"Ah didn't mean for 'dis to happen." His eyes remained closed. "Ah don't regret it... Not in da least... They beautiful, chere. Like you... So much like you... An' trouble, like me."
He sighed softly as he shook his head. "Ah met her not long after Ah met you. She nothin' like you, chere... She needed a friend an' now Ah go an' screw everythin' up." He looked up to her, eyes still vacant of that fiery passion. "Ah do need you, chere... Ah need you t'remind me d'at freedom still exists[. You d'serve better d'an me, y'know."

Kitara nodded softly, she never really thought she'd be loosing remy... their relationship had been so passionate and free. She was reminded of that fear that the harliqun mare had struck into her, and bitterly she cursed it.
"Reguardless Remy... if I deserve better or not... I have you.... Had you... and I can always look back on that with a smile. " she was sad those eyes where no longer smoldering embers... something was gone from Remy that she thought would always be there...and...with a moment of quiet reflection and pain she realised that with her... he wouldnt have those flames again. "Remy... be Free ok?" She said softly... a tear quietly making its way down her cheek. "I understand that you need her now more than you need me.. and yes that hurts I wont lie about that... But I'll always have you as a friend right? And I know you wont abadon our children. " although he better not turn them away....

"More than a friend, chere... We family." He nodded slowly as he stretched out his neck, touching his nose to her shoulder. "Nothin' can change d'at... You said so y'self. Things bind us t'gether without rope... Invisible chans... D'is? D'is one o' them. But it ain't no chain. It lighter than that... It somethin' Ah carry wit' me forever..."
He let his gaze drift towards the path his son had disappeared down. "He so much like me it scary, chere... Couldn't leave you wit' that alone... They ours."

Kitara sighed as she let her head rest against his shrong shoulder for a moment before drawing away. Yes it would be hard to see him with another mare... but it would make him happy. His words struck her as profound and she nodded a little, though it did little justice for the ache in her heart. "Yes, We'll always be family Remy." and so help that mare if she hurts Remy.... she though to herself.
Her white hoove pawed at the ground as she cleared her throat and turned her gaze to match Remy's, down the path their son had gone. "We're family and Nothing will ever change that. Those are the cards Fate has delt us..." She was always going to carry a peice of Remy around with her, and he would always be the father of her children...But in the end she considered this best. After all... what else could two wild spirits do?
"He is very like you... haha, he's already planing on being quite the ladies man." she said with a small smile, an attempt to lighten the mood.

He would carry a piece of Kitara with him forever as well. She had given him three beautiful foals and so much more than that. She was his petite chere; his princess of the wilderness... And heavens help any stallion she found herself with after this. He'd have to go through hoops to prove that he was good enough for her... He'd see to it personally.
"You know, chere... You da best sort o' friend a stallion could have... Smart, beautiful, spirited..." A bit of that light returned to his eyes as he nipped playfully at her shoulder. "You jus' make sure Ah get ta meet whatever male tries to tame you so Ah can set him straight. No one tames the wind... Nothin'll ever hold you back. Your spirt'll still be racin' when Ah old an goin' grey."
His eyes rolled slightly at the mention of his son being a 'ladies man'. "Ah tryin' ta teach him right, chere... He headstrong. So's d'at girl o' yours... Gonna have t'make sure those boys keep an eye on her when she older..."

Kitara smiled as she cast a glance at Remy, he was in better spirits already and a hint of those glowing embers began to light his eyes once more. No matter how much it stung...Kitara knew she had made the right choice. She chuckled a bit and head butted him lightly on the shoulder. "We'll see about that, I should like to think I have a good taste in males. After all I ended up with you and not that... eye sore. You remember whats his face?" she laughed at the memory of when she had met Remy.
"Yes... I think they are all handfuls in their on way, the boys are going to be lady chasers... and the lil girl... I dont know about her. When she's older I just know she's going to be as wild as a forest fire....just like her Dad and Mum." she said with a broad grin at Remy.

"Ah'd have ta question your eyesight if you wound up with d'at one, chere." He nickered as he gave her a little nudge before shifting on his hooves. "Ah remember that. Ah remember everythin' from da moment we met... Never gonna forget racin' d'at storm with your brother."
He took a deep breath, releasing it slowly as he settled once more, tail flickering against his haunches."We jus' gotta prepair ourselves for da storm that's gonna come when d'ey older. Lady Nature musta thought there wasn't enough wild in the world... Had ta get us ta bring more into it."

She smiled and chuckled a bit. "I think I would have gone blind, had I looked at him much longer." she shook her head. "sometimes I have to wonder about lady nature myself... what with horses like that running around." she snorted and chuckled.
That storm, it had been one of the most magical nights she had ever had the pleasure of knowing. It was a side of her brother she had rarely seen as well. "I'll never forget that night as long as I live." she said quietly, her white hoof gently pawing at the ground.
As for the foals... she looked out whistfully in the direction they had gone. She could hear their laughter and playful shouts floating through the air. "mmm... You are right there, but if anyone could help bring true wild nature to this land It would be us."

"Lady Nature needs to make jokes every now and then, chere. Not every stallion can look like me." He held his head high, giving a little prance around their clearing before looking back to her with that glowing gleam in his eyes. Yes... His colts were just like him and he was little more than an oversized colt himself.

Kitara chuckled a bit and shook her head. "I would say thats less of a Joke and more like a crule punishment. However he seemed pretty... sure of himself. " She chuckled and shook her short mane, sauntering over to Remy holding her head high. "Yes yes, You are quite a catch, But dont you be letting that go to your head now. " she aimed to slam her hips into him and catch him off guard before playfully running off.
Things may not be turning out as she imagined, but at lest they where still going to be a family. One big family with 1 mother 3 kids and an over grown colt to boot.

His only response was a laugh as he took off into the woods after her. As long as there was still that spirit of freedom and fun between them things would be alright... They had their family and they would always have each other. They were family.

As Remy took off so did Kitara she smiled as she ran after him, and she left her pain behind her, as much as she could anyway. Her strong legs pounded the soil beneath her as she ran after that stallion, as she had done on many occsaions before.
