The elven maid's eyes were cold and she nodded silently. The glow of the fire tattoo faded gently. Golden Ryne turned to Arai.
" You have not studied magic before have you?" She asked a bit of an irish like lilt in her steady voice. The elf's smooth skin shimmered in the light and she tossed her flaming hair over her shoulders.

Arai shook her head. "No. Never, But that was really good," she replied. "How did you learn to do that?"

The young elf offered a small smile.
" I am a daugher from a royal family. I am trained well in the art of elemental magic. I have little trouble with healing. I am to be leader of my Empire one day. I learned that trick a long time ago..." Golden Ryne let the memories sweep back to her. She smiled gently again.
" Do you think I might be transferred out of the class?"

Arai looked thoughtful, then said, "Well, to get transferred out of a class early, you have to have an evaluation of your skill by your main teacher and the teacher of the class you want to enter. Of course, they dont expect you to be good at your transfer class, so you really just have to do good in your fire magic and have a littlebit of aptitude in the other class you want ot go into." Arai looked up with a smile. " I've heard that the healing teacher is usually pretty nice."

Golden Ryne looked hopeful. The hopeful face was soon replaced by the stoney mask again.
" I hope so." She said softly. Her bright eyes took on a sad shine to them. Her fire tattoo began to glow softly again.

Arai smiled encouragingly "I'm sure you'll do fine in an evaluation." Leaning over, she whispered," I've heard Kaji can be a bit of a p***k at times, but he's usually pretty easy, so you shouldn't have trouble passing."

Golden Ryne was really starting to like this girl. She wasn't royalty like her...Or as skilled, but it worked. She was really nice and the elf maid wanted a friend.
"Thank you." Ryne whispered back." He is rather cute though.." She giggled and blushed.

Renka put her hand out and slowly, sparks started to come up from it, and soon a small fireball floated neatly from her hand, as soon as she thought it would last, it quickly faded away.

Kaji nodded at Renka's attempt. "It's a start," he said encouragingly. He then truned and walked back to the front of the room. He picked up a notebook off the desk, looked at it for a minute, then said, "Okay then, we'll start with some control techniques and then some ways of powering up your flame and then......we'll have our first mission." He snapped the notebook shut with a roguish grin. Nodding, Arai replied to Golden Ryne," He's not bad looking....but not really my type." She grinned at the the elf maid. "I like em dark and mysterious!"

Renka looked at Kaji, knowing that he was laughing inside like everyone else does when she try to make a fireball on her hand. She looked away after he said what he needed to say and looked at her drawing that she started to draw this morning when she woke up. It was a drawing of a girl that looked alot like herself with fire all around her with her grinning and hair flowing in the air.
