Aside from a sharply hissed intake of breath at the touch of his horn on her already tender injury, Ladius took the whole procedure rather stoically. Upon inspection after opening her eyes, Ladius could see that both wounds were still visible, but it was as if someone had merely drawn a line along her side and shoulder; no more gaping red wounds. And while both injuries were still tender, it was better than it had been.
Finishing her inspection, Ladius turned and gave the stallion a smile. "Well, it's not up to unicorn par, but this is a vast improvement over what I had going on before. My thanks, Artemis Entreri; even if it meant you got put out, I appreciate the effort." And she did; now she wouldn't have to be quite so careful when she took off again, at least until she found Elizabeth. Though the less falling she did, the better, at this point.

Artemis Entreri after done, only snorted a bit. " well i did tell you the healing powers of a alicorn aren't that good and i have a feeling i'll never again heal another, the feeling just did not sit well with more." only his words where the visable show of his distaste of healing. rufflign his feathers to rid himself of the feeling, he then step away to give him and Ladius space.

One brow quirked again, and Ladius was smiling in amusement more. Did he have any idea how peculiar he sounded? Probably not, or he likely wouldn't have said it. But no matter, he was entitled to like or dislike whatever he wanted; it wasn't like she planned on getting herself beat up on on a regular basis, and even if that was the case it was highly unlikely she'd encounter him before any others.
"Well, consider it a learning experience. You learned that you don't like healing, so now you can keep that in mind next time someone injured comes along. But even though you didn't like it, it was a good gesture." Raising her head from examining her injuries, Ladius met his eyes even across the few feet that now seperated them and nodded her thanks. "I owe you one, Artemis Entreri."

Of course he knew exsactly how he sounded and had said what he said with out the slightest care. " learnign experiance yes but to give out a good gesture isn't me so your lucky." as she said she owed him one, that almsot brought a sly smirk to his face but he ket it striaght. " oh i do beleive you do but in time you'll repay the kind gesture i decided to give." oh he hated having to use the word kind or good, when really he wasn't a kind or good soquili, not at all though his actions today where out of courioustity or how to heal.

"Lucky, eh? Well, that's just one more instance of luck I can chalk onto today's tab."
Now that her side and shoulder weren't hurting as bad and she wasn't convered in dirt and dust, Ladius' temper had cooled. Granted, that didn't mean she wasn't still plotting 101 excellent ways to get back a certain kalona (starting with gelding him!); it merely meant that she was less overtly hostile. And it wasn't like she had a great deal of ego anyway, so thanking another was anything but hard.
So it was with humor and not anger that she met Entreri's comments, albeit her own slightly twisted sense of humor and smirking smile. "Awfully high-handed of you, isn't it, Artemis Entreri? To decide that I WILL do anything, that is. Isn't the point of a favor being that it's done voluntarily, after all?"
He wasn't like the other stallion's she'd met, this Artemis Entreri. Maybe it was because he himself was a trained fighter, or maybe it was that he simply was confident enough in himself that he didn't need to snark others. Who knew?

" ah but as you now know more of me, i dont do a thing with out a price when it comes to doign somethign for someone else adn its always been that way with me." Entreri then let a sly smirk come to his face as he spoke his next words. " high-hand? no, no, no merely confedant that you will repay me for what i did." always confedant and appearing relaxed though really he was on guard and could defend himself at the feints hint of a fight. from jsut the two meetings he now had with Ladius, he had the oinion she was different in the fact she was a fighter herself and even commented back to his own with humor and not anger like some would, with his confadence, and sly ways.

Ladius allowed her grin to widen. Knew him better now, did she? Flicking her braided tail, she sauntered past Entreri to the lakeside, where she lowered her head to take a drink, deliberately shutting him off for a few long moments before returning her attention to the stallion.
"I'll concede we've talked, but you never mentioned a price before, which is simply bad business. Though you're right on the money about me repaying the favor, as I said that I would and am not the type to renege on that. Still, you're making an awful lot of assumptions based on two meetings, wouldn't you say?"
The glint in her eye was a challenge, measuring him up as it were. Given how lousy the earlier part of this day had been, she could do with some amusement, and this was fitting the bill perfectly.

Entreri was having his own amusment now as he waited for her to finish her drink adn respond. and after she did, he could clearly see in her eyes ashe gazed at her that there was a challenge now and of course he wouldn't back down. " " bad buseness maybe but you learned rather quickly after that i would have asked for a price anyways. and even if you where the type to renege on that i wouldhave done somethign about it anyways. " always enjoyign a challege, he conituned. " assumptions, yes but things happen and are based off assuptions, am i wrong? and so far i haven't been wrong yet. besides.." letign his sentence trail off, he then gave a dark grin as he finished his sentance. " one can surely learn quiet a bit, if they are observant enough and skilled." maybe he was showign a bit too much of his character but no matter, really he hardly let on more than that.

Meeting his gaze clearly, it was almost as if she were seeing her own expression mirrored there; but no, he was simply amused as well. Well, there was no reason why someone had to be serious in this sort of exchange. "But if we're talking bad business, I"d say it's worse business to do the deed and demand payment afterwards. You should have requested payment upfront, or at least let on that there WAS payment. I was merely thinking you noble, after all!"
Not that she looked like she was taking it hard, by any means.

" ah you are correct there but one's actions, words, and looking at ones eyes can tell all if that person is not skilled in hiding their emotions and can speak in such a away they give nothing away." yes he was amused and was letting it show but he always was quiet serious through out it all dispite the amusment in his eyes. " me noble? that Ladius is something you can find out for your self. you are correct though that to demand payment after doing the deed is foolish. i merely told you i would have though as i yet again asumed that you might repay what i did which ou said you will also i have no problems forcing a payment dispite letign that fact be known. and maybe i just asume too much for my own good but you can be the judge of that."

If he was trying to dance around her with his words, it wasn't going to work. Smiling in her smirking fashion, Ladius took a step forward so that she was literally toe to toe with the stallion, even if he was bigger. "So you're saying that you'd do whatever it takes to get this payment. Interesting concept, but since we're working our way into specifics, why don't you elaborate a bit on what this payment is?"
Nevermind that she'd already promised him a favor, he almost made it sound like he had something in mind. And she was curious now, so..."Spill it, Artemis Entreri."

ah very bold move indeed was his thought when she stepped forward and was toe to toe with him. " yet again your correct in what you say. and as for what the payment is..." he now started to really think what he could get this mare to do as payment for healing. it didn't take cunning too long to come up with something that was purely perfic for payment. " you'll come to find out what it is the next i see you and hpefully at the time your injuies are healed enough so you can preform correctly." his choice of words made it sound like somethign else when infact he ment sparing but he wanted to see how sharp she was.

If it had been any other stallion, Ladius would have kneecapped him right then and there; regardless of intent, innuendo was enough to get just about any stallion onto her shitlist. But this was different. She'd talked with Entreri long enough to know what was going on, what he had to be referring to; after all, hadn't they commented on fighting enough? Given the fact that he was still looking at her with amusement, she didn't doubt that he'd phrased it that way on purpose to see her reaction. Well, two could play at that game.
Without even batting an eyelash, Ladius smiled angelically up at him. "Injuries or no, I find myself wondering if you really know what you're asking, Artemis Entreri. After all...no stallion's been able to satisfy me yet; we'll have to see if you've got it in you."

Ah she caught onto what he ment, but the fact she played along with his little game was almosta shock since he never expected that from her but more of her to attempt to kick his a** for what he said. " maybe i do and maybe i don't. i am sure with you not allowing any stallion so close would they beable to satisfy you ladius and we wont find out if i got it in me til later." alright the game had gone enough and he was ready to drop it and so he gave a more serious face than before. " you really should watch what games and whom the game is with that you go along."

He was certainly cocky, she'd give him that one. But then, they'd already determined that earlier, hadn't they? "Well, it probably would be in the best interests of both of us to wait. Last thing I need is to totally crack those ribs, after all."
Stepping back one step from the stallion, Ladius tossed her mane again, then gave him a measuring look at his last words. "I don't know what you're thinking, Artemis Entreri, but I put a great deal of thought into who I'm playing around with. If I hadn't known you were joking with me, I would have had a hoof cracked across your knee before you could have even blinked. Or..."
Here she narrowed her eyes slightly and stepped back up to Entreri, staring at him as though they were the same size and she wasn't the least bit intimidated...although actually, she wasn't intimidated anyway. "Is this your way of saying I should be afraid of you? Correct me if I'm wrong, but you didn't strike me as the type that stooped to rape." The words were a bit bald, perhaps, but entirely truthful. Given his warning, who would have thought otherwise?
