i think you should get a guitar that you could be happy with for awhile. That way, you won't start wanting a new guitar two months into getting your first.

Chaos A.D. ~Spirit of Dragons~ Chaos A.D. Spade Sanosuke Ibanez Jumpstart pack Way better than the Squier Strat pack. squires are the worst guitars ever made, do not buy it do what that guy said You mean the Squire Strat pack, right?... I have a Squire Strat Affinity, and I love it 3nodding
OK, on topic...
I don't know much about the starter packs, but if you're not aiming to get a pack, I can probably help you...
I own, as I stated before, a Squire Strat Affinity. I really enjoy playing it, and I would recommend it if that was what you were looking for.
I also have an Ibanez GAX30, which isn't on the same level as my Affinity. It doesn't have a whammy bar, but is a good guitar anyway. I would also recommend that one, too, if you were looking for a simple, not so fussed up guitar.
Good luck with your new guitar 3nodding
i just hate squires, atleast the start ones... Oh, yeah, I'm not too crazy about any starter guitar actually... LOL
My Affinity is a good guitar, though. Have you ever tried an Affinity?

Don't buy anything to cheap though. Most cheap guitars are crap. instead of buying a $200 guitar pack, buy a $200 guitar. I have a $300 dollar Fender strat and it is excellent.

i'd say since you already have a guitar, save up for a real long time and get a quality one, so you'll have a good guitar and won't need a new one. i have a gibson SG special and i absolutely love it, but it took me like 3 years to save up for it cuz it was $800.

Save your money. One of my Three is a squire, and its terrible. My friend brings his Squire to school for music, and I uttlerly refuse to play it, It insults my skill D: <
To start with, I would go for the Ibanez.

I bought the Strat pack back in the day..... And boy is it a ho bag and a half. The strat has a tremelo as you may know and for a begginner this is just a temptation to put your guitar out of tune plus it makes it 10 times harder to change strings. And when you do change strings and like any normal guitar player you will put 10s on it and the bridge you lift right out of the guitar it will still play but holy crap it looks wierd. Buy a nice acoustic builds your endurance, fingure strength, and it just better to learn on it will also teach you to be careful

x_ChiChi Hmm the Ibanez jump start guitar isn't very.. Attractive. :l I dunno. I guess I'll go for the Strat then? Ty heart who the ******** cares about what the guitar looks like? its the sound and feel that matters. look at Stevie Ray Vaughns old 50's strat, not his signiture, but the first one, its all torn up and nasty, but its got a beautiful tone.

It couldn't stay in tune for 5 seconds, and its neck was just horrible. Fret buzz on every area of the neck, ON EVERY STRING. Horrible.

How dare you say that the Ibanez isn't attractive! I love my RG and I'm hoping to get an ESP M-II soon. Pointy guitars are the only way to go. 'Specially if it's a Razorback.
