Kinnara smelled the scent of jasmine and could feel the silk robe kimono on his skin. It reminded him so much of how Aurora used to hold them when they were kids. Lately his heart had been torn in different directions such as his feeling for Aurora, for Aeka, and for now Bijin. Bijijn the only one that seemed not to have some wierd excuse of leaving him.
"Yeah I guess you are right but I feel I lose more and more of everything everyday," he then looked up at Bijin and gave a faint simle. "You know I kind of wonder what my life will be like when I become an adult. "

Bijin sat close to Kinnara, offering his friendship to the one he considered to be most kind. He wanted Kinnara to be happy, to be able to play and enjoy life, but all this loss seemed to weigh so heavily upon his heart. Bijin wondered if he could do anything to help. He listened as Kinnara talked and then thought about his question.
"Why wonder about the future? The future doesn't just happen and we must accept it. The future can change with the smallest decision we make. It is not always fate you know. We have the choice. Think of it it they way you look at the zodiac. People are born under a certain sign and each sign has certain personality traits assigne to them. People born under that sign have a tendancy to act a certain way but they have the choice to act a different way. Some may be very selfish but choose to help a friend, contradicting what their sign lays out for them. Some may be distrustful but will take a chance to experience something new.
Nothing is carved in stone, it can change. But it takes some work to do it. And friends can always be there to lift you up when you need the boost to make a change. I am your friend Kin-sempai, and I will be here for you if you need my help. I will always return a kindness given to me, and you have been very kind in being my friend."
For one so young, he spoke as if he had lived many ages. Bijin didn't know why he said some things the way he did. It was as if he knew them but could not recall any of his wisdom unless the current situation called for it. His mother had told him this was all part of his growing, that he would find more and more of himself as they got closer to discovering his fable.

"I wish to become a human and not just be a cat anymore. I know you are just trying to cheer me up but being what I am I drive everyone away. In a way that is my curse as the cat. "
Kin nodded. "lately I been feeling that once I get close to someone something always happen. First it was Aurora growing up and seemed to be in love with women, and then Aeka. He seemed to like me and then strange God stuff happen and now I have to stay away from him. " He sighed.
Kin looked up at the sky. He could see birds flying. "I wish I could be free like a bird. I think I am going to try and break my curse and become human. I want to break free of my fable and become a new person."

"Hmmm...."
Bijin thought about what Kinnara said and wondered if he could be any help. Then he got a smart little idea.
"Ne ne, Kin-sempai. Why don't you come to Japan with me and okaa-san! We will be traveling there soon to research my fable. Maybe while we are there, we can research your fable as well. I know your fable is more Chinese but the Japanese and Koreans use they same zodiac. So maybe they will have some scrolls about it. Then we can see if we can break it. And it would be nice to have someone close to my age there."
The trip to Japan was very important to Bijin's research into his fable. He had to figure out what all of his dreams meant. And having a friend along would make the trip a lot more pleasent.

"That would sound nice to do," said Kinnara. "when do you plan on going? I am going to have to tell mother as well. I don't want her worrying about me. " Kinnara nodded somewhat happier now, but he was techincally older then Bijin. He laughed a bit. "I bet while I am in Japan I will find that damn rat and beat the rat to a pulp."

"In a few weeks. Okaa-san has to get our passports ready and pack all our things. We will be staying more out in the country since my fable envolves a shirine of some sort. So you have time to pack and plan for anything. It will be so much fun Kin-sempai! We can get you a nice kimono to wear and you can go to one of the hot spring baths too! They are really nice!"
Bijin was all excited now. He had a friend and they were going to his home country. He looked over Kin's anime and pointed out he could expand his collection of that as well.

"I will try to get ready by then," said Kinnara with a nodded. " I will bring a map because I rather not get lost in a country I don't know." Kinnara then got of the couch. "Oh did you want something to drink. Me in a Kimono? " He pounder this. "I wonder if I were an adult if I would look good in one."

"Hai, I would like some tea if you have any. And there are all kinds of kimonos. Maybe we could just get you a yukata. Something you can wear around the house that isn't formal. They are very comfortable. And not brightly colored or anything."
Bijin sat on the couch and smiled. He was glad Kinnara wanted to go with him. Maybe it would make his friend feel better and lift his spirits.
"And you can eat real Japanese food. And good sushi. Thats always very delicious. If we are lucky, we can go during the Sakura Festival. Its so pretty!!"
The little cross dresser clasps his hands together in a sparkly eyed happiness as he imagined himself dancing throught he falling petals wearing a lovely pink and white kimono. Yeah, he would be so pretty in that.

"Tea it is," said Kinnara making a pot of hot water. His favorite tea was the berry blossom white tea from Tazo. Though he had to have it with sugar. Lots of sugar. He turned his head and saw the expression on Bijin's face and burst into laughter. He had not seen such a silly face in a long time.

Bijin was taken out of his happy thoughts by the sudden burst of laughter from Kinnara. He blinked a bit with a cute "huh?" face, wondering what was so funny. Then he realized he must have looked quite funny during his day dreaming of dancing through the sakura petals. He laughed too and shook his head, his silky black hair moving with every motion of his head.
"Sometimes I think I day dream too much. But okaa-san says its good for me. She says it keeps my creativity strong so I can always think of a solution to my problems. Though lately I've been having dreams about my fable. I wish I knew what it was, then maybe it would be easier to understand the dreams. I envy you for that Kin-sempai, you at least know your fable."

"Well proubley cause i read up on it at the libaray but I really don't know why it happen. That is what I am trying to find out. Maybe once I come to terms with it, I will be able to enjoy my life once again," said Kinnara finishing up the tea and stops laughing. Kinnara then brings over the tea and a cup full of sugar. "I hope you like it."

"It smells very nice!"
Bijin took a sip and smiled. It was very good! Different from his green tea. But still, trying new things was always important. He turned to look at Kinnara as he spoke.
"Okaa-san says we won't find my fable in any libraries because of the sheer number of fables in Japan. Some are local legends or specific only to certain regions due to geologic formations. But from what I've gathered in my dreams, we think we've narrowed it down to a few areas. So we will be going to the local temples and shrines in those towns to look over their scrolls."
He took a few more sips of the tea.
"But we will have to get supplies and guides first, so we will be in Tokyo and a few other big cities before heading off into the surrounding areas. So I can show you some of the neat places in Japan."

Kinnara sat back down and yawned. He had become a bit bored. He had been home all day and it nice that Bijin came over but he kind of wants to go out and do something beside stay at home and drink tea. His cat tail swayed back and forth. "So Bijin I think we should go out and have some fun. Being here all day get's kind of boring."

"That would be nice. The weather is very nice if not a little cool. What would you like to do? I love to go shopping! And I have not been to the local bookstore yet. Maybe we can find a book on Japan for you there. What do you like to do?"
Bijin sipped his tea quietly, he wasn't sure what the other boy would want to do. He hadn't spent much time 'hanging out' as they said in this country, so he wasn't sure what boys did to entertain themselves.

Kin hated the idea of shoping but not wanting to be rude he said. "Sure sound like fun. Let's go to the mall." He then ran to his room and grabs his cell phone and house keys. "Just let me get some shoes on and we will get going."
