The dark stallion thought for a moment, then answered slowly, "I roam the lands and find new sights and smells to delight by. There is much I have not seen. I would like to before the father soquili claim me."
His calm eyes stared at her.

She looking at him with a complete inocnet confusion expression. She blinked a few times not clearly understanding the last part but she then smiled after a few moments.
"I like to follow the butterflys. Cause maybe then I'll see my mother." she said seeming cheerful. She was so naieve at times not know that a butterfly could not in any way be her mother.

How strange, "Your mother? Will the butterflies go to your mother?" He tilted his head at her. She seemed so innocent and quite taken to dreaming.
He felt confused but rather pleasant.

"No silly!" She giggled as she pick up one of her hoofs the placed it back on the ground. "my mother is a butterfly." She said smiling.
"Though I've seemed to miss place her but she will be back soon I just know it." She said softly as she looked up at him with a bright smile. She then looked to the sky as the sun began to shine in threw the clouds.
"Ah the sun!" She said softly as she turned around randomly in place as her hair danced behind her. She began to giggle a little as she looked at him.
"what does your mother look like?" She said softly.

Now he was even more perplexed. A butterfly, mother to a soquili?
Perhaps he was dreaming...but the mare seemed very real before him.
He peered closely at her, delighting in her happiness but all the more confused,
"A butterfly....is your mother? However did she.....mmm.....well......yes the sun...."
Stranger things have existed surely....
"I have never known my mother....I grew up wild, far from here" he then said softly, gazing up at the sun.

The white and purple mare smiled brightly. She the looked at him smiling.
"Well I woke up one day you see and the only thing around me was a butterfly. She looked just like me so why couldn't she be my mother?" she said smiling brightly with her neieve-ness. She had no idea that she two was a wild soquili and that she was to young to know better that a butterfly could never give birth to a soquili.

He snorted slightly, " well..........because they are of a different being than us. You're a soquili while a butterfly is an insect. Your mother must be a soquili.....like us...." he tried explaining, although he wasn't sure if she would understand.

She looked at him for a long time not sure to grow upset or confused. She began to shift her weight as she let a few growns escape her. She then looked away a little turning slightly. Her world seemed to be shattering before her it seemed. She realized that a butterfly could never be her mother yet she was young and helpless. She then began to wounder about her mother what had happened to her and if she was still alive.
"what am I gona do..." She asked herself softly somewhat forgetting the dark male with wings was not farfrom her and could hear if he chose to.

His eyes misted over, she seemed sad now.
Walking slowly to her side, Notte nudged at her gently, "You will find your mother someday, your soquili mother." His large black wings fluttered open, one laying on her back as he tried to comfort her.
Poor thing.....for so long she thought a butterfly as her mother.
The stallion had no herd of his own, and it was lonely. More so perhaps for this mare with only butterflies as companions.

She looked at the other male getting a little cheeryfull. "You really think so?" She said as she leaned into him a little liking them comfort. Though she didn't stay there long not wanting him to get uncomfortable.

"perhaps I can accompany you part of the way until you find some clues to find your family?" he offered, swishing his tail as he thought.
