Patron Saint of Awesome I. L. Malphas Caffeine Burnout Michaela-May once you've finished some one please tell me how to beat Exmortis I've tried. I get up to the ghost of the girl before there's nothing left to do. Stuck there to. I've been searching around the house for the combo to open the safe...and then there's that clock thing... I don't know. You can find the safe combo in the attic. I don't think I noticed the attic until the second time going to the door that leads to the bedroom (it's a trapdoor in the ceiling) so it might not even appear until you go downstairs and then back up. A freaky game and a good one, very detailed and well thought out, but DAMN it's long. I thought I did something wrong and it was game over, start again when I got to the ghost girl, I was so mad, and then thankfully it started back up again. whee Man...totally missed the attic. Thanks! biggrin

I played that last one finally (the very long one, that's still under construction). I really didn't like it.
I like a good ghost story. I like things that startle (to an extent). I like suspense, thriller, and above all a good STORY to the scare.
That one was (my opinion, no offense intended) DUMB. It had NO story at all. It was mostly for shock value, and more gore than anything else. Now, don't get me wrong, gore belongs in the genre of horror too and I know there are people who are delighted to be terrified of it, but to me, I don't know... it just makes me feel vaguely sick. Not necessarily because the image itself is all that gross, but just because the idea of somebody torturing someone else is less scary to me and more depressing. I don't understand why anybody would do that, and I am just not entertained by that kind of horror.
I was enjoying it when it was the creepy locale, and then at the part where you had the thing that looked like a spectre of a mechanic... but it just went downhill from there, to a bunch of images of people being butchered like pigs and screaming for mercy and after that I stopped feeling deliciously shuddery and started to curl my lip in distaste. Finally I just gave up on it and I'd never bother to finish it.
Still trying to figure out how to get to the end of exmortis. Actually, right now my internet is being really slow so I can't even get it to load... xp

You know, go down the hall instead of the stairs first and all that. Man...maybe we should have a separate walkthrough post for this. Anyway, where are you exactly? Edit: I just beat it in one form...apparantly near the end you have two options...I'm gonna try the other one once I get back to the dorms.

I get to the basement and try to open the door, which is stuck, and then I hear voices. And that's it.
I have been everywhere! I wonder if you have to do things in a certain order to make stuff happen? If so, that's just stupid. The second time I played, some of the cool creepy stuff that happened the first time I played didn't happen that time around, I don't know why.
Yeah, some kind of walkthrough would be cool, if there would be a way to do it with minimum spoilers. I want to see what else happens!

Tried NFH Propaganda. I must express my extreme distaste for the load time. But other than that it's pretty good. Though I must ask... Was that Jason in the car section?
