Ru-Shin Invder tak Well, it beats ZADR, I mean, at least it's possible, even though Irkens are incapable of love. I don't see how it "beats ZaDR"...they're practically the same in my opinion. In each relationship they hate each other. *shrugs* Which is why I support both instead of condemning one and supporting the other. I don't know if Zim and Tak actually hated eachother...revengeful more than anything.

They rely on each other to grow stronger. That's true and it doesnt mean they love each other EXACTLY. Which brings me to part of my point. I mean, we all have our proverbial creative license. We can create any pairing we want, or we can choose not too. That's up to the individual and their personal tastes. ZaTR and ZaDR are practically the same thing. To support one while condemning the other just seems odd to me. So, if you're going to take Tak who dislikes Zim, who in turn thinks of her as a thorn in his side, and pair her up with him...then why not Dib and Zim who practically have the same exact feelings that I just stated? The only difference, in my opinion, is gender and race. Zim and Tak are a..."traditional" pairing. They break no boundaries. They're staying within their race and are in what most people consider a "healthy" heterosexual relationship. Zim and Dib, however, are a more controversial type of pairing. Which, I believe, is why it has such a large fanbase. They're not sticking within their race, nor are they pursuing a widely excepted orientation. They stick out in their little society in everything else they do...why not this as well? Anyway...I'm rambling. The whole point is this: I, personally, support both pairings. Emotionally they are practically the same. To support one, and hate the other is beyond my understanding.

Though he IS in most of the episodes, we really only know a little bit more about his past than we do Tak. Sure, we know his personality a bit better, but I think Tak has a pretty strong and impressionable personality to begin with anyway. xd I guess what I'm trying to say is, they're both pretty mysterious as far as their pasts go. Which gives us free reign over what we want to write. Also, as fanartists and writers, we can change their futures...feelings can change over time and in different circumstances. That's true and it doesnt mean they love each other ~But it doesn't mean they don't, and that's the whole point of the 'what if?' that is fanfiction. ^^ In my opinion, there's always at least one way to write something and make it believable, it's just a matter of finding the neccessary situation.

But at the same time, I would be far less surprised of Dib being an experimental Prof. Membrane clone than Tak being some sub species of Irken. Also, this is random, but I completely forgot to mention the age difference in my list earlier. That throws a lot of people off when it comes to ZaDR. Like one of my friends. She likes ZaDR, but has to not think about the age difference or it completely creeps her out and she has to stop reading. Heh heh. The age difference isn't an issue with me, however, considering Zim's...uh, maturity level or lack thereof. sweatdrop And besides, most people make Dib older in their fics, anyway. I personally think Dib would be almost out of High School before Zim even realized he had any strange feelings towards Dib.
