Papina relaxed, if only a little. So he couldn't read minds, just expressions. She sighed. Yet another thing to learn - controling her visible reactions. She winced at the last part. "Maybe not, but think... Catholics... or something like that. They tend to get nasty when messed with... This group has their..." She paused to think of a different word, knowing that her mother would not like the next word she had been about to use, "... heads... stuck in the medivel times and think that they are these mighty knights come to defend the 'one, true' god against 'imposters' like... ours it seems." She rolled her eyes and muttered under her breath, "Get a life you idjets and quit picking on others!"
Crazy. The whole lot of those fanatics. Crazy... and dangerous...

"Well my normal method for dealing with zealots is to just eliminate the lot of them together in an explosion however with the need to keep Nara alive, that makes things a bit...more difficult." He smiles at Halcyon. "But I like difficult, this wouldn't be the first time I've assassinated zealots."

Papina goggled at him. She should have expected this - he was a drow after all - but somehow... just hearing someone casually talk about killing others in various ways just... unsettled her. "Ah..." she said faintly, acknowledging what he said. She was all for vaguely thinking about what to do with the Templars, but actually thinking about killing them en-mass without remorse? It was enough to give you the shudders. She had to take a quick glance at Halcyon to see how he was reacting to all of this.
... At least she knew someone was willing to do something about the Templars. She'd take hope and relief where she could find it.

Cordain nods slightly to Papina, "So why are you without a parent here?" He asks her with a tilt of his head, "I would be interested in meeting the parent of a plant woman." He states as he stands up holding his son in his arms still.

Papina came close to a snort as she exhaled heavily through her nose. "She's more guardian then parent, but the only reason she isn't here is that I convinced her that I needed some time and space to myself without her hovering over me." She had to lift her head to keep looking at him. "She isn't plant as well, if that's what you were wondering." She rolled her eyes. "She makes sure we're both covered at home in case one of us brushes past the other, since she isn't certain if she's allergic to my... ability... or not." She sighed before absently tugging a piece of fabric back over some of the green skin that was starting to show.

Cordain looks up, "...I have an arboretum that's part of my apartment...You'd be welcome there and could happily go with minimal clothing and basking in the sun."
His tone was calm with no signs of deceit.

o.0! Papina jerked her head back and blinked, caught totally off guard by the offer. Say what? Arbor... tree... An indoor tree garden? A flush caught hold of her cheeks as the second part of the offer finally sunk in. She could? She never did before... Still... It was an offer to consider... Just one best kept from her mother. If she ever found out Papina was even considering it once she heard... "Ah..." She started in response, stuck on what to say. He sounded quite sincere in his offer, and it didn't sound like he was going to... well... watch or anything like that...
Would she minded if he watched, if he did watch? She didn't know.

He smirks slightly at her, "If you require, your mother is welcome to come as well, she can enjoy my extensive collection of wines, many older than this city." He tilts his head, "I can also provide food for a wide variety of food and cultures." he says.

((*finally decides on a version* sweatdrop ))
Her blush grew deeper as he smirked at her. She really needed to get a better grip on her expressions. She was almost painfully obvious to him, it seemed. Not to mention she was beginning to find him... well... cute. Her mother did say that part of growing older was noticing those of the other gender, but Papina personally thought that she was still a bit young for that part! She did not need to start noticing guys right now. The fact that she was starting to dress in styles that would get guys to notice her... flew right over her head.
She was so on this track that when she heard what he said, the first thought that went through her mind was It sounds like a setup for a DATE!!! She had to blink that thought away and try to think about this rationally... DATE!!! ... or not... DATE!!!
Definitely too young for this! gonk

He tilted his head, long white hair falling over his shoulder like silken waves of snow. He was amused by just how confused Papina was, just how massively confused and then he laughed lightly. "Ah...The whole point was to reassure your mother, guardian, whatever she is to you that you were safe in my arboretum and that I did not have any intentions or desire to threaten or harm you." he states to Papina.
He then smiles a bit, "That aside...you are a tad to young for me as it appears." He shifts how he holds Halcyon before setting him down, "...You're gonna have to start walking on your own..." he says.
Halcyon just looks up and nods as he stands up and looks at Papina, smiling at her faintly.

It appeared there were no bounds to how deeply Papina could blush, first as he cleared up what he meant, and again when he said that she was too young for him. "Ah..." She said faintly, mentally berating herself for ever thinking that he could be asking for a date. She managed to nod in agreement to the offer, before she was distracted by Halcyon. She smiled hesitantly back at the crystal child, before the smile grew more confident.
First, they talked about Musaeum, then about the Templars, then assassinations, parents, aboretums, wines, food, and about how young she was! Oh, this child was in for one hey of an upbringing with a guardian as diverse as Cordain had just shown. She knew her head was spinning already from so much food for thought, and this was from a single meeting. If Halcyon was going to be living with Cordain...
... she couldn't wait to see what influences would show on Halcyon as he grew. There were so many possiblities!

Cordain looks down at Halcyon, "We should be heading back, he needs to eat, and I want him to spend a bit more time reading before dinner. It was a pleasure Papina." he then holds his hand out with his address upon a card.

Papina "Mmm"d in understanding at his reason to go. She held out her free hand to take the card and carefully tucked it away after glancing at it. "You too, Cordain. Halcyon." She nodded to both of them. She'd be staying a bit longer before she went home, although it was nearly time to call her mother...

Cordain makes his way out of the park, with Halcyon toddling along next to him smiling happily as he holds his crystal. The paperweight seemed to gain fluidity for a brief moment before it was a perfect sphere of crystal. Cordain didn't even bat an eyelash at this, nor did Halcyon who put the crystal back in it's pouch.
