Zera watched Asariel roll into another tree with alarm. She didn't want him to get stuck again. She bounded closer to make sure he was all right, but he got up again and shook his head. She 'Raac'd' with realief that her friend was okay. The thins in Asariels mouth were wounderously shiny. Even shiner than most things she'd seem, but she still treasured the rock, or course.

Zera watched Asariel trot over to her and sit in the begging postion. She really had no clue about what she was supposed to do. She watched him for a minute, then remebered back at the hatchery she had seen dragons with things around their necks. Maybe this was one of those neck things. She picked up the necklace in her mouth then somewhat threw it over her head so when it came down it went around her neck. Luckily, the sharp point missed the younglings scaley flesh.

Zera then carelessly picked up the other dagger and stuck it on Asariels neck. Their, now her friend was wearing the other one. She 'raac'd' again, then once again set off running up the hill, she remebered her book and looked at the dagger momentarly. Like Asariel, she saw the same squigly things as in her book. She chirped happily at it. Maybe it was a sign, that they were near the place with her book and the older dragon.

Zera once again tore off, hoping Asariel was following. She liked the older dragons human, maybe she would be their and maybe that other human with the dragon would be their too. Zera wouldn't mind seeing them again. They all seemed nice enough, well, the black dragon seemed somewhat grumpy. Zera peeked back remeber Asariel and sat for a moment. All this running was tiring.

ooc| Awww! That would be cute.

Asariel proudly sat up as Zera placed the dagger around his neck and he looked down at it. Against his blue scales, the silver blade really was shiny and pretty. What more did a youngling need in life? He had an adventure at hand (ok, so it wasn’t really an ‘adventure’ in the strictest sense; it was more like traveling up the mountain to see Maderik and Rin and get back Zera’s stuff), he had a friend, and a pretty new shiny thing! He hoped that Rin wouldn’t still be mad at him… or that other human, the one who he had hurt. He felt pretty bad about that, actually…

Maybe he ought to get her some sort of gift along the way there. In the way of males all over the world, Asariel had a vague idea that presents would always calm a rampaging female. The trouble was selecting the correct gift, especially in such… well, it wasn’t like there was a novelty gift shop anywhere nearby. His steps slowed slightly, and he started paying more attention to his surroundings, poking his nose into holes in an attempt to find something nice to give to the nice humans. And maybe Maderik. He was probably always grumpy because he hadn’t gotten enough hugs when he was younger.

His stomach rumbled in a whiny sort of way until he poked it curiously with a claw. All this running around was… umm… hungrifying.

Zera noticed that Asariel seemed to be looking for something. She quickly guessed what it was.

Gift for them? Zera asked curoiusly, to confirm her suspion.

She was also getting hungry. She wanted to find food. She remebered eating animals when she lived in the hatchery, like birds and the like, but really after being in the forest for a bit, she had become somewhat friends with the woodland animals, or atleast no one hunted eachother. Then, a large animal lept in front of her. It was furry and had pointed ears, also a fluffy gray tail. She also noticed it had sharp teeth and claws. It was like a dragon to her, but it still scared her. Then she notice it had a dead bird in its mouth. The small dragon needed food, and badly. Timidely she tired to communicate with it.

Food, please? She called to it.

The Creature was startled and ran off into the woods. The youngling looked sadly after it, wishing she could have gotten some food, instead she had scared it away. In the distance she heard a loud scary howling/wailing noise in the air, then alarm calls from birds. The youngling backed away, and towards Asariel. Suddenly, out of the bushes, came the same creature, this time with two large rabbits in its mouth. It dropped them in front of Zera, then ran off into the woods again.

Zera stared saddly at the dead animals, but it was food, but she still felt bad. They had died just so she and Asariel could eat.

ooc| Eh, somewhat unrealistic, but I always imagine woodland animals would do the bidding of the dragons out of fear. sweatdrop By the way, the animal was a wolf, if you didn't know.

Asariel nodded weakly, reminding Zera of the damage he had done to that one human. It had been stupid to climb up her shirt, it really had… still, he didn’t know any better! He had been very young, after all… and the human didn’t seem to take it personally. He vaguely remembered the human going off with Maderik and Rin, along with the little dragon hatchling, so it seemed like a good bet she would be there. The movement in the bushes alarmed Asariel and he jumped up, ready to defend himself and Zera if need be. That is, if whatever was out there was frightened of dragons…

Which seemed to hold true in the case of the oddly dog-like creature as it ran away rather quickly. Sitting back on his haunches, Asariel blorted his success to the world, thinking that he had scared it off. Much to his dismay, it came back quickly with… well, dead things in its mouth. He blinked as the wolf ran away, and decided not to think about what had just happened. It probably wasn’t that important anyway… unlike Zera, Asariel didn’t waste time thinking about how the rabbits had been alive not too long ago. He vaguely noticed it, of course, since the rabbits were still warm, but… well, they were dead now, and that was the important thing.

Oh, and he was hungry.

Zera sniffed the meat and took a small bite, of one of the rabbits. Then, she realised how hunger she really was. She pushed one rabbit to Asariel and gobbled the other one down. She wished she could thank the creature that had given them to her. Maybe the old dragon would know what it was, she would have to remeber to ask the black dragon. Zera quickly finished the rabbit off, and looked at the bones for a bit. She felt bad for the creature, but it had fed her. She wondered is Maderik would like the bones or the other human. Zera also spotted some feathers and shiny stones. Maybe they would like one of those two. Zera tripped over to them and dragged them over to show Asariel.

Do you think the Dragon and Humans would like? She asked Asariel, or any creature whom was listening.

Asariel ripped into his own rabbit, careful to avoid eating any of the bones. He had to wonder what had happened to the creature who had brought the rabbits… where had it gone? Would it be there if he got hungry again? Maybe he ought to try practicing real hunting. Thus far in his life, he had gotten very good at catching bugs, but those weren’t very filling. Experimentally, he flamed at what remained of the rabbit, just for the sake of seeing what would happen. The smell of burning fur and flesh filled the air, making the youngling sneeze and scratch at his nostrils. Pfew, but the fur smelled awful! He made a mental note to try to get rid of the fur before he tried this again.

I don’t think the old dragon likes much of anything… Asariel said once he had stopped sneezing. He vaguely remembered that Maderik had seemed somewhat amused when the hatchlings had crawled all over that human, but Asariel and Zera were too big to do that now. Besides, Asariel had learned his lesson: crawling up a human’s shirt means lots of loud noises and a mental smack on the nose.

He tilted his head to one side and observed the feathers and shiny rocks more closely. Weeeell… it was the thought that counted, right? They’re very pretty, he observed with a nod. The problem, he decided, would be finding a way to carry them up the hill to where Maderik and Rin lived. Or, at least, the approximate place where he and Zera had saw Maderik fly. They couldn’t carry feathers in their mouths, because they would get soggy. And soggy feathers weren’t any fun.

Zera watched the burning food in surprise. The burning fur smelled horrible, and hot smoke blew in her face. Zera glared at the smoke and blew frost at it. One thing she had learned in the hatchery, cold made hot go away, and heat made the cold go away.

Zera had to agree with Asariel, the old black dragon really didn't like anything. Maybe he would like food. If she could try to...Zera sighed aloud, it would mean killing inocent creatures. Zera knew she was thinking to hard. She shouldn't mind that the animals had to die, but...she did. Brefiely she wondered why only she cared. Why didn't the other dragons care? Zera shook the thought away, and turned to their current problem. How would they transport the stuff to the others?

Zera glanced around her suroundings, looking for something to carry the stuff with. Not to far away, she spotted a very large leaf. Zera ran over, gabbed it in her mouth, and dragged it back. She then piled all the gifts upon it, and tried to close the leaf up. Saddly, the leaf wouldn't stay closed. Zera had a small idea of away to keep it closed, but she didn't want to use her ice breath.

I suppose its for the best..., She thought aloud, and with a reluctent glance, she blew ice around the somewhat close leaf. The leaf stayed closed, and their was a spot at the top were she could pick it up in her mouth and drag it.

It may make us walk slow..., she notified Asariel, then started walking slowly on dragging the leaf with her. She would face the problem of hunting later.
