“Hennley, huh?” Marlow stepped back, with an expression of mild disappointment on his face. “Why...” he muttered, then began to tug on his own hair. “Hennley... That’s the one with the voice that’s so monotone, that repeats dates over and over as if they were interesting... Why... Why didn’t I think of taking Hennley? Do you have any idea how much sleep I could have gotten in that class?” He stated this as if it were an actual dilemma that other people would care about - equivalent to a natural disaster in a third world country. But his look of despair changed to one of hope, perhaps even triumph. “Maybe I can get kicked out of Macintosh and transfer into Hennley... then we could be together, wouldn’t that be great?”

However, if anything, Marlow was a realistic man, and wanted his options open. He zeroed in on Kev and Kaori, and made his way in between them. “And what about you two? Macintosh? Anybody?” He looked to Kev first, then waved his hand dismissively, “Well, we all know you won’t be taking any notes either way, but what about you, you sassy thing?” A guy who was wearing a dress to school. Those Japanese were so crazy. “Do you have your schedule yet?”

(( thank you. smile I can't manage to make a normal person as a character. lol))

((Which is likely why I love you them so much. ninja ))

Kev glanced back at the uber-moocher, a rather hurt espression on his face. "Hey. I do take notes," he said, tone defensive. The affect was ruined, however, when he added with a small grin, "As long as I'm not asleep. But, yeah, I got Macintosh this year 'cos I pissed McLaggen off last year. Didn't pay attention the entire time and got straight A's, so she got all bitchy and said I was cheating. Which I wasn't I was sitting by all the dead beats. Alan Veels and Peikly, you know?"

Kev was babbling. He was almost always babbling. It was a wonder he was still popular.

Kaori smiled at the boy how had fell down. "Daijoubu desu ka. ((may have spelt that wrong...)) Are you alright?" As the shaggy looking twin started to speak to him, Kaori turned back around. "Main office. Ok. Ano, if it's not too much trouble, can you show me how to get there? I get lost easily." He gave a little laugh and looked down at his feet.

Realizing that someone else was speaking to him, Kaori looked up at a new face with bleach blond hair. "Iie, I haven't gotten my schedual yet. I haven't even gotten to my room." Kaori smiled at the other boys, hoping that he would be able to be friends with all of them because he was going to be at this school for a while. It was going to be a little strange for him, staying in one place for such a long time. Once he was placed in the orphanage, he hadn't spent more than a year at any of his potential parents' houses. This was also the first boarding school he had gone to as well. Another strange experiance that he would have to get used to.

“Ouch, way to eat it buddy,” Marlow pointed his finger at the freshman who fell and winked. If Chris was hoping for a quiet life at Gravard, he was probably too close to the wrong bunch. “So yeah, busted for cheating and you didn’t even get to? That’s rough. That’s why I usually don’t try too hard anyway. Hey, I have an Idea.” the way he spoke, one could hear the capitalization. He didn’t talk too hurriedly, but he certainly did talk a lot - perhaps out of some sort of machismo that wouldn’t let Kev out babble him. “You and Willy could switch classes, then I could spend all class looking at him with his pretty little serious face AND get his notes.” Nobody was going to go for that if he pushed it, so he decided to let it slide for now - so when they thought it was a good idea later, it would be like they thought of it themselves.

He looked to Kaori again, a bit confused. What the hell was this guy saying? He only caught about half of it, and most of it didn’t sound like English. Then again, he wasn’t really paying attention. “The office? By the way, the name’s Marlow.” He avoided his first name, as it was always easier that way. From his pocket, he pulled out a business card, which only had his surname and current “address”: ‘MARLOW - ROOM 523, THE TRINITY BUILDING,’ “Here’s my card, in case you’re in need of my services.” He winked again, which likely made him appear to be a gigolo.

"Ah, hai." Chris bowed to the sempai. "Boku wa totemo daijoubu. Demo, anata wa?" ((to translate: Ah, yes. I am very fine. But, what about you?)) He nodded his head, "Certainly, I'll take you to the main office. I was heading over there myself. Oh, by the way, I'm Christopher Crosshill, Chris for short." He smiled and put out his hand. Noticing the kimono, Chris assumed that his companion was from Japan. He laughed to himself, knowing that he would understand his japanese.

All this thinking about Japan, reminded him of his family. He sorrowly sighed as he remebered all the fun times he had there as a child. And his brothers and his mother, whom he had missed so much already.

But realizing he was still in the presence of others he quietly shook away the sadness.

Will glanced up again. "Willy," now, was he? The nerve of such people was quite surprising. He looked as if he were about to reply scathingly, but Kev beat him too it: "No way am I taking Hennely," he replied, his tone bored. His bright blue hues followed rather lazilly as Marlow turned to what Kev assumed to be as some sort of foreign exchange student. It was weird having all these other people speak some foreign language that wasn't European. Kev spoke some nice Italian and was working on his French, but non-western wasn't the stuff for him.

Will had, as per usual, returned to his book. It wasn't at all interesting (to him, at least), but it was required. He glanced up again at his brother for a moment before his eyes slid slowly onto Marlow. "You look like a whore when you state it that way," he said bluntly before resuming his reading. Will wasn't one for sugar-coated words.

“Oh... does it?” Marlow seemed genuinely surprised at Will’s criticism, but its effect didn’t last long as he moved in close to that blunt twin, his charming smile back and as big as ever. “Well then, if that’s the case, you can have -two-cards.” He presented them to him between his middle and forefinger, preparing to tuck them in his book and shirt respectively. “Remember, it’s always half-price for you, Sugarpants.” He winked again, and it remained up in the air whether or not he was serious. It was always impossible to tell with him, and he seemed twice as onry now that he was no longer a freshman and subject to being dunked into trashcans. The good four inches he had grown over the summer had infused his ego with a little extra something too.

The look Marlow received from the more studious of the twins was quite unrivaled in its level of intense dislike and scathing. It was as if the bleached-blonde teen were some sort of disgusting bug that would, after a moment of intense repulsion, would be delt with accordingly by some lower servant or other because it simply wouldn't be worth dealing with something so repulsive himself. ((bleh. Too long. Hope it makes sense.))

"Oi, lay of him, alright? He's was born a hard a**, so you're just wasting your time." That was, of course, Kev.

Marlow looked up from Will to Kev and put on a fake pout. “But! He’s so cute when he’s annoyed!” But he wouldn’t press the point any longer. Lifting his hands up in surrender (but not before he made sure that Will really did have his address handy) he began to back away. “Alright, alright. Hey, save me a seat near the window in Macintosh if you get there first. Deal?” He didn’t wait for a reply, but waved as he moved on, stopping to blow a kiss towards Will before skipping off towards the building. He didn’t know why he had so much fun teasing Will, but his reactions were incredibly adorable - and Marlow knew that the twin didn’t dislike it too much, otherwise he would have gotten a punch to the nose. Alas, he still had to get to his homeroom early, so he could make sure to get a good seat.

((Oh! Sorry Cemal...))

Chris turned back to Marlow, "Oh, nice to meet you..." He took the card, "Thank you..." Chris smiled and saw their confused looks, "I was just asking him if he was alright after my carelessness." He gently knocked his head, sticking out his tongue.

Then noticing his childish behavior he quickly became all flushed, "Oh, was that rude? I'm sorry." He covered his mouth and cheeks to hide his blushing.

Kaori gave Marlow bow and took the business card and giggled at the wink Marlow had given him as he looked it over. He smiled softly and wished that he had one to give to Marlow as well, but he hadn't thought to bring any with him to England. He put the card in his sleeve and smiled up at Marlow. "It's nice to meet you, Marlow-san. My name is Kaori Lee." He liked Marlow already, he seemed like a fun guy to hang around.

He turned to Chris and gave him a little bow. "Hai, Daijoubu. Do you think we can go to the office now? I'd like to make sure all my stuff is here as soon as posible."

"Ikkimasho. Let's go." Chris said turning in the direction he was heading earlier. "Kaori, are you from Japan too? Or is it that you can talk Japanese?" He had a questionable look on his face, he figured out that this could result in some friends and make the long stay fun.

They started to come up to the main office where Chris caught a glimpse of his gaurdian. He smiled and lightly waved. That was his dad's butler, who had been more like a father to Chris that his real dad.

((Always cute. heart ))

Homeroom. Marlow stopped as he reached the door to his class, then waited. If he remembered correctly (and he usually did), Kev had the same class as him. And he wanted to talk to Kev. Over the summer he had come up with a plan, a rather good one he thought, but it required his help. Will was going to keep refusing him forever anyway. As students clamored into the room, he gave one his backpack and gave him short instructions about where to reserve his seat. Nobody would bother stealing from Marlow or arguing about his seat of choice. In fact, everyone had already avoided sitting in it, leaving that place by the window open and ready for him to arrive. Nobody wanted to be off of his good list, after all.
