"I'm sorry if I've upset you," she said softly, her brows once more tugging down into a shallow frown. Suddenly, Mahoka stood and took a few more steps closer to the reminiscing Lion, as if to see more clearly what was wrong.
"You miss her, don't you?" She sighed, her breath barely more than a whisper. She tilted her head upwards, watching as the sky gradually became darker. "Sometimes, on my travels, it would rain. Not small April showers, but storms that were accompanied by bitter cold winds, stripping the colored autumn leaves from their branches and littering the ground with their cadavers. And do you know what the only thing that kept me going was? My memories," She turned to face him once more, her face pinched.
"Remember, Asi. Remember the good times you had. Don't live in the past, live each day as it comes, or life will be yours to miss. You know she's up there, watching over you. Do you really think that, when you look up at the stars, she wants you to be consumed by sadness and regret? No, I'm pretty sure she'd rather you smiled and remember all the beautiful moments you two had together." She rested her head on his shoulder comfortingly, nuzzling into his neck.

He leaned into his friend, thinking about her words. He sighed deeply and nodded. "Yeh be righ'." He said slowly, and smiled faintly. Mahoka was much different from the past, it was nice. And her advice was gladly recieved by the coffee colored male.
"Memeries shoul'be a good thin' and no be bad..." He sighed lightly, and after a minute his thoughts moved to the storms she'd mentioned, he'd never been in such a thing. The rains around here were usually light and brief. "Was rain nice?" After no response came he glanced down and smiled slightly, she was asleep.
