You can't vote until you're 18 because that's when you're legally considered an adult. When you're a minor, you're sort of like your parent's property, so you have to hope they vote in your best interests as well. There's no kind of litmus test you can do to see who's a ******** moron, and who isn't, so they do it this way.
I'm voting Kerry. I don't even want to get into a deep discussion on politics because a)It'd take way to long for me to type out everything I feel, b)Most of you don't care anyhow... if you want to know how I feel about something, ask me. blaugh c) I don't want to seriously offend someone with what I say, because some you just might believe everything that the news spoonfeeds you. It amazes me how many people think that Saddam was behind the 9-11 attacks. and d) I am so ******** sick of all this politics bullshite, and I just want this election to be over. I'm sick of political junkmail. I'm sick of the phonecalls. I'm sick of the commercials, the mudslinging, the trashtalking. Both candidates are assholes, and I don't really like either one of them. But I don't like people that lie about seriously important thing like, oh, say, NUCLEAR WAR. And only one of the two hasn't lied about that yet, so I'm gonna go with him. That, and I'm more of a Democrat, regardless of this whole terror crap. Actually.. I'm more a Libertarian than anything else... like they'd ever get a candidate on the national ballot though.
*sigh*
Two-party system sux0rs.
Oh, and Nader's only on the ballot in 5 or 6 states I think. But please... don't vote for him. If he hadn't stolen so many votes from the Democrats in 2000, we wouldn't have to deal with the hick we have in office now.
... Yeah, that was longer than intended, and I probably offended someone in the process, anyhow... meh.

It really doesn't matter...the only thing this election's going to decide is who's gonna nuke us first: terrorist organizations (if Kerry is elected), or the rest of the world (if Bush is elected). And they thought it was bad during the Cold War stare I'm not joking either...as long as there is an Executive Branch, we're probably going to instigate World War III in the next four years. Anyone who has a hard time believing that needs to wake up from their optimistic dreamland. Looking over this site might help too, even if it does appear to be some bogus hoax bullshit.

Kedian wishes to know who you voted for, even though I could just assume from the poll results that the majority (all 5!) voted for Kerry.

I didn't vote, for 2 reasons: a) I turned 18 like 3 days ago, and b) following the reasons in my previous post, it's not really of much consequence, is it? If I had voted, I would probably have voted for anyone but Kerry...'different' is *not* synonymous with 'better', despite what every young voter and their friend down the street thinks.

Well, I'm again in the minority. sweatdrop Just like at school.
I prefer Bush over Kerry, cause Kerry's entire campaign seemed to consist of, "What Bush does sucks, I do the opposite, so vote for me!"
Then again, I try to stay away from politics. They suck. *thumbs down*

I didn't because I'm registered in one county, we moved after school ended, and I'm now residing in yet another. sweatdrop That, and I wasn't told about needing to get an absentee ballot until a few days ago.

They suck. *thumbs down* Good summation of Kerry's campaign. It's also rather infuriating how almost everyone my age seems to be so blinded by how all the celebrities (Michael Moore, pretty much every god damn modern rock band there is) hate Bush that they're following along. If people have good reasons for choosing Kerry over Bush, good on them, but if they're doing it because some fat documentarian zealot hates him, they shouldn't be voting at all. stare I assume, of course, that my fellow Paladins all had good, politically-inclined reasons for voting how they did, if they did. A lot of other people I see, though, seem like they're acting in just the way I described above.

Kedian It doesn't look like Kerry is doing too well, but then again CNN doesn't have the results for a ton of the northern states. Still, it is somewhat close. http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pages/results/president/ If Kerry doesn't win, I might lend some weight to all the rigged election rumors running around...I can only see so much, but it's seemed to me that things are in Kerry's favor.

We're in debt on over 16 trillion dollars. If Bush stays, then we might was well have to ask Africa to donate us food.
