"Momo it is, then." Kizuka nodded to her. She had never heard of a Goddess of Love, much less Mo'onasai's name. Indeed, the only Gods Kizuka had ever given much thought to were the ones she had met, and her ever-worshiped Storm King. Her eyes ran over Momo once more, as if to re-assess the damage on her body.

STanding, the lioness stretched herself out and took another small drink from the puddle. "As I said, there's more water further in." Kizuka turned to look over her shoulder at Momo. "..." It was hard to decide what to do. Momo hadn't responded to her offer, and to make it a second time would seem pushy. Why did she even feel the need to help this creature? Once more her mind went back to Ushaufu, and Kizuka brushed the thought away with all the force she could muster.

"If you decide to take to the desert again, you'd be better off at night. It'll be cold, but as devestating as the heat of the day. ... If you want to stay, It would probably be best for you to stay close to my daughter and I. We have a deal with the pride here to stay, but I don't know how they would feel about other 'tresspassers'. The lands are rather... hazardous, as you can see, for the time being, and they can't allow just everyone to stay. You're not exactly fit to travel, though."

Momo's ears flicked against her skull, a little nervous as she took in the lioness' words. She wasn't sure on what to do, so perhaps this other could give her a little advice.

"Well," she started off, "I'm not sure. I....don't really want to go back to the desert, but if I might not be accepted here, I don't think it'd be best to stay here either." She glanced at the ground, even wondering where 'here' really was. It was a jungle, no matter how you looked at it, and she had been in a jungle before, so was it the same?

She didn't want to ask, so she dropped the thought like a rock. Focus on where to go tonight, worry about it later. "Umm....could I...stay with you for the night, perhaps?" She wasn't sure if it would be okay, but she had invited, and after a night's sleep in a safe place, she could think about what to do....tomorrow.

"Of course," Was the simple reply. After another drink, Kizuka turned back fully towards the Goddess-in-disguse. The female could obviously use a rest and a meal--that, at least, Kizuka could help with. She rose to her feet and gestured to the uprise of the bank with her head. "this way. Things will surely look a little better after a night's rest."

Kizuka climbed up the side first, pausing there to wait on Momo. "... You're not going to have an easy time leaving this place at all, i'm afraid to say. Its surrounded by desert, and the far end is where the pride lives. They're not hostile, so don't be afraid, just...." The pause she couldn't help putting in her words was filled with the slightest sigh, "Not the pride I remember, so I can't say with total confidence how they'll react. We--my daugher and I--are looking to join their ranks, however, so you should be fine with us."

There was a shrug through the lionesses body. A glance up towards the sky showed that the sun was dipping significantly in the sky. Hadn't it only been morning just a little while ago? It had taken a long time to get this far in, Kizuka frowned... She'd left Kimaji alone a lot longer than she'd intended. The cub was near adulthood, yes, but Kizuka couldn't help but feel incredibly protective of Kimaji. "How long have you been traveling?"

Mo'onasi offered a small nod in thanks for her acceptance in her choise, and also for the information on the lands. Her thin body didn't want to function too smoothly, and thus her walk was more of a limp as she followed Kizuka, struggling a bit to climb up the side, though she felt like she had gotten a bit of a better grasp on how to do it this time around.

"Oh," she said softly, not wanting to interrupt Kizuka with the information she was freely giving. She perked up when the lioness' head raised to look towards the sky. Was something wrong? Perhaps, but maybe it would be best for Momo to stay ignorant. She was tired, and hoped that the less she knew, the less she would worry.

"I....don't know how long I've been traveling." The words flowed out of her mouth shakely, as she tried to not remember too many details of the incident. "After I was....attacked...I was in a haze for a while. But I don't know if it was days or hours." She blinked back the tears that played with the edges of her eyes, swallowing the lump that wanted to grow in her throat. She couldn't let her emotions eat at her, not right now. Maybe in her dreams, nightmares, but not now. Kizuka was taking her somewhere, and she didn't want to slow her down anymore then she had already.

Kizuka's brow furrowed at the sight of tears. Well, an attack was certainly a bad memory... but not something too uncommon in the world they lived in. She let it alone, however, since it wasn't much of her buisiness. Instead, she nodded a little. "I'd say days at a guess, but I'm not authority." Momo needed a place to reast, more than anything. Continuing on, Kizuka helped Momo where and when she could over the terrain.

Finally they came to the small cave they'd been using as their own. Kimaji wasn't there, but the scent of her was strong enough that she had to have been there recently. Kizuka nodded to herself and gestured with her head for Momo to enter. "You can rest here. There's a stream not too far off to the left here, it has some better water than what we found earlier."

Mo'onasi slowly followed Kizuka, a little unsettled that the lioness took a guess that she had been out fora few days. It worried Momo moreso on her health then anything, for that meant she hadn't eaten anything in quite some time. Long enough to make her feel sick. She....she would get through this.

When Kizuka showed her the cave, fatigue finally caught up with her as her mind checked off this place as safe. She stumbled into the cave, exhaustion taking over her. She made it in a few feet more before letting her tired legs fall beneath her. She glanced over to Kizuka with sorrowful, yet thankful eyes. She let herself settle a bit before speaking, not wanting to stumble through her words. "T-thank you...." was all that came out at first, as she lowered her small head onto her paws. "I'm sorry....so tired..." She stifled a yawn, that only lightly poked through as her eyes slowly began to close. She was so tired...so tired....but felt safe with Kizuka.

Kizuka watched the lioness enter the cave, then turned to scan the trees surrounding them. Kimaji wasn't here. That was fine, of course, for now. Beyond that, the land wasn't so dangerous that she couldn't leave the lioness alone for a litle while to find her daughter if need be. For now, she decided it was better to wait. As she began to settle down beside the entrance to the cave, Mo'onasi spoke up behind her.

The lioness's ears swivvled back first, then she turned her head to watch her. The words were hard to hear, but their meaning came through as Momo's eyes closed and her body stilled. The poor, poor thing, Kizuka's thoughts couldn't help but reitorate. She gave the slightest incline of her head towards the lioness, then turned her sights back on the jungle beyond as she waited for her daughter. Perhaps it was a mistake to bring another into their mess, but it was a mistake that she was happy to make. If you didn't have kindness in this world, what did you have? Either way, it was the right thing to do. As long as she could, she knew she'd help Momo.. she obviously needed it.
