If you play the authentic DDR remixes and hear the content of the music. It says in invisible, but obvious words. Most DDR mixes (excluding the Disney mix) is not intended for young kids. Just listen to the 3rd mix songs.. or any of E-rotic's songs. If taken as a serious hobby, It does get pricey. otherwise, it's like $40 for a U.S. mix and $20 for a cheapo pad.

As for the arcade machines, The price is set by the people who work at the arcade. I've seen someone boot up an arcade machine many times. The price of the game can be changed very easily. Talk it up with your arcade's people. if you get enough people to follow your cause, you might be able to make something work.

I understand that the metal pads and hard foam pads are a little expensive, but hey, they aren't going to give them out for free. So just save up your pennies and nickels and buy what you need if you're serious about playing the game.

I think a dollar for three songs is a bit much. Lucky for me, I found a very small arcade near me that it is only 50 cents. The only problem is that no one is ever there it watch you play. <> I also have DDR at home so I play there all the time for free. It was well worth the 65 dollars I spent.
