diamonds and pearls is this similar to accupucnture There is a physical side to acupuncture which states that activating certain pressure points will cause the body to react in a certain way. The metaphysical side states that the chakras create lines of energy through the body through which energy flows. placing pins along these lines can redirect the flow of this energy to bring about a desired result.

Not really is it related to chakras, The chakras are more the emotional and trying to eliminate the bad rather than using physical action its more so mental

I disagree, as the Chakras are centers for the Prana or life energy that flows through us. This energy may not be measurable but it is physiological, not metaphysical. Think back in time when there were no instruments that could measure the small electrical impulses our brains create. The energy that flows through the Chakras has a profound physical effect on us, not just emotional.

Chakras are not to be played and fooled with, unless you are practcing Dzog Rim from a cycle of Tantra - and you'd need a 3 day empowerment from a Teacher, such as Kalachakra, Hayagriva, Guhyagarbha,. and so on.

True but chakras once opened are a constant form of energy in the body difficult though it its to open them...And I had no teacher explaining them to me but rather you do it with someone present in the room or it can get out of line.

No. the chakras are always open, and not always blocked. the actual issue is not with the chakras (saying for example, you had your throat chakra blocked - it would be impossible for speech, and so on). the issue is with knotted channels that keep the chakras turning. They have to be untied, so they can spin. and if they ar eknotted, that si why the chakras are "blocked". Metta, Sherab

As a Kundalini yogi, I occasionally use Chakra-meditations as part of my practice. However, I place more emphasis on the kundalini/central passage flow than on focusing on or manipulating the Chakra centers.

My Channels and Chakras opened largely on their own accord with only minimal prodding from my conscious mind; any empowerment necessary must have been given in a past life or granted from afar... Now the Flow is a part of my daily life that cannot be ignored. Though it is surreal at times, I am grateful for its ability to aid my meditations at will. However, I wouldn't encourage neophytes to purposely induce full-fledged Kundalini flow if they don't know what they're getting themselves into. The structure provided by empowerment rituals and guru-student instruction can certainly be invaluable for giving the practice meaning and helping new practitioners from its "pitfalls" (megalomaniac thought-processes seem to be a tenacious negative here, but basic Buddhist contemplation and meditation practice do well to eliminate the problem).

WiseFire777 Hi, Is there a Christian version of the Charkas, I know there is a jewish counter part to them, Thanks. Not to my knowledge; the Jewish counterpart is likely the Tree of Sephiroth from Kabbalic tradition. I wouldn't expect anything of the sort in Christian tradition since the religious focus is prayer and worship of an outward God, not the manipulation and study of the mind-body interface as is typical in many Far Eastern religions...the Kabbala apparently didn't even begin til well into the Middle Ages (and likely received Tantric ideas from India by that time, in my opinion).

mazuac Is there a buddhist sign? Like christianity is the cross, judaism is the star of david, what buddhism? Yes, the 8-spoked wheel found in your siggy is generally held to be a universal Buddhist symbol (of the Eightfold Path).
