The stallion repressed a chuckle at the mention of fate. She seemed a sweet filly now that he'd got over being annoyed with her. Still, there was no harm in believing in such things if it made you happy. Somehow Maurice couldn't believe in fate and destiny though; he preferred to think that his actions were his own.
The idea that he only did things because he had been designed to do them or because so higher power had intervened to make things happen to him seemed ludicrous. Why would higher beings take the time out of their no doubt busy schedules to fiddle with the lives of mere mortals? Still, some of his beliefs would probably seem damn silly to other people so all was fair in the end. Silliness was, after all, mostly a matter of perspective.
"Well, 'm glad of that," the bright-eyed Nequus said with a smile. "I do go off ramblin' at times s' stop me if y' notice me doin' it. Unless y' don' mind me babblin' on that is," he said with a grin and a nod. “I reckon ‘m goin’ t’ go explorin’ soon,” he went on. “Any particularly impressive views I ought t’ check out?”

Chandara smiled, it had been a bit tense there for a but had finally relaxed. Fate was the rule of the universe as Chandara belived. She flicked her tail once more contently. Her head was raised and looked out to the dark ocean. Chandara listened to Maurice talk tossing her purple mane aside.
"It's alright" she smiled turing her head to face Maurice once more. "I enjoy listening to others." she told him.
The moon equus paused for a moment and thought. "The ocean by far is the most beautiful." she raised her beautiful head and stared at the sky.
"I must wander once more, the night sky becons me"

Maurice nodded slowly to the mare's words. "Right then... well... Maybe I'll see y' again at some point then." She didn't seem like such a bad sort anymore. Bloody odd, yes, but not bad. He wouldn't be in a hurry to seek her out for further talk but if they did happen to meet he wouldn't brush her off.
"Well then," the stallion went on, turning his eyes to the sea below them. "I'll be off too; see y’ Chandara." So saying, the Ichsa gave the other Nequus a nod and trotted forward, hoping to avoid a flowery farewell. Coming to the edge of the cliff he spread his tendril wings and dropped towards the great body of water below.
With or without the weird mare, he decided with a soft smile as the ocean rushed up towards him, this had to be the best day of his life to date and from here on he only expected things to get better.
