A look of happiness fell over her expression as that small smile hit her younger brothers face and with another playful nudge to his side she moved ahead a little way and then settled close by to where he sat.
When the two were together they were all but inseperable.
"Perhaps it wasn't the Ophochio but that's not all that lives in water you know." Hababuu replied with an all-knowing expression. Her eyes snapped over to her fiery red brother and then back again to her much darker pelted sister.
"Fish bite sometimes and bugs. Or maybe she just has fleas." She laughed.

Azima's gaze shot back to Haba and he snarled slightly. "Oh shut up Haba, you don't know everything. You just know how to avoid the dirt and steal things." He hissed, stalking away from Jini too and curling up in the sun.
Uumi frowned, at a loss for what to do. "Azima stop being such a brat." He finally muttered, shaking his head slowly.

((Sorry it's so late. I've been a bit busy with RL. n.n))
Jini hadn't been expecting such a negative reaction from her family. Honestly, she hadn't been expecting much from them at all- except for an apology from Azima for frightening her so terribly.
Was she really trying to be the center of attention? It was possible. Sub-consciously, at least, but that didn't change that her family didn't seem very anxious about the fact that she'd almost had her tail bitten off by some monster in the watering hole. Jini glowered at Damu and stuck her tongue out at him for good measure.
"Well, no," she answered her father truthfully and bent her head over her tail once more to examine it closely, "but I thought something bit me."
The juvenile considered her sister's words carefully for a few moments and then gasped in surprise and outrage at the suggestion that she might have fleas.
"I don't have fleas!" Jini shook her head and held it high, jaw jutting out stubbornly, "and if I did -which I don't- they wouldn't bite me because bugs are my friends."
Then, Azima's words caught her attention. She watched him laze in the sun and then promptly turned her attention back to her sister. Steal things? Haba didn't steal things, did she?
It was an interesting idea that presented mountains of possibilites for action-packed adventure.
"Haba," she grinned at her sister, intrigued, "What did you steal?"

Damu flopped down on his belly, a very mild chuckle coming from him at Haba's mention of fleas. He poked his tongue back out at Jini, making a face as well. "Bugs can't be friends, Jini. They don't have the brain capacity to feel any emotions." He rolled his eyes, turning over on his back to paw at Haba's chin playfully. It was only around her that he showed any sign of a good mood. Tilting his head back to look at Jini upside down, he said, "Besides, fleas are just blood-thirsty insects that feed off a vermin. So if you had them, that'd make you one too." He cackled, flopping his tongue out at her again. Damu seemed to get such sadistic enjoyment out of poking fun at his sisters.
Yet just as his good mood seemed to be taking hold of him, Azima's words reached his ears. He ignored Jini's interest in the subject and promptly rolled onto his feet, fur bristling. His head lowered as a snarl pulled back his black lips. "Don't talk to her that way!" He took a few steps forward, placing himself protectively infront of Haba. "Take what you said back, Azima. Haba wouldn't ever steal anything!" The rage bubbled in his veins, the blackness of his pupils dialating to an extreme amount. Damu was pissed.

Azima's fur seemed to fluff up slightly, but he remained laying down. You couldn't say he wasn't afraid of Damu, he was... but he wouldn't try and show that. He snarled back and rolled his eyes. "She's stolen what was rightfull yours Damu, you idiot." His tail was flicking back and forth quickly. "Besides why should I take back a comment for you that was given so graciously to Haba? She's lucky that I even make a refrence to her. She's an evil little twit!" His voice was shouting and his paws twitching, as if he wanted to get up and go hide behind his father. He wasn't stupid... well in the sense that he knew his words were getting Damu more and more upset. And this wasn't at all fair to Haba, Azima hadn't even tried talking to her.
Uumi cringed and he stood, stalking between his two boys and sitting, ears flattening. "Enough you two, I won't hear such words about your siblings, Azima. Damu... calm.. down.." Uumi's voice was stern and deep, but his breathing was increased and he was panicing a little. Obviously this family needed tons of help getting along.

She giggled and moved to pat a paw against her twin's pale belly, hoping to tickle him. She wanted to hear him laugh! When her brother was happy everything was right in the world. It was as if everything slotted into place! She wouldn't allow anyone else to curse her family but somehow Damu's curses and teasing seemed to fall on deaf ears.
She loved her siblings, she just found it hard to admit it.
"Oh don't worry Jini. I was only joking about the fleas, though you better be careful. Fleas hang around the mud!" Her whiskers flinched and she chuckled lightly, only to be silenced by Azima's comment.
The fiery red sibling always had such an attitude problem! Grrr...how dare he say she had stolen anything?! Her own fur began to fluff up and she gave a sharp tilt of her head, flicking the fur up out of her eyes. She looked like quite the princess when she put on that expression.
Her heart flitted happily as Damu stood up for her and at Azima's reply it was her turn to roll her eyes. "Oh Azima, stop being such a baby." She laughed, "you're just jealous that your twin hates you and me and Damu get on perfectly. You should just learn to sh--"
Then Uumi stepped in and she moved to step up beside her brother, rubbing her side against his with a quiet purr. "Yes Azima, listen to daddy. Stop being a brat." Her tone was slightly teasing.

"What do you know of friends, Damu?" Jini spat angrily and ground her feet into the dirt, while glaring vindictively at her lightly colored brother. She was not a blood-thirsty insect.
Her own temper had been sparked by the others that raged around her; terrifying, intoxicating and positively contagious.
"Would somebody please tell me what's going on here?" It was a small, stubborn cry that could easily go unheard by engraged or frustrated ears.
The true meaning behind her brothers' duel may have been utterly lost to her, but Jini couldn't help but experience the full effects of the negative vibes that flowed between their bodies. They weighed down on her shoulders like a pair of ton bricks.
What was with all of the hositility? So what if Haba had stolen something?
She was confused and suddenly frightened, but discinclined to let anybody know it. Jini stood back a little from all of the commotion with her ears flattened against her head and, after recalling her sister's comments about flees, muttered something barely audible from the corner of her mouth;
"I like mud."

Uumi cringed. "Haba stop calling Azima a brat.. stop it, all of you." He stalked toward Jini and sat down, gently nuzzling into her seeing as she was a bit distraught. "It's alright darling. "He murmered softly. "Nothing that makes sense is going on." But Uumi knew they were fighting about twins. He frowned as he glanced between Azima and Damu. Where did he fall with his own twin? Probably somewhere of a mix of the too. Uumi had never worshiped Kiuma... but perhaps he should have. He had started his life here... and she had started hating him. His tail flicked and he sighed.
Azima's eyes flashed and he glared at Haba. "Jealous?" He spluttered and then laughed, though it was a little horse. "Haba in no way does Keaira hate me. Like usually you have it backwards, but that's not surprising with your pea sized brain. Why don't you go stare at your reflection some more?" He hissed, hoping... no praying his words hurt her a lot.
He turned and began stalking away from his family, tail whipping back and forth. He hated Kea, not the other way around. Damu and Haba were so stupided. And he hated all three of those twits for ruining his playtime with dad.

(sorry it's late!)
Damu had puffed himself up to a sizable amount. He was already showing signs of becoming quite a large adult, and with his fur on end and a snarl on his face, Damu looked almost...insane. "Shut up, Azima..." His words were laced with the deadliest of poisons. Tail flicking dangerously behind his back, the violent youth began to move forward in Azima's direction, his intent nearly radiating off of him. Yet just as his pace moved to prepare for a spring, his father stepped between them. He stopped short, a bit of the anger immediately dissipating. Not even looking at Uumi, he muttered, "Sorry, father."
He turned and stalked moodily back towards Haba, throwing a slightly apologetic look at Jini. He didn't mean to make his sister upset, really. He didn't mean to make anyone upset, but when it came to defending Haba, he couldn't control himself.
As he reached his twin, he pushed his forehead against her shoulder. Turning his head to glance back at the retreating Azima, his words became hushed and for Haba's ears only. "Don't listen to him. He's just being an idiot." The juvenile shook the little bit of black mane he had, his dark eyes narrowing. "I hope he's got better sense than to wander off alone." Damu left the statement hanging there, the faintest bit of a grin on his muzzle. He wouldn't want Azima to suddenly have an "accident" while off being moody, now would he?
Chuckling internally, Damu removed himself some distance from his sisters, flopping down near the watering hole.

She fluffed up at Azima's words, casting a somewhat evil glare in his direction. Yet when Uumi stepped in again the little girl backed down sddenly realising that such bickering wasn't ladylike.
With a small, dignified sniff she raised her head, closed her eyes and turned her back on Azima, pausing only when Damu came to buffet up against her.
"He's just jealous." She replied sweetly in a lowered voice. For as far as she was concerned she had never stolen anything from Damu. They did not steal, they shared. They shared everything and that was the way it was supposed to be.
"I'm going to explore Damu, I'll meet up with you later, okay?" And with that she swept off and skittered over in the direction of the river. She wanted to explore and she also wanted to find something to cheer up her brother - though she had no idea what that was yet.

Uumi sighed deeply and shook his head, tail flicking back and forth. Damn these cubs could be a handful, couldn't they? His eyes moved slowly toward the sky, he'd decided to give up trying to get them to get along. Azima had already run off and it looked like Haba would be too. The sky... just like Sye's eyes, just like half of his children's eyes. He missed Sye, she hadn't been around much lately.

Damu raised himself up slightly as Haba scuttled off, the expression on his face clearly showing that he wanted to follow his twin. But she was much too fast for him, so he flopped back down. He'd find her later on. He himself was a bit restless anyway. Perhaps a journey in the direction of the forest?
Getting up, he glanced at his father with his mocha eyes. It was merely intended to be a passing glance, but his eyes came back. He'd seen that expression more and more since his mother began showing up less and less. Even Damu, who was never that close to Sye to being with, was beginning to miss her presence. Padding quietly over, the young male paused awkwardly before pushing his nose into Uumi's mane. He backed up quickly after that, looking at the ground, and mumbled something entirely incoherent, but definitely had something about 'mother' in it. Looking up a brief moment, he turned and slowly began walking in the direction of the forest.
