A Few Days Backflash
On Bruces way to meet Aika and Toto, before moving in with Ovelia he ran into this little funny, cute, yet playful girl, Ness. Bruce had an instant liking for her and wished to help her believe in romance.
Even tho the plan kinda backfired, and she started to want him in totally different ways that was the purpose, he still cares for her very much...

Semi Backflash
After his little adventure with Ness, Bruce finally found one of his friends, Toto. Having some guys fun untill the misses, Aika got home, they rebonded. Aika later helped Bruce find a place to stay and convinced him to let Vicky be his caretaker and friend.

Fangs dont scare me.
Settled into his new home, Bruce still found himself needed some alone time. So every now and then he goes out to sleep in the rosebushes.. It was then this girl, Sayuri came along and got stuck in the thorns as she tried to find the sound (which Bruce's fish made).
Will Bruce be able to help someone who keeps threatens him?

Should I fear the dark?
Bruce keeps bumping into pretty females, but why is it that they are all so fierce and michiveos? Maybe he should simply stay out of it. When you start bumping into Living Dead Mummies, you start to wonder...

"Aww..What a day..", Shigeru yawned, looking at his Sinnoh badges. He placed the last one back into his badge case, and put back into his bag. The PocketNuma had already learned how small his size was, from seeing his other family. He let off another yawn, taking off from ontop of a small-ish sized candy gumdrop. He headed towards the grape river, feeling a bit of a thurst coming.
Bruce was sleeping on a rock near the water, his tailtip dipped into the river. Along with him, the flowers on his tail seemed to be deep asleep as well. It has been such a long day, not to mention hot so as soon as he had laid down to rest on the cool surface, his eyes had fallen down.
Cherie was humming lightly, while swimming around in the water near Bruce. As always, she kept her small, eary eyes guarding him. Looking out for strangers, especially the dangerous kind. Which to her, was everything feminine or cute. It was then something, was heading their way. But it smallness caused her to think he was so far away that she barely bothered to look closer at it.
Shigeru had put no notice that the numa at the lake was actually a Numa. He was just on the mind to get to the river. His eyes half open, he also needed a bit of a wake up call, the warm air was making him sleepy a little.
Cherie stopped humming as she noticed something nearby, not direactly on them but close. Slowly swimming closer to see what it may be, she held her breath.
Bruce started to move worried once the humming had stopped. The sounds, the voice of Cherie was a necessity for him to calm down. He started to move worried, tossing and turning. And then there was a splash. Bruce had managed to roll off the stone into the water.
And then, if the water hadn't awoken him, this surely would have. Shigeru's eyes opened as the numa had fallen into the water. He paniced a little, flapping his little butterfly wings quicker, he wanted to see if the numa was in as much danger as he thought.
Cherie froze and guilty she turned her head. She knew leaving like that was a big no no by her master. Ashamed she floated out of the water and closer to him.
Not sure if it was good or not, seeing and Bruce had gotten a pretty heavy bump to his head, the water had not been so deep there. He sat up, glaring over at Cherie while tapping his fingers annoyed at the surface. Sighing as he saw her, almost pathetic look, his eyes soon caught a movement in the background. "Who's that?" he asked curiously as the little pokenuma flied closer. Bruce had never seen such a small thing before.
Oh, he was running out of energy quickly. Shigeru's little body could hold out for only a little bit before he could have to take a rest. He landed on a rock on the other side of Bruce, catching his breath. "I...Are you..okay..?", he asked the black numa, panting so often. He looked up to him, scanning his figure slowly to check over.
Bruce combed some hair back from his face, his eyes widened looked at the little thing. "Woah have you seen.. its a numa" he gasped. Blinking puzzled at this very rare sight.
Cherie cleaned her throat and looked at Bruce, clearly annoyed.
"Oh.. Im sorry" Bruce quickly said, glancing over at Cherie. "Yes.. im fine thanks... I didnt mean to be rude." he almost looked like he were blushing. "I just.. I mean.. you.." he looked it over again, to then pinch his shoulder, wondering how badly he had hit his head. He twitched but were clearly still awake. The little thing looked tired.
He smiled, sitting down on the rock, "No, it's okay. I've learned a little that there are other numas larger than myself," he fanned himself with a paw, starting to get an ease on his breath, "You sure though?", he curiously tilted his head. He had seen only his two so called 'siblings', Celestial, and Victor, and was curious to see what other Numa type there were in the world of Candyland.
Bruce was getting happy, meeting someone else today other than Ovelia and his fishfriend here, who totally failed on her mission. His tail started to wag and a smile grew. "Yea. I am sure" he said and with that the roses on his tail slowly started to blossom. "But.. how.. I mean why.. are you so small?" he asked, hoping not to offend him. It was such a cute little thing! Bruce just wanted to snuggle him!
Cherie could see Bruce interest in the little creature and instantly felt that annoying feeling again. Crossing her fins she dove into the water. Why couldnt it just be those two. And NO ONE else. Ever.
"I, myself, have no clue onto why I am my size," he explained, shrugging. Getting up, now that he was rested enough, flapped his small wings, circling around the numa. Curious to his design, as he was circling around him, the phrase, "Can I get your name?", Escaped his lips. Shigeru chuckled sheepishly, "If, I may?", he added, trying not to be rude.
Bruce let out a soft giggle. "I'm Bruce.. Bruce Valentino the Rose" he added, while his head, his eyes tried to catch up with the little numas movements. Bruce couldnt help but think its a shame the numa was so small or he would of been very sweet to take out for the day, even if it was a boy. It was a very good and cute boy. Tho his look kind of made him more cuddly. "What may yours be?"
Hearing his question, he stopped infront of Bruce's face, a smile plastered on his face, "I'm Shigeru!", he spoke, with a cheerful tone in his voice. "Nice to meet you, Bruce," he was amazed how long a name could be, and how fancy it had sounded to the little Numa.
Bruces eyes looked like if they crossed one another, once the little fella stopped moving around him. Bruce knew he looked good but not to little creatures. Somehow the word midgets came to mind. "Thats a very unique name" he said with a nod. Bruce stod up and the purple water slowly started to rin off him. "Nice meeting you too! its.. a very refreshing addition to this day"
"Thank you, I like your name too~", he grinned, letting his small body rest on the top of Bruce's head. Shigeru's grin grew wider, as he looked down looking upside down into Bruce's eyes. "Days like today make me sleepy though," he yawned again, covering his mouth quickly, "Whoops. I'm sorry," he apologized quickly, chuckling.
Bruce started to giggle amused, but tried keeping himself from moving too much. Not wanting his new friend to fall. "Well thank you" he said proudly. Looking back into Shingerus eyes, he couldnt help but thinking that something so small could express so much. "Yea" Bruce started to move around the rock to get up on shore and out of the water. Even if it was cooling he was starting to get a little hungry "Days like these I wish I could just sleep in an cave of ice or sumthing". Smiling at the yawning face Shigeru made. "No need to say sorry ^^"
Shigeru nodded in agreement, "Yeah. Or atleast in a cold pool or something. .. Maybe I can live in a glass of water..", he scratched his chin, pondering the idea for a moment, "Anyways," he looked around, seeing movement happening, "Where are we going?", Shigeru curiously asked him, looking around.
Bruce raised an eyebrow at the numas thoughts. "I am sure, your human could be accused of animal abuse if you kept yourself in a glass" he said amused and purred lightly. It was nice having someone in his hair, even tho that sounded utterly absurd. "I thought we could get ourself some of the small gummy from the bush over there. Aika says the gummy near the river is extra delicious" Bruce licked his lips.
"Aww, but..I wouldn't be in it all the way. Just to cool down, y'know?", he asked Bruce, he tilted his head, he heard food and his stomach growled,(Like in most cheesy animes, like Pokemon or Digimon. xD ) clutching it he chuckled, "I guess I wouldn't mind a bite or two, " Shigeru spoke, twitching his tail a little. "But, that might sound good~"
"I guess, if you werent in it all the way, no one could say anything" Bruce said in agreement. Tho it was a funny vision. A numa in a glass. Yet, Bruce kind of envied the little numas smallness. Bruces ears twitched as the tummy growled. For being so little the tummy sure was heared. Maybe it was cause Shigeru were so close to Bruces ear or maybe he was just very hungry. "I think probably everything in numa land are more or less eatable XD The other day, someone had taken a bite out of my home!"
"Oh my! I wonder what my home would taste like...", he thought for a moment. "Actually.. I wonder what if the cave would even be edible..", he tilted his ears curiously. "But, my owner brings us water from the outside world. It's clear and stuff, and it's got no taste to it," he tilted his head, wondering why. "But..it'd be nice to be in, or something like that." he chuckled to himself. Shigeru was amazed on how much he could talk once started.
"You live in a cave?" bruce asked curiously. "Then I guess.. no? My friends Aika and Toto lives in a cave nearby but their cave walls are rock solid o_O however she decorated the inside walls with candy XD" Carefully Bruce sat down near the gummy bush. "I live in a gingerbread cottage so, the walls are very eatable.. probably should change them as they are a bit old.. and eaten ^^;" With a gasp, Bruce repeated "Clear water? Seriously? With no taste? Whats that good for...!" Bruce couldnt believe his ears.. clear water... <.< then he thought of his very sticky paws "but.. its like sugarly isnt it?"
"Aww, I wanted to find out if it were possible," Shigeru purred softly, giggling. "The clear water is good for the occasional bath," he chuckled, "Well, clean bath if you would put it. But no, it's not sugary at all," he pouted. "I don't know why humans like it at all," Shigeru shrugged, getting up and letting his wings float down infront of the bush, he looked back to him, "Y'know? I sometimes do question what humans do, but, I don't like to keep a question for too long, I have the ability to forget sometimes~"
"Dont think it is, sorry... caves are normally very hard to chew.. I tried ^^;" Bruce tried to think of all these new facts he just took in. Humans sure were a very weird and odd species. "But.. it dont sound too bad.. I mean.. like.. be able to clean myself in another water than just lick myself clean everytime I took a swim.." it was something that annoyed him and his new found sisters. That they always had to spend hours cleaning themself when all they wanted was to take a dip to cool off. "have you met many humans?" Bruce asked, wanting to know more about them before he finally get to meet his human. Thoughtful he took a gummy to chew on.
"Nope. And..actually, I don't think the human I found isn't human at all. She's furry, like us," Chuckling, Shigeru searched for a smaller gummy. His mouth watered a little, oh the thought of food was overcoming him. "I have yet to experience it really, but, from the sound of what we'd have to endure..I'd rather take the human's clean water over a majority of the river water," Shigeru grinned, pulling out a gummy from the bottom of the tree. .. The thing was a bit to the large size. He smiled, gnawing into it. The pocket had courage, and had eyes bigger than his stomach sometimes..
"A furry human?" Bruce had not fully come to term with what an human was yet, but he never heared of furry ones. "Maybe.. its a special human? o_O" Bruce watched as Shigeru was searching a gummy for him. It was easy to tell that he was hungry. "It doesnt sound half bad.. maybe should talk to my roomate and have her have our human take with some of that tasteless water." Bruce wanted a little numa like this of his own. Somehow, it gave the feeling of a pet or a teddy bear. he wasnt sure yet. Just very loving.
"Yeah, yeah. I'd bet it'd be great to have some of it. Though, you might want to keep it away from anything sugary," Shigeru lifted himself up, holding his arms wide, "The sugary treats..MELT!", he gasped, eyes wide. "I don't know how either!", he was shocked the first time he had done it, but, it had turned to a little bit of fun. Noding a few times, he sat back down, tearing off a piece of the gummy, and bit into it.
O_O "The.. sugar melts in humans water? And you dont know why?" Bruce swollowed. He didnt feel very masculine when he was frightened. Tho many would say, a guy that tend to gardening wasnt very masculine in the first place, but he didnt really think that far. "But.. what if we melt?" he thought of how he was a candy numa... "Does coffe melt too?" he wondered.. maybe would be good defence with such water if they did.
"No no, we're okay," he reasured, holding his paws up, "I mean, I'm still here, aren't I?", he joked, he tilted his head though. "Coffee..?", he asked, not knowing what in Candyland it was. Well, Shigeru would be the one to wonder, since he had only met candys in his apearance to Candyland. He was curious, and when Shigeru was curious, he had to know.
"Ah.. phew.. I got a little worried there." tho he couldnt help but look Shigeru over, to make sure he was complete. "Hmm.. yes.. " nod nod. "Does look like all of you is here.. I think?" Bruce realized he had not met him before the water dipping so he couldnt be sure.. but didnt look weird or anything, unless he had shrinked. "Yes.. Coffe.. you know.. generally brown, its yucky, smelly stuff?" scratching his head thoughtful he tried come up with a better way to describe it. but wasnt sure how.
Shigeru chuckled, "I wish I could have saved that sugar cube though..", he pouted a little, "It looked good..", he tilted his head, "..Well..I know a Numa who's basically brown, he's mean, and he smells like ice cream..", he tilted his head, "But..He wouldn't melt either..", Shigeru was talking about Victor, and his mean little streaks when he was trying to read. "He goes all mean like, 'Get away from me Shigeru, I can't read with you buzzing around my head,' and 'Shigeru, why don't you go and bug other Numas,' ...I don't know why though," Shigeru was taunting Victor's accent, a little thick in a Mexican accent. He sighed, rolling his eyes.
Bruces mouth watered a little at the thought of the sweet taste of sugar. Sugar and everything else sweet. "That does not sound like a nice numa" Bruce agreed. Sure he could see some numas can be bothersome but this numa is so small and cute, it would be a pleasure to have sweetness around. "Guess coffe numas do not melt.." he was not sure if that was good or bad. Didnt know that coffe numas didnt smell like sweet icecream either. "I met one lil bit fierce numa, but she turned out to be cute.." he sighed at the thought of his latest encounter with a pretty girl. "Dont think I ever met anyone as evil as the coffe numa" he added.
"Oh?", Shigeru cooed, with bits of gummy around his mouth. Looking up from it, he licked his lips, tilting his head. "They're bad? Eww..I don't like ones that are bad..", he pouted, shaking his head. "I don't like big meanies at all!"
Bruce picked another gummy and threw it up in the air, catching it with his mouth. "Oh yummy yum" he said delighted. Tasted like blueberrys. Looking over, a little puzzled he repeated "They are bad?".... "You mean coffes?" scratching his chin he thought for a moment. "Well.. I honestly never met one, but I have heared some awful stories about them O_O"
"Cool~ I wish I could do that!", Shigeru grinned, getting all sparkly eyed. Being so small would mean that he couldn't hold up a lot of things. "I'd say do tell, but, I'd rather not right now," Shigeru shuddered, thinking of something that could be said. "Are all of them bad? Or just a handful?"
Bruce raised an eyebrow. It never occured to him before now, that there would be alot of things this numa couldnt do, instead of the things he actually could do while Bruce didnt. "Maybe.. we need to find smaller candies?" he said slowly. "Hmm... good question.. I have yet to find out.. maybe..." meeting coffes, which most ghost stories from his childhood envolved around, wasnt something that temtped him very much. Well, besides his lil fantasy about a very domenistic coffe female that would be breathtaking and find liking in him. But, he had fantasies about most things.
"Yeah...I know I won't be able to finish this," Shigeru grinned, getting up from his food. "I hope though, because, I don't want to fear all of them," he nodded, scratching his chin. "Oh, you can have the rest of it if you want," Shigeru added, chucking sheepishly.
Bruce looked down at the small candy, well to him small and tried his best to smile natural. "That was very... sweet of you. Sure, I can finish it if you dont have time..." Bruce reached out for it. "You.. you have to leave?" a small sigh of disapointment escaped his lips. What would he do then. No cute friend around.
He shook his head, "Naw, I just wanted to stand~", he smiled, fluttering his wings and taking his place again ontop of his hair. "I like it up here though~", he chuckled, sticking his tongue out playfully.
Bruce looked very puzzled, but let out another sigh, this time out of relief. "I thought you had to leave! You, played me" he almost muttered those last words. As well standing he looked around carefully. "Where you wanna head next?"
"Uhm...", Shigeru pondered at the question. "I..don't really know," he replied, blinking a couple of times. "Wherever's fine though." Shigeru grinned, settling in his hair to watch from aperch.
"Have you seen much of numa land?" he asked, not sure if this was a very worthly creature or not. But didnt sound like it had heared much of the world here. "I could introduce you to family members.. or we can start getting you home... ooh icecream mountain probably would feel cooling, yet taste yummy!" he said, excited of all the things they could do this nice day.
"Oh..", Shigeru tilted his head, "I can't choose~ Let's go visit your family first," he nodded, looking down into Bruce's eyes again. "I like to meet other Numas. >w<", he giggled, looking stary eyed again.
Bruce looked around, trying to decide who to see first. "Well, Cotton I think would be like finding a needle in a haystack.. so lets start with..." looking down the shore. "Aika and Toto" and with that he walked down the sandy shore. "They live in a cave near the shore".
"Yeah? o3o", Shigeru grinned, anticipating meeting new Numa. He loved to make new friends, and was just bursting with joy. "Let's go~", he purred, pointing outwards.
Bruce tried to see the numa, but could only see a hand. Smiling he couldnt help but wonder what his family would think of this very cute friend he had. "Good thing then, that I just recieved a huuuge family"
