Badgergrrrl Joss-Box Badgergrrrl Joss-Box extremely homophobic! they found out about me being an FFA because my brother caught me with the 300 lb kid at our school. i went with a guy before that was big but they assumed i was just in a low spot. then they saw it was becoming a trend--i just confessed. but i know theyll kick me out if they know about my previous girlfriends. my dad thinks its sick and demented, my mother is just religious. either way i loose. Ouch, that sucks. And its stupid of your brother to have assumed that you were a FFA because you were hanging out with someone who's bigger (unless I misread that and you were doing something else), and that's not something to freak out over in the first place. As for your parents' homophobia, I'm sorry. I've totally been there. But when I came out, it wasn't entirely as bad as I thought it was going to be. My mother, who was also very religious at that point, actually had no problem with it. And when I accidentally came out to my father, who I knew hated gays and thought was going to kill me, he was also very accepting of both me and my girlfriend. So there may be hope yet. Still, I offer you my sympathy and lots of hugs *hugs* thanks. that helps. I did tell my mother but she thought i was trying to insult her cuz we were fighting about how i keep secrets from her. So now she just thinks i was kidding. i just never corrected her i guess cuz shes ok with gays, she just wont be very happy if she finds out her own daughter is bisexual. You're welcome! And in a weird way I'm not surprised that your mom is okay with gay people but would freak out if she found out you're bi. Parents can have lots of double-standards when it comes to their children. There's also a lot of people, I find, who are okay with homosexuality but think bisexuality doesn't exist (which is completely ridiculous). My mother's like that. I guess I'm lucky I'm a full blown dyke, I don't think she could handle it otherwise sweatdrop that kinda makes me laugh a little. thats interesting that somepeople dont believe bis exist. ive never heard that. but then again, people normally say stuff behind my back than to my face.

Awww. *hugs* For that last bit. And yeah, we even talked today in my Sex and Gender class about how the binary system of gay/straight makes bisexuality "impossible" according to our society. I hate living in this country sometimes.

I believe most people are bi by nature, and turned straight by society, or gay by society... I dunno, not that some can't be more inclined one way or the other--I just think people would naturally want to hump anything that moves. So long as it feels good.
It's a good thing.

It's a good thing. yeah every good scientist will tell you--everyone is bisexual!! its either if your closer to liking girls or guys on the scale. you have to be bisexual or you cant have friends. friendship is based on a miniscule bit of sexual attraction. Other wise, yes, i know people who claim to be straight but will hump it if will consent.

It's a good thing. Agreed. I respect the opinion of people who think that sexuality is a choice, but I think that there has to be a base biological attraction to one or the other or both in order for someone to be with another person no matter what their sex or gender is. I do think, though, that everyone is probably a little bit bisexual. Not sure if I think everyone's the same amount of bisexual, though, and is turned gay or straight by society. I honestly believe that I am genetically/biologically way more attracted to women, and generally not attracted to men.

I'm always open to the idea that maybe I'm wrong. I call myself straight but would probably be best defined as bi, I just don't feel like bothering to be labeled...
But I haven't ever been soley attracted to one gender over the other, so I admit it probably isn't something I can understand completely. Until I experience it, I just have to base my opinions off what I see... And for the most part it seems as though most people are bi and since most of my friends are straight it just makes sense to me that it was because that's how we were raised to be, it just came natural.

Fuzzy Necromancer Bullshit. Friendship does not require sexual attraction. Yeah, I have a friend or two who I do not feel anything like that for, I actually find the thought of doing them disturbing, then I have those that are "just a friend" but I can see why others would want to do them, and then I have the ones who I would totally do if given the chance.

friend ship and sexual attraction? yeah there should be absolutely no co-relation to such because if there was, that does not sound like as you just said a "just friends" friendship
