he made, "Well in that case, I apoligize for my mistake and wish you the best of luck," There was no ill tones in his words as he settled back to watch the monocrome male make way to the top,
"It was a pleasure to meet you as well, and no worries, it is not rude, I'll be looking forward to hearing of your job tomorrow, hope it is a good one!"
And when Ai was out of sight, Ta turned and made way back to where he came from, glad to have met the male and hoping he got the job he wished for, making note to find him tomorrow and ask just how it went.
