The wild dog didn't move emmediatly when freed, he simply lied there for a minute or two, just breathing and looking around. He hadn't helped much, but he hadn't gotten too badly injured too, heck, something else could do this damage by accident. Wel, maybe not all those at a time, but they were shallow(not that something on the ear could be considered so 'deep').
Finally, he pulled himself up, tail wagging slightly. He was alive, and his sister was ok, and his dad was hur, but it didn't seem too bad. Kutu puffed out his chest proudly, maybe he had helped. "Dat? Is Dat okay? "

Huddling in the bush she'd hidden in, Ticdat crawled out when she heard the hyena leave. Trembling, she swiveled her ears around, listening for danger. What she heard were her brother and father. Whining, she slowly crept towards them, wanting comfort. "I'm... I'm okay..."
Raka smiled, watching his daughter, then limped over. Nuzzling her, he looked back at Kutu. "You seem to be better off than I am." A light chuckle escaped his maw before he carefully turned to clean the wounds. He would live.

Raka sighed, watching his children. "I'm not sure..." He looked at Ticdat, at the blindness her eyes held. "It might be because... She can't see them coming..." He sighed, then licked each of his children.
Whining a bit, Ticdat curled up near her father, laying down. The fear had exhausted her, and she soon slipped into a fitful sleep filled with badger claws and now the sounds of hyenas. Her dreams hadn't been pleasant in a long time, but she couldn't help it.
Watching Ticdat sleep, Raka became aware of his own tired body. Letting out a yawn, he carefully lay down, favoring the hurt ankle. Letting out a heavy sigh, he, too, soon fell asleep.

The young male sighed, looking down at his paws and shrugging. He blinked as the two fell asleep, and somehow, couldn't understand how they were already so relaxed. His ears folded back, but he held back the urge to whine.
He wouldn't join them, though. He was too uneasy. He messed his paws around on the ground a bit, then trotted in the direction the hyena had left to. After making sure she was gone, the young male went trotting along the borders, looking from one side to the other, suddenly neasy. They were neighbors to monsters!
