Wolf Tower by Tanith Lee is a really great book, and it was ages after I finished it that I could finally get my hands on any of the sequels, but once I did, I was sorely disappointed. The second in the series is passable, the third isn't even that much, and they all seem to increase in mediocraty as you go down the line. I don't know what happened with it, because I loved Wolf Tower, but the rest just didn't live up to its legacy.

The most dissapointing book I ever read was Thirsty by M.T. Anderson. I heard great reviews about it but...it just wasn't my cup of tea, the ending totally sucked and they took such a turn on vampires that it just, sounded really dumb and corny.
I am the Cheese, it was good, I liked it but...the ending was just, different. And it was kind of confusing.
As much as I love the movie and hate to burn it, Girl, Interrupted. It was interesting in some parts but other parts were just boring, and I found that it didn't really tell a story like the movie...

The runelords saga. The book was too predictable. people with money in the series could obtain a way to take the attributes of men (strength, dexterity, and the like) to make themselves more powerful. The book is boring when every soldier is a friggin' superman whee

I agree with the second one not being up to snuff, but I think that's because Argul, who we all know is a sexy beast, was not in it. I would have to say the most disaponting books I have ever read were those "His Dark Materials" books by Philip Pullman or whoever were not ver good, mainly because they were like a rollercoaster. Some parts had you captivated, but a paragraph later you were bored out of your skull.it just continued like that, and took me 4 years to finish the entire series, becasue I kept putting the books down. gonk

I read a book called the Thief Lord. I love it, till the end. That's when the author put a whole bunch of magic into it and I thought it just died.

I've giving disappointing books to a nearby church which is having a yard sale. Some of the books I had bought, others were free from either friends or clubs at school. Trying to free up room on my book shelves, but I still have to stack a lot of books on top of others... xd

Fallen Angels by Tracy Chevalier was really dissapointing. She wrote Girl with a Pearl Earring and Lady and the Unicorn. I really liked the other two but it was so hard to get through Fallen Angels.

I enjoyed a book called "The Messenger" It was good, kind of gritty and pretty intense. Everything was going fine, until the chapter before the last one, the author gave himself a literary cameo. There was a scene where this guy walks into the main characters house, and introduces himself as something along the lines of: "I made everything happen, I am responsible, etc.." For a while, I went along with it, because I thought that it was just some weird plot twist. But no. That one pointless scene really detracted from the quality of the book.

There are no books I really hate but there are books where it parts are unfinished, like there should be more, and it is never competed in the book. I can't name any like that at this moment but simalur are the books that seem like they should have another chapter to finshish, or another book in the series. Messenger (by Lois Lowry) and House of Scorpian(by Nancy Farmer) are like that, good books, but seem like they need another book.

I am the Cheese was pretty boring... my dad made me read it to 'discover' something. confused Tamora Pierce's Trickster's Queen was so disapointing as she could have made it waaaay better!! And COME ON J.K. Rowling! Order of the Pheonix and the Half Blood Prince were sooo depressing! (I wanted ron or something to die instead of Dumbledore.)
