Grete gasped, and watched the flame flicker. She held her hand to it, and felt nothing. She gasped once more, and a smile spread across her face.
"Wow!" She said, excited and impressed, "This is really interesting. It definately seems like something that other people would enjoy."
She continued to watch the flame, mesmorized by it. Grete stuck her hand in once more, and then glanced up at Silvaara.
"So, how complex can you get with your illusions?"

Silvaara watched Grete with amusement. She really did act like a child. Even so, she was slightly surprised that her appearance hadn't seemed to phase her...even on her home world people would be slightly startled.
"Complex?" she chuckled sourly, "Fairly, I do believe...and that light will stay there until I make it otherwise, the only spell that does that really." She sighed, once again thinking about how usefully it would have been if other spells had done that. But she was glad for the light. It was comforting, familiar. Plus the added light would make it slightly easier to see. Silvaara assumed it would get darker soon, but then again she didn't know how that operated on this world.
"If you wanted I could make it so you could put that in a jar and keep it. You'd just have to put a cloth over it," the Thrakena said, gesturing at the hovering light.

Grete smiled widely, and tried to be very lady-like about her giddiness. She was clearly delighted by the illusion, and her eyes kept flicking between Silvaraa and the fire. Grete decided that she liked Silvaraa. She was kind of quiet, but it wasn't that she was rude or anything. Grete had noticed Silvaraa's appearance, but that didn't phase her at all.
Working at a place like Cirque, it was pretty much known that one was bound to see stranger things.
"You're kidding!" Grete gasped, beaming up at Silvaraa, "I could keep that? That would be fantastic! And...and it won't be a problem for you or anything?"
Grete was naive about this talent. She had never encountered anything quite like it. While she was someone who was smart and caught onto things quickly, this completely puzzled and fascinated Grete.

Silvaara shook her head, "No, it would not bother me at all." She stood up and brushed herself off lightly. She turned over a few things in her mind while she plucked the light from the air.
Facing Grete, she gestured at the light, "You wouldn't happen to have something to put this in with you, would you? I am afraid I don't carry around jars."

"You know, I probably do...," Grete rushed into her trailer, and looked around for anything that would work. She looked through many different cabinets, and pulled out anything that she believed might function as a good magic-light holder.
Coming out of her trailer a few minutes later, Grete carried out three different containers to show Silvaraa. She beamed widely at her, eager to see whether or not she picked out something good. None of the jars had labels on them, but two of them looked suspiciously like they had at one time carried liquor. The last was just a medium-sized jar with a lid.
"So, will one of these do?"

Silvaara pointed to the last jar, "I think that one would be best." Without waiting for a reply, she took the jar and screwed off the lid, guiding the light inside. She screwed the top back on and tapped the top, muttering something inaudible. To test, she tossed the jar from one had to the other. The light stayed.
Satisfied, Silvaara handed the jar back to Grete, "There you are. Just put a cloth over it if the light starts to annoy you. Don't open it, though, it will 'escape'."
Trying to think of something important she might need to know, the Thrakena motioned at the younger woman's trailer, "Now to annoy you with a new....person question. Here's your trailer. I'm assuming there are more, but which one do I need to go to in order...hnn...to 'start' I suppose? I can't think of the word at the moment."

Grete watched, dazzled by the light. Once it was handed back to her, Grete gazed at it dreamily, holding it close to her face. She put it on the ground next to her, and opened her mouth to ask a question about it 'escaping', but she figured that might not be a good idea. The illusion-business seemed overly complicated.
"To...start?" Grete repeated slowly. There were a few things that Silvaraa should probably go see about, so, Grete decided to mention at least a few of them.
"Well, Scarlett's probably your best bet about getting 'started' here. Her trailer is off that way, somewhere," Grete pointed vaguely over to a trailer that was a good distance away from her own.
"There's also the sleeping trailers. You'll be roommates with a few other girls. That trailer is over there," This time, Grete pointed at a trailer a little closer than Scarlett's.
"I think that should cover the basics. You'll probably get sent to other places, in addition to those, though," Grete smiled at Silvaraa, "I just figured I'd warn you about that."

Fun, thought Silvaara to herself, rooming.
Silvaara sighed, "So, I will most likely be running around from place to place for the next few days?" It seemed a bit dull, but at least she wouldn't have to do nothing.
"You are probably annoyed already, but one more question," the Thrakena smiled at this one, "Anyone in this facility that I should 'watch out' for?"

Annoyed? Not at all. This comment struck Grete as slightly odd, but it was all fine. At the next question Silvaraa asked, a wide, cat-like grin spread across Grete's face. She slid backwards in her chair, and she thought about her response for a few seconds.
So, Grete had a little fun with gossip. Was it such a big deal?
"Well, I can not stand Aiden. He's the ringmaster here. We both pretty much hate each other." She gave a weak laugh, and then really had to think about the question.
"You know, I get along with pretty much everyone else here...Well, for the most part. Even though it's not a who, but a what, you should probably avoid the meals made here. If it's just fruit or vegetables or plain meat or something, it'll be fine to eat."
Making a face, Grete continued, "But anything that's made special, like, a special dish or something, you should be careful. I don't know, maybe I'm just a picky eater..."
Though, it's not as if Grete ate very often, and it was obvious. She just hasn't kept food in her trailer until just recently.

Silvaara blinked. She knew that sometimes people hated each other, but never without reason.
"Why?" she asked without thinking. She regretted it in the next moment. It was none of hers to nose into other's business.
She coughed lightly, "Yes...food. Look out for it, right." Well, that she had already known through working with the military. You were better off getting your own food by far. Not that she really ate much. Most of the time she'd eat a big meal, then not eat for days afterwards.
Silvaara wondered if Grete was the same, though by the looks of it the woman didn't eat at all. She was tempted to point out the obvious and demand that Grete ate something for the better of her health, but resisted the urge to do so.

"Why?" Grete repeated. She figured that she might as well give a vague answer to her. Even though Silvaara seemed embarassed that she had said such a thing. Thinking about it for a few moments, Grete finally came up with a response.
"Well, he just...," Grete sighed, realizing that her vague answer was probably entirely too vague, "He knows something that I would rather no one know. I'm not even sure how he found out. Regardless, it's sort of like blackmail, you know? And he thinks I'm useless."
She quickly began nodding at Silvaara's repition of Grete's note about food. It would be a very good idea if she stuck to that.
"So, anything that you need to know? Or just talk about? I could stay and talk for a while," Grete beamed at her, and felt proud of her effort to make Silvaara feel welcome at Cirque.

"Hnnn...know something he shouldn't," Silvaara said absent minded, with an all-too-knowing expression, "Blackmail."
Oh dear. Now she was curious. But she shook the feeling out of her head and attempted an awkward smile. She did chuckle inwardly at Grete, trying not to let it show. It sounded like when she was back at home; when the children would run around screaming at each other. One would say something mean and the other would run home to their mother, crying.
That's what Grete seemed like. Poor girl.
"Ne? No, I think that covers it all," she looked around, then remembered one more thing she felt like she needed to ask.
"What time is it?"

Surprised by the seemingly random question, Grete wondered if something important to Silvaara was happening soon. Grete glanced around outside, looking around at the scenery before turning back to Silvaara.
"I'm not exactly sure of the time. It's the evening, though!" Grete smiled and stood up, "Wait here."
Quickly walking into her trailer, Grete was positive that she would find her clock easily. After trying to remember exactly where it was, she remembered that she kept a small brass pocket watch in a dresser drawer. As she began walking back outside, she reflected on the conversation that she was having with Silvaara. Grete felt very mature and wise, and was completely unaware that Silvaara thought of her like a child.
"Here we are!" Grete exclaimed as she walked outside with the watch, "According to this, it's about six o'clock. This is probably a few minutes fast. Or slow, since I have to reset it every time we go to a different location."

Whatever Silvaara was prepared for, it wasn't this. She vaguely remembered reading about time differences somewhere, but didn't know just how vast the differences really were.
So, as a result, she drew a complete and utter blank and just stared stupidly at Grete.
"....Evening....? Six...?" she half asked, half wondered aloud.
Silvaara knew the former term, but had only used it in the context of food. This left her even more puzzled, and wondering why no one was around besides herself and the child-lady looking for something to eat.

"What's the matter?" Grete asked, puzzled. It was quite obvious that this information had bothered Silvaara, and in Grete's curious nature, she was eager to know why.
"You might want to wait until a little later to talk to anyone. Everyone's out, setting up for the show."
Smiling widely, Grete added, "I'm off, though. At least for today."
Watching Silvaara, Grete wondered just how different the time was to her. Was it very drastic? Or, perhaps, it was the exact same time, and that was what surprised her!
Curiosity getting the best of her, Grete asked, "Expecting something else?"
