Gash Rain Jareth Dallis Gash was profiling me because Im a wind elementa assuming I used a wind deck*glare* I may be wind elementa but elementa has no hold over dueling! i asked if u played with one, i didnt say that u did, your so moody man think before u say No you said "don't you play a wind deck?" which I consider as an assumption.

Hermisia So ah... do we care to try to transcribe the five elements of morst TCG over the true eight-point elementa chart? yes that would be wise. earth, fire, wind, water, and dark seem to be common or light. but somtimes other element elements are used as a type or trait/ability, like lighting as thunder. i wonder why they just dont use all the elements. they seem to exclude lightning, ice. also would metal be an element, or would it be non elemtal .ive seen some dude on a game while he was attaking doing some kinda spell it looked like he made a pentagram for each element sayin " earth fire wind water metal. it was off evil zone or for u die hard fans its Eretz Vaju in japanese

I find that metal can usually sub for thunder in some cases depending on the game and they actually leave out ice quite a lot.
When there is an element of wood or nature I add that instead of water even if and in most cases it is available, that makes my element more pure so in another sense under another elemental system I am actually Shade-Wood. 4laugh Like in DM.
Also In games where there is no wood I actually lean all the way to earth over the water creatures. I'm not that much water at all and that is the reason for this. So I use a Dark-Earth deck in YGO.
In games like Legen of Mana, I use Sahde and Dryad(the plant symbol) and in FF& I tend to stick to Demi, time magic and Shade elemental summons. I use these type of things, because I like to just beat them to pulp with pysical attacks. That my thing. Wham! Pow!Watah!
Most RPG's have in the shade element, or something very close, so I never have to search to far for it. They usually throw in some all killing shade spell at some point. xp

I agree that metal usually substitutes for Thunder, but physical elementa systems are always too variable for me to ascribe to. What I can tell you about Duel Masters is this...
Light elementa - Likely to play Pure Light deck Wind elementa - Likely to play any relatively quick hitting combination of anything. Ice elementa - Likely to play Water-Dark Water elementa - Likely to play Water Light. Shade elementa - Likely to play Dark Water or Dark Nature Earth elementa - Likely to play Nature-Light Fire elementa - Likely to play Fire Nature or pure Fire Lightning elementa - Likely to play Fire-Light combinations.
Of course, as usual nothing is set in stone.

In Magic The Gathering, I tend to play black and green, even thought I geuss the closest match to my elementa would be a mono-white. Does anyone have a tendancy to just play a deck of their elementa?

Mishap and Gash could you take your chatting on games to the video game thread? This is a TCG thread after all.
Reis what you described doesnt sound like my deck.....remember I take my time then come out with monsters to end it all.

My cards have arrived in the mail! Thankyu, Jarethy!
~ogles Crystal Paladin~ Ooooh. Incredibly shiny object...
I went into the Toys and Collectibles forum to see if I could find other Duel Masters players, but I only found M:TG, mainly. The number of cards they speak of make my head spin, but I guess that is probably because I don't know the rules.
Is it a tough game to learn, Hermisia?
