All kinds of ways, but mainly through the internet. Not so much from friends as either by chance or from reading message board posts about stuff. I also sometimes pick up random titles off the shelf if they look decent.

I buy the best magazine on Spain called Minami, but I look on Internet too.
That's just odd.

I love just scoping the publishers home sites. Occationally I'm like
" eek WOW I never thought that THAT would seem interesting".

I use Newtype USA. I also go to the TV Tokyo website to find new shows. Then I look it up at Animenewsnetwork.com. I am also making my own list for the new shows of 2005. Go here for the list.

I get all my anime updates from AnimeNfo.com. They have listings of anime that haven't even come out in Japan and have summaries and links to help ya learn about em and such. They also list fansub sites.

"New" as in... "Brand spanking new, only in Japan" new, or "new" as in "This series has been licensed, look forward to it bing in English new"?

For the first, animesuki.
For the latter, animenewsnetwork or the Anti Guild.

Usually, I just look in the back of the previous volume and seen when the next one is coming out. But sometimes, I go to the websites like tokyopop.com or viz.com. 3nodding

A mix of things actually. Articles, net, and just walking in. Sometimes suggestions as well.

I mostly buy what I see in trailers. When the library bulk orders anime or manga, they usually get a trailer DVD, which I then get because I'm friends with the library board president's daughter and the branch manager's pet.
